We came here for a wedding a few months after opening. Overall the resort was great but construction and a decent amount of unfinished areas took away from the experience a bit. That being said, everything else was solid. The butlers and waitstaff were truly excellent. They were attentive and accommodating at all hours and went above an beyond to make our days on and off the resort special. The bars were well stocked with name brand liquor and the bartenders were mostly on point. The lobby bar could use a little extra staff to help with crowds and longer waits as it tends to get busy once the outside bars shut down as dusk. The food overall was pretty good compared to most all inclusives. Definitely get your reservations in early for the sit down restaurants as they fill up early. The buffets were a good alternative and not the typical trough food by any means. All in all we were very happy with the food and especially the cleanliness! Great job and we will be back to see how it turns out when the construction is complete.

I must say this resort I attended when it first opened. I travel a lot and this was my 113 Resort I have been to. There was some issues with check in times but that was to be expected as they were setting up rooms constantly the whole week I was there. Luis Armando my butler was what really made the stay feel more welcome and really get me and my guests involved with activities and to go above and beyond to make my stay a comfortable one as I was irritated again with the check in time as I had another resort I needed to do a day trip too so I could review for my blog. The food was amazing I do have to say and not all the restaurants were open so another reason I wasn’t able to give a full 5 stars but I’m sure when I return this year to do a follow up after a year in the works of being open so I can give a full review of the Majestic. I look forward to going back and also getting one of the room top rooms with pool :). I do hope I see Armando as without him I know it will be hard to give a 5 star as he really does go above and beyond to make sure the guests are having a good time. And customer service is a big part of any review. Look forward to seeing you all again from your Canadian friend Matthew Aka Mateo :)

We visited Majestic Elegance over Christmas - New Years and had the best vacation in a long time. While the resort had just opened and there were still some finishing going on, it is beautiful. We stayed in the club section - which provided a private butler to make sure we were well taken care of. The physical site is amazing. There are pools wrapping around the buildings so you can easily swim in a 300m pool for lengths, play in the main entertainment pool, or relax in the raised lounge pool overlooking the resort. The ocean beach is amazing white sand and clear blue water. We indicated on arrival that we were plant based/vegan. Giovanni - the food concierge found us and each day made sure that we had great options to choose from in each of the restaurant - ok, except for the steak restaurant. Chef Raul made us great options, and Fidel in the buffet restaurants made sure we alway had fresh coffee or a glass of wine! Thanks to all. Some comments - I think as the resort had just opened they were not yet used to different diets. So it was not clear in the labeling in the buffet which items were vegan and which were not. Even the same recipe such as a particular soup would vary sometimes day to day whether it had dairy or not. So we spent time asking and double checking. Beach drink service was great - although it was a long walk for the waiter back to the bar, so patience is a virtue :) Also - just about a mile down the beach is a great massage place - highly recommend that as well. Massage on the beach with the ocean waves as a backdrop is amazing. We did not try the spa at the resort although I heard it was great! We would definitely go back to this resort. It is about 40 minutes north of Cancun so there isn't a lot to do right around the hotel that doesn't involve driving - which was perfect for us.

Our experience at this resort was top notch. The food, the drinks, the accommodations and the staff were amazing. We booked The Club suite with an Ocean view and a rooftop pool. GORGEOUS! Alan & Pedro were the Lobby Bar evening mixologists and they were beyond words! Such good cocktails, attentive and entertaining. We made it a point to get there very evening after dinner to hang out. This two are superstars! Sammie (Sammie Sosa) was another great bar tender that we met on the beach bar. He was a lot of fun & made great margaritas for us! Butler service & turn down service was superb! Again...staff is amazing! The few days of entertainment we were able to experience was great! Live performances, interactive stuff for adults and family, games, workouts etc. Some side notes: I do wish that the A/C in the suites didn't auto adjust when we leave the room. I think it defaulted to 76 degrees, which was WAY too warm for us when we would come back from the pool and try to get ready for dinner. I understand the purpose of being economical an environmentally friendly, but maybe 72 would be more reasonable? We only set it to 69-70 when we slept. If we were in the room during the day, we kept it at 72. My next "con" couldn't really be controlled by the resort, but I was sad that when we visited the resort they were having to shut down due to covid-19. We arrived on 3/16 & by 3/19 things were being consolidated. The last few days we could only dine in one restaurant and even the main lobby bar was shutting down. Nightlife really didn't exist & that can be some of the best memories made! Maybe one day we can return when things normalize so I can actually experience everything the Majestic Elegance has to offer. I wish them all the best through these tough times. Hopefully they can recover and be a great success!

We stayed at this resort in early December. We didn't know what to expect as the resort had recently opened and the reviews we read were a little frightening. They seemed to have most of their issues ironed out and by the time we left all the restaurants were open and they were getting landscaping finished up along with painting. The food was great, the bar service was excellent. We had two different butlers, one who was available to us all the time and was always able to answer our questions. The other was absent. The beach was beautiful to walk on in both directions. The entertainment crew worked very hard to get people at events as the hotel was only 30% full. The only downfall was the poor workmanship with painting, etc. I understand that they were trying to get this resort open for business, but the hours of work it's going to take to clean up the spills of paint on the many different surfaces is going to be a daunting task.
