Really enjoyed staying at this lovely hotel--everything was incredibly clean from the common areas to our room. We felt very safe and well taken care of during our first trip to Baja Sur. We had a spacious ocean-view room with a big terrace. Loved the marble floors, fluffy towels and great bedding. The staff was helpful and we appreciated Eder's assistance in setting up a morning ocean cruise where we saw blue whales, dolphins and sea lions plus had a ceviche picnic. It was an incredible experience. If you are a light sleeper, opt for the rooms in the back of the hotel as the locals do love to drive their cars at night on the main ocean strip with loud music.
I would stay here again

The staff was super friendly, the rooms were cleaned even though it had dank (moist) odor to the room. But if you left your door open for a little while the smell was gone or run the AC. The bed was a little too soft for my liking, but I enjoyed my stay overall. I would stay here again in the future. It's not luxury, but it will do.
No sense of hospitality

make sure that you are willing to risk losing your reservation because they are not willing to work with you at all. Unfortunately for us, Volaris changed our flights about a month before the trip and we had to change the entire room reservation, and the hotel kept 100% of the reservation, so we lost that money entirely. We had stayed here before and we thought it was clean enough even though the rooms we antiquated. However, when we arrived to one of the rooms the A/C was not working. Called front desk, had a "technician" come over and he just said the a/c would work as long as we kept the door locked... well we did and it would not start, mind you, the other room had a nice a/c. Well they could not fix the a/c while temperature was more than 100 degrees, and when we asked for another room they said the hotel was fully booked even though we barely saw any people other than hotel staff that weekend. The towels were dirty, our clean batch had so many dark spots in them. Service was another issue. No welcome, no hi or goodbye which is strange for a hotel and there is no transportation option. We were traveling with two babies and we had to walk in order to get a taxi. Stay elsewhere. Preferably a local place and not a tourist trap
We highly recommend it!

Whenever my wife and I travel through Baja, we choose Santa Fe, we usually call to make a reservation for a long time, we have the contact of someone at the "Gibran" hotel who kindly helps us with the reservation, everything in the hotel works well, I would say that it is the best in the town and is ideal to rest after a long journey. We highly recommend it!
Disappointing

We have been to the Villa Group resorts in Puerto Vallarta and Loreto which are wonderful. Since the Villa Group also owns the hotel Santa Fe, we expected a similar experience. We were very disappointed as this hotel was several grades lower than the resorts. The towels were worn and grayish tinged. The mattress was supposed to be king size and was a double, not even a queen. Is was very uncomfortable and sagged in the middle. There was no coffee even though there was a coffee maker. The room completely lacked and charm and was very basic. It is okay for the price but nothing special.
