I decided to say f the lockdown and headed to Los Cabos for a solo adventure in the sun. The staff were very welcoming and helpful with everything I needed throughout my trip. My room was upgraded to an ocean view king and it was fantastic. There was lots of room, plenty of mirrors, a couch, a dining table, a wonderful bathroom, and a patio. The view was incredible from my room and the sunrises were amazing. The main pool is great and is where I spent most of my time as it looks out onto the ocean and gets the best sun. There is a pool bar that also has snacks and is where I had many laughs with the great bartenders. Shout out to Kevin, Eduardo, and Manuel for always keeping up with all the wobbly pops. A HUGE shout out to Ariadna, she really brought me back to life with her water aerobics and got my body moving. Her music was great and I had tons of fun with her. She is a very vibrant soul and it was an absolute pleasure getting to know her. Brenda also does activities and although I never got a chance to do any with her, she was an absolute doll to talk to and was very friendly. The resort is clean and well taken care of but just a few things to mention if you’re planning on booking here: -There is nothing open past 12 (this includes the sports bar) I’m assuming this is due to COVID but definitely something to keep in mind or to prepare for if you choose to keep the party going past 12. - All the restaurants are open but not at the same time, they switch days. (I’m assuming also because of COVID and limited capacities). -The resort isn’t very busy (also because of COVID) which makes it nice as there’s always chairs at the pool and you don’t have to make reservations for dining. -Bring a mask as you will need to wear it in the main lobby area and going into any of the restaurants. -For all my fellow Canadians, go see Mario at the Concierge and he will help you set up a COVID test to your room. It’s $250 US and saves you a drive to and from a doctors office. He is super helpful :) -This hotel is in San Jose, Cabo and is about a 30 minute drive down to the marina where all the clubs are along with The Arc and Lovers Beach. It’s a nice drive however and worth the trip. -Downtown San Jose, Cabo is super authentic and there is plenty of cute shops and restaurants. It’s about a 10-15 minute drive depending on where you want to go, but also worth the trip. All in all I had a great trip and look forward to coming back one day in the future. P.S. The beach is on a turtle conservatory so if you’re lucky and are there during the right season they release baby turtles, just look for the guys driving the quads and wave them down. They’re super knowledgeable with what they do and are happy to answer all of your questions. It’s off season for them right now but I was lucky enough to get to watch 4 baby turtles make their way to the ocean, definitely a bucket list thing for me and was a highlight of my trip for sure.

The lovely staff made us feel like family. Ariana, Christian, Eduardo & Brenda kept us busy with super fun activities every day. Kevin, Emmanuel, Jose & Fernando took care of us better than we ever could’ve asked for and made us feel at home. My friends and I are looking forward to coming back as soon as possible.

As a resort fitness specialist and traveling fitness instructor who has travelled and taught fitness classes all over the world, I'd have to say that this was a fantastic hotel to both teach at and enjoy. I had the privilege to travel with EduFit Teaching Vacations and teach Yoga on the Beach Monday-Saturday for two weeks at 8:00am. This was a perfect place to teach with the sun just coming up to warm the day. I was honored to share my love of yoga with dozens of people throughout those two weeks and we had such a good time! After two of the sessions we got to see tiny baby sea turtles released and two ladies from the class even got to put on gloves and each of them got to lead a baby turtle into the ocean! Often after the classes we just sat and talked for awhile and enjoyed the morning. The resort was wonderful for these reasons too- friendly and professional staff, a clean environment, amazingly prepared fresh food, and fun daily activities. Christian and the rest of the Entertainment team as well as the towel people (I got towels from them every morning for yoga) were very kind and gracious to me. And, of course, to be in Cabo!!!!! We relaxed at the resort some days and played in and around the pool, and also took a couple of tours. The last day I taught and said 'Good bye' to my yoga participants and to the new friends that we met the last week, had a spicy bloody Mary, then took off for home. I hope to come back and teach with EduFit again soon!

From the moment we arrived everyone was so friendly. The resort is beautiful and very well taken care of, especially during Covid, their protocol is strict so we felt safe. You have to try the fish tacos by Oasis Bar, please be kind to Pedro the bar tender, he is amazing and very sweet. Ask him for the Rainbow shot, you will be blown away! The food at every restaurant was pretty good, even room service. Movies by the pool and hip hop night at the sports bar was our favorite. Socorro at Risotto Restaurant took very good care of us, it was such a treat to be served by her again another night at the grill cafe. Manuel at the lobby bar was awesome! Ask him for a Cantarito, it’s delicious! We definitely plan to come back, hopefully soon!

My husband and I just returned home from our vacation to the Krystal Grand. We were welcomed with a drink and promptly led to our third floor room. This was nice because we had a great view of the ocean. Our bellman was nice and helpful, our minibar was stocked with beer, club soda and a few varieties of flavored soda. Our days were healthy, active, relaxing, fun, and we enjoyed wonderful food in the outdoor grill and restaurants. Here is an idea of an average day- Coffee at the Cafe'. 8am- Yoga on the Beach! This was a highlight of our stay and a wonderful way to begin the day! Linda, our instructor encouraged us to be ourselves and to enjoy the whole experience of breathing, moving and laughing together on the beach. She inspired us with daily encouragement and joy. One morning after yoga we all experienced a baby sea turtle release! Then breakfast. This was my husband's favorite meal. We loved the fresh fruit platters, the healthy juices, and my favorite breakfast was the cheese enchiladas with red sauce with a fried egg on top. Some days after breakfast we did archery on the beach. Some days we went to the gym to workout, and a day or two we just went right to the pool to relax and read. We hung out at the adult's pool which was quieter and had a swim up bar and two hot tubs where most of the people hung out. One day we ordered lunch and ate at the pool. Most days we had lunch in the Grill oceanside, where we would watch whales jumping and rays flying, and boats passing by. We loved the Grill's shrimp cocktail with a chunky salsa and avocado slices and their lovely salads. They were fantastic! The main dishes were a variety of fish, chicken, stuffed poblanos, etc. All of the servers were friendly and gave good service. In the afternoons, we either stayed at the resort and walked the beach, played pool volleyball or Bingo, or played a game of ping pong. A couple of days we took trips. One day into Los Cabos, and the other just a random bus ride and stopped at a variety of places. On Thursday night, the Entertainment Team hosted a trip into San Jose' to the art walk which was so much fun!!! There was a party on the village square. Christian and his Entertainment Team were exceptional! They were always friendly with a "hello" and offered daily activities. Before dinner, we usually went up to the lobby bar for a drink and some 'distanced' socialization. The bartenders at the lobby bar were constantly sanitizing the tables. Dinner was always fantastic! Not only was the food good, but artfully presented. We had choices between the Grill, Risotto (which was our favorite dinner place) and the Asian restaurant where the sushi was THE BEST! Thank you Anthony for inviting in to try it! The wine too, was good, and my husband liked that they had Stoly vodka for his drinks. A couple of nights they had movies on the beach. One night we played air hockey and pool, another ping pong at the Sports Bar. The nights were always clear and starry. We slept well. All in all, this was a very nice vacation!
