Having enjoyed our stay at the LH in Feb 2019 me & my husband ( in our late 50’s) we decided to go back this year and we wasn’t disappointed. Last year we had a room close to Sunset cove and had a partial see view. We emailed the hotel in advance and requested a room in the same villa. On arrival we were allocated a room in the adjacent building. It didn’t have the same view but was close to sunset cove. The room was very clean & had large comfortable bed. The standard of cleaning was very good with plenty of fresh towels being provided. The fridge was restocked daily with bottled water, Red stripe and soft drinks. All the staff we encountering whilst walking around the resort were polite and friendly including gardeners and women. Always a good morning etc. The hotel has excellent amenities and entertainment. Me and my husband joined in the daily Aqua excercise class most days. The classes were great ! The guys that take the class Ricardo & Strongman ? We’re excellent they gave a good work out but made it fun too ! The nighttime Adult entertainment in the Infinity bar was very good, lots of motivation to get up and dance and have fun from the entertainment staff ( particularly from Jovian) . We really enjoyed the 80’s night ( being of that age group). We didn’t go to the shows as that’s not really our thing but the families there looked to be having fun. Always plenty of sun beds available both by the pool and on the beach. We preferred sunset cove as it was quieter there and we could find some shelter under the trees. We went on the catamaran trip run from the sunset cove beach to Negril and then onto Ricks Cafe to see the sunset. It was a good full day out with lunch included for 100usd. We didn’t do any other trips as this was our 4th trip to Jamaica ????. The food in the buffet restaurants was very good particularly the breakfasts, plenty of choice including freshly cooked omelettes, eggs and pancakes. We thought the service in the buffet restaurants was actually better this year. Last year I was waiting ages to get some hot water and milk to make tea. I needed to ask several times. This year the staff were much more efficient ! All of the servers were very polite and friendly the young guys more so than the young ladies we found. The chef at the Japanese restaurant could see I was struggling to read the small print in the menu as I didn’t have my reading glasses. Of his own accord He cane out read the menu to me and as I have a health condition, and have difficulty with spicy food, he explained to me what would be most suitable for me. A really nice guy and it was most appreciated... it’s a shame I didn’t get his name ! The quality of food in the al le cart restaurants was good our favourites were the Japanese ( not the show table) and the steak house. Loved the Tempura prawns at the Japanese ! On some occasions in the al le cartes we wasn’t asked if we wanted a drink. On one occasion in the Japanese I waited through the whole of my meal for a tonic water. The quality of the drinks was very good e.g Bombay Sapphire Gin, Tanqueray gin For some reason the young ladies at the front of house in both the buffet restaurants and the al le carte restaurants have a very bad attitude towards the guests . They were quite ignorant at times, certainly not welcoming at all. It’s a shame as the rest of the majority of the staff were great. We were fortunate that we managed to complete our holiday and fly back to the UK just at the Covid19 travel restrictions were enforced. I hope it won’t be long before the hotel is back to normal and the staff are able to keep their jobs. They work so hard to give us a great time.

The resort would not allow ya to cancel the trip without being penalized $3,500 due to the corona virus. We went the weak of March 17th. After a few nights of being there they closed the resort and advised us to leave, they would not refund our money.

This place was absolutely amazing! Everyone is just so friendly and loving! The food is to die for! Treated like royalty is what you get. The resort was pretty empty due to all the Covid-19 stuff going around. They didn’t have the spa or some restaurants open due to this. I would definitely come back next year to get the rest of the experience!

My girlfriend and I were due to stay from 13/3 until 27/3 but due to Coronavirus we were repatriated back to the UK on the 22/3. The first main point I’d like to make is how pleasant the staff were, even towards the end of our stay when near enough all of them were told they wouldn’t have jobs when we left they all couldn’t do enough and were always walking around with a smile of their face. The evening entertainment is on a week repeat so if you are there for 2 weeks and watch all the evening entertainment on the first week, expect to see it on the second week but it wasn’t a problem for us as you can go to the blue lagoon bar and Watch a live band which were very good. The day time entertainment team were very good and welcoming. The cleanliness of the hotel is also at the top of places I’ve stayed at. There was always staff walking round cleaning, maintaining and generally keeping the hotel tip top. Yes, some of the hotel could do with an upgrade and abit of TLC but as the hotel was closing staff were already on that case so hopefully when it reopens it will look brand new. Before I travelled I read a lot of reviews about food being boring and that, there’s 3 buffets restaurants catering for over 3000 people, it will be the same a lot of the time but there are also 7 al a carte restaurants that you walk up to and grab a table so yes sometimes there will be a little wait, just grab a drink to get through the time, however, all the restaurants served very nice food, particularly the Italian. Rooms were very nice, stayed in the lady Hamilton side so the rooms were very spacious and always kept clean. The pool is massive and there is plenty of space so on our first couple of day’s when hotel was near on full, you never felt like you was on top of other people which was good. Overall this hotel was very good and would recommend it to anyone.

First you must know this resort is at least a 1 hour drive from the MOBAY airport, even more if there is a lot of traffic in Montego Bay. This is a huge resort but there are golf carts that can take you around. Anyone with mobility issues might have a problem. There are a few beach areas and more than one pool. All very clean. Rooms are comfortable but no elevators in the 3 floor villas. Entertainment each night was mostly enjoyable. However that 's where the good comments end. I will not go back for the following reasons: very little Jamaican food served which was very disappointing. I felt like I was in Mexico with all the spanish dishes. After a few days it was the same recycled menu. Even the a la carte restaurants were disappointing. Food was cold and not cooked properly. The only good one was the Japanese restaurant. The drinks were very watered down. If I can have more than 3 a day and not feel a buzz you know they are very weak. There were a few friendly employees but the majority we encountered did not seem to care. Disappointed not to have seen more games going on around the pool. The dispicabe attitude of the staff as they watched a man dying was horrendous. Staff should be trained in first aid, emergency assistance should be a few feet away. Relying on the guests to provide first aid should never have happened. I have been to Jamaica a few times and would recommend staying at a hotel close to Montego Bay. Food is much better, staff much more friendly and there was a closer family feel. If you have never been anywhere else in Jamaica you have nothing to compare this place to. This trip cost a lot of money and didn't live up to my expectations. I can't recommend it and won't ever go back.
