You don't have a reservation -- one letter was spelled incorrectly
jlinder8 (Great Neck, New York) on Mar 19, 2024
My second stay at the Fairfield Marriott Anaheim Resort started when the desk rep at check-in told me there was no reservation under my name. He asked for my confirmation number, which I did not have. So, the stress began. How could I not have a reservation? It’s March and I’d made the rez eight months earlier in July, and if somehow the reservation was lost, well, it’s Expo West, and there are ZERO hotel rooms around Anaheim for miles. Sitting with my luggage in the lobby, I spent a half hour digging through emails. No conformation number. Since this reservation was made via the Expo West travel booking company OnPeak, I called, but they were closed. When I called Marriott, within five or ten minutes a rep found my reservation. My name had been misspelled, one letter changed from an “n” to an “m.” The Marriott rep used my Marriott Bonvoy number to confirm the rez was, indeed, mine. Now, I ask, couldn’t the check-in rep at the Fairfield Marriott have used a little smarts? It was just one letter difference, so similar. But he told me I didn’t have reservation. Geez. So I might not expect much from this front desk crew. This is economy lodging, so the expectations cannot be high. But there are some unique drawbacks to this property that cannot be altered. One is, all rooms open to the open air, not a hallway as at most other hotel properties. Close by, maybe a couple hundred yards, there is a major freeway, so you always hear the sound of that freeway. Even in your room. On the positive side, the room was clean. There is no carpeting, just vinyl flooring. Ugh! Housekeeping did not make up my room, no service. I am not sure if that applies to the entire property. For me, this hotel did not meet my modest bar or expectations.
Got Covid…..won’t refund my stay!!

We didn’t actual stay there because my wife got Covid. Trying to do the right thing we decided to stay home. Although, they would not refund our money for our stay. They even told me that she could still come with Covid!!! This is what the manager Charles told me. Really? Not staying at this hotel again.
Family friendly hotel near front gate

Stayed one night with the family to visit Disney. Super-easy walk to the park. Very friendly front desk. Efficient check in and out. Clean, well-stocked rooms. Parking allows only one car, so we used Garden Walk parking garage as well. That’s the only wrinkle. Would definitely stay here again. Good value as well.
Extended Parking Charge plus Tax
Toni S on Feb 22, 2024
We have been staying at the Anaheim Fairfield for years, it is the perfect location for Disneyland. Our last visit was no different until I checked my credit charge and noticed that I was charged $104.13 for three days of parking. Daily parking is $27 dollars which it states when you check in. However, what they now charge for is an extended stay of $35 dollars plus tax if you check out of your room and leave your car there while at the park. This is the first time we have ever been charged with this in over 15 years. We were just here last February 2023 and were not charged the extended stay. On top of that they tax you. I uploaded a picture from their website that states Daily parking prices, no word of extended prices or that tax will also be charged. We will be looking for a new hotel for our next visit.
Robert and Michelle at the Front Desk went above and beyond to make our trip memorable

Like the title says, Robert and Michelle at the Front Desk went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. We came for our daughters birthday and they helped us get a room facing the park to see the fireworks the night before our visit. They also gave my daughter a birthday present. They truly made the stay amazing.
