Reasonable choice for Disney World if on a budget

As with other Disney properties, this one is unusual. It has a sports theme in a big way. Sprawling motel style with football, baseball and other themes displayed as giant sports items in the courtyards of the hotel as well as a scaled size football field, a baseball field that is actually a pool. There is an arcade (for fees at the machines), and restaurants. The staff are the usual high quality, well trained, upbeat and service oriented Disney staff. Grounds are very well maintained and very clean. Hotel room is very much on par with a Motel 6. However, decor is, of course, Disney. Room is small but adequate, TV, refrigerator. There is a curtain separating the room from the bathroom sink area with a door leading into a small toilet/tub area. Room was comfortable, clean, well maintained, not noisy at all (our room faced hotel exterior garden - might be a different experience if facing inward towards the sporting areas). I would highly recommend this for its extremely low price. It is very much within Disney World and I believe located in the Animal Kingdom area (but not next to it). The cost was about $130/night! Extremely low for Disney. The usual Disney bus transportation was just outside the lobby of the hotel. We already saw the newly constructed gondolas being tested - this will connect the All Stars properties with the rest of the Disney World complex. That will likely make these properties extremely popular (hopefully not increasing the nightly rate). When you stay here you get free Disney transportation between the Orlando airport and the hotel. Beside this saving at least $75 it has also allows one to tag their luggage before leaving home and seeing the luggage next in the hotel room (correct - - Disney assures that your luggage moves from your plane to the hotel without you having to claim it). Also, it includes the Disney wrist bands used for entry to the parks, entry to the hotel room, and charges throughout the property. Another feature is that if you are moving to another property within Disney World, the Bell service will take care of that move so you can enjoy the park while your luggage finds its way to the next hotel.

My family and I have just returned from the Disney's All Star Sports resort. The property and staff were just as good second time around. The hotel and grounds are spotless, great food and such friendly staff. A special mention to "Ireland" on Reception who was amazing a true asset to your company. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

My family and I just recently went to Disney World for a week and stayed at Disney’s All-Star Resort. The food at the resort was very good. If you are on the Dining Plan I would recommend eating your quick service meals at the resort, especially for dinner. Also, if you buy the rapid refills resort mug, you get a dessert with every meal instead of a drink. The desserts were AMAZING!!! If you don’t pay extra for a close room, be prepared to walk to the food court. The resorts decor (outside) was very cool. They have a football field, very nice pools, and EVERYONE that works there is unbelievably nice, friendly, and very helpful. Our only major complaint was the outdated room. My family and I had stayed in a newer Holiday Inn Express the night before we arrived here and it was so nice. It was like staying in $1000 a night room compared to the All-Star room. The resort and the room was very clean. The resort housekeepers kept the room very clean the entire week. I just think it’s way past time for the rooms to be updated. Other than that, it was a great trip. We will probably stay at a different resort next year but anytime we go and want a budget friendly room we will continue to stay at Disney’s All-Star Resort!

All in all, I had a good time with my son here. We just wanted a short vaca from home, with no worries, in a resort atmosphere. The pool was large. They had enough of a cafeteria with good variety. Rooms were pretty small, but large enough for the two of us, loved the sports décor of the rooms. We had issue with our wristbands not being activated, called front desk, and they sent somebody out to fix the issue. My only let downs were 1). We had paid extra for a preferred location room... and it had a tremendous view of the back of a surfboard and the pool equipment shed (so no view), and 2). the bus stop was open air, though it would be nicer to have some kind of roof shelter from rain and direct sunlight. Would stay here again in the future.

If you have sports mad kids like I do, this property will meet your expectations with all the theming. We picked this resort based on location and we wanted simply clean and comfortable, didn't plan on spending extended periods at the resort. The onsite restaurant is in need of an update and cleanliness there was a little disappointing. With a high turnover of diners, there weren't often clean tables to eat at and the sticky floor from the drink machines......well......gross. Our personalised wrist bands were not available when we arrived, so we missed out on having those for our stay. We found this resort good value, however, it should be noted we also stayed here because of the Dining offer that was available at the time of our stay. The shuttle bus was first drop off when leaving the parks which was great. One of the advantages of staying at a Disney resort is having any purchases sent to your hotel. Not ideal when those purchases arrive to the hotel broken. A small hiccup in an otherwise happy stay at this resort.
