Stayed here for a Kawasaki USA business meeting. The rooms were impeccable. I stayed in one of the King suites...not only a separate bedroom with King bed, but also living room area with large flat screen, couch, breakfast table, sofa and comfortable reading chair. Had a sizable outside patio/veranda which overlooked part of the beautifully maintained golf course and surrounding desert and mountain areas. Decor was modern and light. Use of high quality, light beige/sandstone wood flooring with modern fixtures, shower glass and deep soak freestanding bathtub. Really one of the nicest, updated hotel rooms I've stayed in for quite a while. Golf course was also meticulously maintained and swimming pool are was spacious, modern and clean with plenty of lounge chairs. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

While the golf course at the Marriott in Palm Desert is beautiful and exquisitely maintained, they could certainly use a map of the course or better signing from one hole to the next. We had a terrible time finding our way.

We had a great stay here for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed in a remodeled suite, which was very tastefully appointed. The only issue we had with our room was that we overlooked to Conference Center/Ballrooms, so our view was not great, and the noise for the Air Handler for the CC was loud enough that we couldn't enjoy our balcony. The noise might impact light sleepers, but wasn't a problem for us. We enjoyed 2 days at the pool, and Robert, who was our server the first day, was awesome. Service at the pool can be a little slow, but I think that has more to do with the Kitchen/Bar than the servers. The pool was mostly quiet on Friday but definitely picked up on Saturday. If you're looking for a spot with some shade, I recommend getting there before noon. The only meal we had at the property was the Friday nite Prime Rib and Seafood buffet at the Rockwood Grill. Service was excellent, and the buffet was not bad (probably average for a buffet). The desserts at the buffet were top notch however. We opted out of housekeeping in exchange for 500 extra Marriott points, so I can't comment on that, but the housekeepers were always friendly and asked if we needed anything when we encountered them in the hallway. We enjoyed the live music in the Lobby Bar, which ended too soon, imho. Understandable tho, given that a large number of rooms are open to the atrium lobby. Both my wife and I enjoyed Indian spiced Old-Fashions from the bar, which were unique and very tasty. The property is huge, and that's not counting the golf course. There are fire pits sprinkled throughout the property, which is a nice touch, and there are a variety of lawn games and an 18 hole putting course as well (please keep your children from gouging the putting surfaces, or at least tamp down the divots when they do :) ), so there is plently to keep people entertained. The grounds are immaculately maintained, and very pretty. I special shout-out to Mark from the Bell Desk, who kept my wife entertained with information about the property and area while I went to get the car. We definitely plan on returning once they complete the planned lazy river (thanks Mark, for that info).

Spent 3 nights here on business for a trade show. Enjoyed my newly remodeled room. Comfy beds! Nice size room and bathroom. Beautiful grounds. Enjoyed the mini golf and boat ride with the beautiful swans. The only big issue was the noise since the majority of the rooms surround the atrium. So if you are not one to stay up late, the noise will be an issue. We also experienced poor service during breakfast on day 2 and 3. But service the first day was great! It would be nice if their staff was consistent. Great cold and hot buffet including an excellent omelette bar. We will definitely return.

We stayed here two nights in one of the newly renovated rooms. The positive is the rooms are tastefully done with nice colors and the bathroom has great lighting. The negative is they forgot to put slow close toilet lids in the bathroom and outlets are on the left side of the sink. A 4 star resort should always have a slow close toilet so I don’t have to hear Henry drop the lid in the room above me at 2am. Outlet should always be on the right of the sink so women aren’t fighting the cords on our hair appliances. Last, the pillows are awful! Buy American Marriott from My Pillow. Everyone will thank you.
