Just had to leave a review of this JW as we are checking out today. We could not have been happier with our stay! The people here were incredible! Such warmth and service oriented. Our room was delightful, had a little kitchenette area for keurig/micro/fridge. Our Platinum status offered us a luxurious breakfast each morning at Rita’s that was OUTSTANDING! They rolled out a new menu while we were there offering so many fantastic and health conscious options. The spa was a terrific delight when the weather outside was too hot for golf! Huge thanks to Sammy at the spa for being so gracious, Alan, Gigi, Orlando, Nate, Angel and ALL the service staff at Rita’s for treating us so special! The grounds are beautiful, especially enjoyed the bronze work by Dave McGary. What a perfect place to celebrate special occasions! This is now one of our favorite hotels in the world! Thank you everyone! Stay safe and peace to you ??

Being a Marriott Titanium status member, I was super impressed with this JW Marriott. Service in all respects is outstanding. The rooms are sizable, including a lovely porch, and we were upgraded to a great Camelback Mountain view (with an exceptional sunrise). My Marriott status entitled me to free breakfast for 2 persons each morning, including gratuity. It was fabulous!! Don't miss breakfast on Thursday through Sunday when the hotel arranges for a trained hawk (and handler) to shoo away the pesky crows and birds. Outdoor seating for breakfast is delightful. There is, unfortunately, the now standard $30 plus tax daily resort fee added to your bill, but at least this hotel offers a number of activities to make it worth your while (as long as you use them). You can also get a daily newspaper or two from the front desk (NY Times, WSJ or USA Today). The pool area is delightful, with great food/beverage services. I did not use the fitness room but the amount and variety of equipment is plentiful. I look forward to returning to this property again.

We stayed here for a little weekend getaway (we also went hot air ballooning!). The resort did a great job of making you feel like you are in a desert oasis. The landscaping is full of various cacti and there are lots of quail running around. We loved walking around the property. The restaurant was decent with good margaritas and live music. The breakfast at Rita’s was yummy too. We loved that the pool is open 24/7! The pool bar cocktails were yummy (I had the mango blended one). We had a great view of camel back mountain. I visited the day spa for a massage and the staff were professional and friendly. The hotels lavender lotion smells so good. We felt so relaxed and can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful Marriott resort. Comparable to my favorite Marriott outside of Dublin Ireland. I so enjoyed walking around camelback's to the foot of Mount Mummy, which faces Camelback mountain. My two friends from Chicago came here for a concert but it was canceled. We enjoyed all the wonderful sites and restaurants in the immediate area, very convenient the hotel provided a wonderful breakfast selection so there was never a need to go out for breakfast just for dinner and of course shopping. We even found an outlet mall. The pool was wonderful too. I do laps and they had a laugh Lane designated. I would go back anytime even though I live in Surprise Arizona.

A Great Stay with minor issues

Overall a great stay. Meredith at checkin is fantastic and upgraded me due to my Marriott status. The decor is Spanish hacienda meets log cabin, kind of odd but still a relaxing property and scenery. The beds are extremely comfy and there’s a well stocked mini bar. The pool area is very nice and wasn't crowded. My only knocks are minor and would be as follows: despite being about 2/3 empty, they stuffed everyone together in rooms near the pool. They could have spread us out and avoided having to sit on my patio just a few feet from my next door neighbor who was also outside on their patio. They’re not true casitas if you share a wall and there’s even a connecting door inside the rooms (room to room) which allows for sound transfer. Maybe it was for the convenience of the cleaning staff that we were all so close? Speaking of cleaning, some parts of the room were a little dusty like the baseboards and edges of painting frames etc. They should do a deeper cleaning occasionally. There was also no cold water, just warm and hot. Starbucks was convenient, but the gym and spa were both closed when I walked by. Overall a good value for the money for a higher end resort during covid. Quiet, relaxing, not crowded, just what I wanted.
