We stayed at the Hyatt Ziva last week with my whole family. We had an amazing time. The hotel and the property was beautiful and clean. They have the best big sandy beaches. There are multiple pools and the water is so warm. We truly did not have one bad experience. From the time we checked in, right until we left, the staff was top notch. The front desk, housekeepers and servers were fantastic. Big shout out to Marilu and the entertainment staff for making every day fun. They made my moms birthday very special. The food was good too. There is plenty to do at the resort and it’s only a 9 minute drive to town. Would highly recommend.

For an all-inclusive family vacation in PV, this place is amazing. It's casual and laid back, so beautiful, clean, high quality and so welcoming and friendly. There's always something to entertain little kids (and adults). The food is great with tons of options and variety. The location is secluded but very easy to get to town. Most of all the staff is what makes it special. We see the same faces every year and they love their jobs and have such genuine caring for the guests. Alex, Marilu, Andre, Freddy, Daniel and the Entertainment staff have tons of energy and enthusiasm, and Itza and Oyuki keep kids occupied with games and crafts in a safe atmosphere. Susanna, who manages dining, takes service and quality very seriously, always with a warm smile. And Rodrigo, the valet who greets us year after year, is simply the kindest soul you'll ever meet. We've tried other places in PV but nowhere else compares!

I stayed at the Hyatt ziva Cancun and loved it. So I was looking forward to trying this place. Stayed in the club tower. The room was in awful condition. Black mold in the shower, broken, dirty and cracked tiles, stains on furniture, plastic mattress covers. The only things that we positive was the room and balcony size. Maintenance around the hotel was poor as well. Everywhere you look something needs to be fixed. The pools were not heated and they were dirty. I have a pool at home and it takes well over an hour to vacuum the pool properly. They spent about 5 minutes cleaning it. Tons of sand in there. The food was also awful. The options were limited especially in the Buffett. Food was cold and the “good” items were always out. The gym was set at about 75-80 degrees. This was at 6-7am. No fan and the equipment was old and rusting (I only used the treadmills) 2 were broken and did not look like they would be fixed anytime soon. They also make you sign a liability waiver which was appalling. Since when does a hotel not take responsibility for their equipment!? I also had to sign a waiver before entering the spa!?! And then again when the one lifeguard put a bandaid on my father due to the rocks in the ocean. Awful impression for your customers. There was one lifeguard on duty for 3 pools and the ocean. I did ask management to address the gym and expressed our dislike over the food and room condition because I was directly asked by someone walking around asking people about their stay. They insisted that the temp in the gym was fine. I’ve never sweated so much. It was cooler outside. I dropped it and tried to enjoy the rest of my vacation until a manager hunted me down while I was eating dinner to discuss it. This was after I told them I didn’t want to discuss it anymore and was going to try to enjoy what was left of my vacation. That put me over the edge. Where is their customer service skills!?! Housekeeping was also bad. They didn’t wash or sweep the floor once. There was one or two waiters who were excellent however overall service was poor. Hyatt ziva in Cancun blows this hotel out of the water. Go there instead. Better food, better service, better maintained, better rooms. Won’t be back. This hotel gives Hyatt a bad name.
