Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana

Very nice renovations. I stayed at this resort previously in 2015 and they’ve completely renovated since. The food was good at most restaurants..booking food reservations was easy using the iPads/Resort App. Beautiful beach. Hotel was at 1/2 capacity due to Covid so it was very laid back/relaxed. Room service was quick. Great staff. Would return again for a trip with friends.

(May 2019) Everything was perfect on our vacation until the last morning. My boyfriend and I left to go to the breakfast buffet, I left behind my prescription ray ban glasses and wore my sunglasses as it is extremely sunny. By the time we returned, our room had been cleaned and my glasses were no longer where I left them(between our pillows). I knew immediately that they had been stolen, so I went to the security there to speak with them. He couldn’t have cared less if he tried, he tried to accuse me of misplacing it or leaving it somewhere. He said “if you need them to see, then why wouldn’t you be wearing them at all times. I explained how it was obviously extremely sunny in the Dominican so it’s either I wear my sunglasses or my prescription glasses so I would always wear my sunglasses during the day. He mentioned how he saw me at the club the night before and said I was probably drunk and lost it. We were growing tired of his excuses and finally asked to just check the log and see who cleaned our room during the hour that we were gone. He said that there is nothing he could do and if we really cared about the glasses we would’ve put them in the safe. It was honestly disgusting to see how little responsibility they took for their staffs blatant theft. I would advise anyone visiting to put absolutely anything of value in the safe, because once your items are gone there is nothing that will be done. It’s just how it is there, it happens so often that it’s just to be expected. I forgot to mention that we ended up speaking to multiple staff members, and they all had the same nonchalant reaction.

This is the resort for you if you don't understand the consequences of contracting COVID-19 in a foreign country! Resort will eventually drift towards greed and prioritize revenue over guest health and well being. BEWARE of tours offered by the Hotel organizers as they have no regards for COVID-19 Protocols and will not warn you about dangerous situations or circumstances. Will definitely disregard your well being for the sole purpose of making a sale. Tours, activities, and hotel common areas have no enforcement or hard placed requirements for guidelines to avoid the infectious COVID-19 and you will find yourself in exposure more often than not. CANNOT recommend this hotel to anyone trying to avoid navigating trough a dangerous virus on a foreign country.

Beautiful place great for family’s and singles. Had a great time . Food great and many activities. Pools gorgeous and activities going on around it constantly. Lots of shoes every night. Nice buffetts. Warm nights and great bars. Only negative was when l took my grandkids to the teen club there was an issue but they were fast to take care of it

My stay at the bahia was totally amazing. my friends and I had a great time! We would always end up at the sporsbar late at night! I would like to thank Carmen!!! She took care of us 3 nights in a row!!!! thank you so much for your amazing service and your great attitude towards life! I hope to come back soon. Everyone was so nice and helpful.
