I had a massage at Your Spa Caribe with Katrina as the therapist. She was most excellent. Very intuitive in knowing how much pressure to use durimg the deep tissue. She relieved many of my aches and pains and helped me to relax. She is very very good, highly recommend her as a therapist!

I came here with a group of friends (6 late 20’s): Grounds: The grounds and buildings are beautiful, clean and well kept. There are multiple pools. One area near the swim up bar, they have some pool activities through out the day and music. There is also a lap pool and another quieter pool. The beach was beautiful. Some rocks in certain spots in the water but overall quite sandy. We never had an issue getting beach chairs and there was lots of shade at both the pool and beach. 5/5 Room: The rooms were definitely the worst part of the whole trip. The room itself was okay - spacious and pretty clean when we got there. A bit dated but the decorations were fine. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. But the walls are paper thin and we could hear noise in the hallway late at night and early in the morning every day. We could also hear people talking and moving around in the rooms beside and above us. This meant we were woken up every day around 7:30am which was very annoying and disruptive when you’re trying to enjoy a nice vacation. I’ve never had this issue at any other resort. The maid service was also significantly lacking compared to other resorts I’ve been to in this area. Very basic service - They didn’t ever clean much. 2/5 Food and drinks: The food in the buffets was good overall. Some food was very yummy but a few dishes were not very good. The dinner buffet options were always varied and tasty. Most of the food seemed fresh and warm. There was a lot of different salads, pastas, vegetarian options, fish, fruit etc. But, overall Ive had better at other resorts. The service in the buffets was inconsistent and it was hard to sometimes even get our glass of water filled. We went to three specialty restaurants - Spanish, Mexican and Italian. The food was yummy and the service was much better than at the buffets. The drinks were very good as well. 4/5 Activities/Nightlife: The club was fun. We went there a few nights and had a good time. The shows at the theatre were okay. There are some activities throughout the day around the pool. 4/5 Overall it was a great vacation but I don’t think I’d come back to this resort.

We were on a 7 day vacation at Barcelo Maya Caribe and we had 5 days of A la Carte. We went to La Tratoria for this Dinner. I had the Carbonara and it was great! My other peer had the Sea Bass. Both meals are very delicious! There is a self service salad bar that has a lot of options. Build your salad kinda thing. Staff are very accommodating and everything looks good and feels good.

Very nice selection of clothes and accessories for both men and women, limited sizes but Yael was very helpful. I got two shirts instead of the two shirts and two pairs of pants I wanted to buy because they only had the pants in one size which was too small, but I liked the style of the clothes they had on display, not bad for a resort mall store.

Amazing hotel and location. Great service from all the staff on the resort. The pool area is always busy so if you want a chair you need to be up early to get one. We found the same for the beach area. We loved the beach and spent most days there. Lots of palm trees to provide shade and the water is amazing to swim in. The only complaint was the buffet. Food was good but was luke warm for all meals we had there. We did one an la carte, the Italian, and it was ok…Unfortunately we did experience stomach issues during our trip, as others have also commented. I am not sure we will return to this location as we had stomach issues which is too bad because it’s a 5 star location…
