This my 3rd visit, same time of year. Upon check in my room was not ready. I inquired about an upgrade and was told by the woman that she would check with supervisor. I was not asking for a freebie. I went to pool to wait and she said she would call me with an answer and let me know when room was ready. By 4 pm no phone call. No follow through on upgrade pricing. I finally asked the bar tender to find out if my room was ready. It was. No answer about upgrade. Resort was less than 40%capacity. The weather in Cancun right now is very HOT AND HUMID.Unseasonably hot. Room was HOT. I set thermostat as low as it would go 18.5 Celsius. It never moved off 26 Celsius (78.8 F). My sisters room was the same. Engineering came to their room and said thermostats set to go no lower than 24 (75F) and thats just the way it is. After paying thousands of dollars for rooms this is crazy. There is a absolutely no ventilation in the bathrooms. Stifling. My second day I spoke face to face with concierge as my phone calls resulted in no action. I was offered a room where the thermostat would go down to 22.5. (73F). So I switched rooms and am sitting here now sweating as I’m sure the thermostat is broken. Miserable environment. The mosquitos this year are voracious. Never encountered them on previous visits. Because occupancy is so low both dinner restaurants are not open at the same time. They are alternating nights. We were not informed of this ahead of time. As usual all of the wait staff work hard to make the stay enjoyable. It is the powers that control the temperature of the environment that are dropping the ball and making for a miserable experience. The temperature in the dining room was stifling and most tables had requested fans. Crazy stupid way to cut costs. I brought a party of 6 here. I will not be back.

My wife and I first visited Blue Diamond in February of 2018 and had a wonderful time. We were blown away but the hospitality, gorgeous environment, and quality food and accommodations. The resort is a bit more integrated with nature, so you will see plenty of fun local animals roaming around. It is also an excellent location to have access to the many wonderful things that the Riviera Maya has to offer, though we were also perfect content to stay on the resort grounds and relax. The beach and pool areas are gorgeous and well maintained, and the spa are definitely worth visiting for a massage. After we got engaged, we chose Blue Diamond as our wedding venue in August 2019. We contacted the resort about a year in advance and were able to lock down our dates with a modest deposit. Haidee was our wedding planner and she was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was prompt in her responses, very well organized, and immensely helpful. She always had a solution and answers to our questions. Disaster nearly struck as our ceremony was under threat of being rained out, but Haidee and the staff were able to quickly improvise adjustments to the schedule and we ended up having the perfect wedding we always dreamed of. The staff at Blue Diamond went above and beyond to make the planning and execution as stress free as possible. We expected a pretty low turnout to our wedding but actually had around 100 guests but the resort was able to accommodate them all beautifully. All of our guests had a wonderful time and could not stop raving about the excellent service and beautiful scenery. The food for the wedding was fantastic, and it was served promptly to all of our guests. I would highly recommend Blue Diamond for both your vacation and your wedding. Haidee and the Blue Diamond Wedding planning team will take great care of you and your wedding will be the envy of all of your friends and family, like ours was!

Our first trip to Mexico we were looking for a quiet, high end, adult only resort with good food. This resort exceeded our expectations. The food, can’t say enough good things about the food, this is fine dining with exceptional service. The resort is in lush jungle and the suites are very private. It suited us well as we didn’t mind walking down the paths to the beach and later on had bicycles. We used the concierge to have the golf cart when we were dressed up for the night for supper. The spa was fantastic and we would recommend a couples massage. Our only hiccup on the vacation was we didn’t have a shuttle from the airport, this was likely our error as it was how we booked the trip, call ahead if you are unsure. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, rejuvenating, delicious and memorable vacation, Blue Diamond is your destination.

David Morales at the ceviche bar and the main dining room went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. The food, the pool, the drinks, the room—what more could you ask for? Came here on a couples weekend and was more than impressed. Love riding bikes throughout property. Would recommend: 10/10

I know this is a long review, but I wanted to be thorough! I can't say enough wonderful things about this resort! My fiancé and I decided kind of last minute to just elope on our honeymoon. We chose Blue Diamond because it was small, all-inclusive, and adults only. This place never let us down in any way. It's no easy task to arrange a wedding from a different country, but Haidee was incredibly diligent and devoted to making sure everything was covered for us.  From the moment we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice. We were greeted with cool towels, plus a delicious juice drink and chocolates during check in. As part of our wedding package (which was free when booking a cenote room or higher), we were given an unexpected room upgrade, which turned out to be perfect. Our room was not ready, as we arrived early, but they held our bags in reception and took us to the oceanside restaurant for lunch. That first meal really set the tone for the whole 8 days/nights we were there.  Adela escorted us once our room was ready. She showed us around and helped make reservations for some of the included (but space limited) activities. Our palafitos room suspended over the lagoon was very large and beautiful.  It had not only a patio, but an upstairs sundeck with a shower for cooling off. Our upgraded room also came with a butler, which we didn't think we needed, but Julian was so, so kind and did amazing things for us. There was a celebration for Mexican Independence Day, and we wanted good poolside seating for the entertainment, so we asked Julian to help reserve a table. He came back and told us our table would be the one with the bottle of wine. He also acquired a mattress pad for the bed (which was very comfortable, but just a little too firm), brought in an extra fan for our room, and so much more. The entire staff here is amazing!  Their hand-over-the-heart greeting was always heartfelt and genuine.  You believe it. There is a real sense that they care about you, and it isn't because of tips. Being our first all-inclusive, we were unsure about appropriate tipping, so we asked. We were advised that we could just tip at the end of our stay, and that really took all the pressure off. Even though we didn’t tip along the way, the level of service never changed. The food at all three restaurants is both beautiful and delicious.  The breakfast and lunch menu don’t change, but there are enough options on it that you won’t get bored.  The portions aren’t huge, but this allows you to order and try multiple things in one meal. It’s definitely enough food!  There are upcharges for a few menu items, and there are more upscale wine and liquors available for purchase, but they were never pushed.  The servers are great, and very attentive. Leo was so much fun and really took care of us! Herminio and Gabriel are also wonderful. Salvadore and Carlos are great bartenders, with Salvadore especially going above and beyond.  Although the drink menu isn’t very extensive at all, they can make anything if you know what you want.  These guys work hard and are always in good spirits! Our wedding on the beach was absolutely perfect!  Although we were eloping, there were a few traditions that meant a lot to us to be able to follow, and that included not seeing each other before the ceremony.  Blue Diamond already had a solution. When you have your wedding with them, they offer a complimentary room the night before (based on availability) for couples who want to observe this tradition.  We had just expected it to be the two of us for the ceremony, so we didn’t need much. They played the song that we requested, brought out extra cake and champagne for the other guests we met who attended, and our concierge, Sergio, even volunteered to act as our photographer!  He used his personal camera, and even gave us an SD card full of pictures to bring home! To top all that off, when we arrived back at our room, we discovered a banner across our door that read “Honeymooners”.  The bed was covered in rose petals in the shape of a heart with an arrow, and even more petals spelled out “honeymoon” at the foot of the bed.  We also found that our outdoor tub had been filled with a bubble bath and more rose petals. It isn't warm water, but in the tropical heat it is similar to getting in the pool. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Seaweed was a bit of an issue due to winds that washed it inland, but it in no way detracted from our stay. We will, without a doubt, stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, stress free getaway!
