Valentin Imperial, Riviera Maya

This place was incredible! The bed was super comfortable (I'm a picky bed person), the layout of the resort is perfect. We could enjoy the quieter parts of the resort (lazy river) and be in the action also if we wanted (main pool). All the paths are beautiful with flowers and trees and super cool birds. The food selection was perfect. You could do quicker buffet or sit down and order. Each restaurant at night was great! The service was sooooo good. So polite and helpful. The only thing that could be a complaint was that the food wasn't hot in the morning buffet. Not sure if the warmers were not working but this was the case every day. The room temp waffles and pancakes were not a deal breaker. Didn't meet any staff that was unfriendly. They keep their ocean front clean daily with a tractor. They have so many beds and chairs to choose from. This place also had so many places to sit. You could use all the areas for quiet or more social. Its so big it happens to meet all these areas. Drinks were okay. They were weaker than normal but i could have asked for more liquor and that would be ok too. What else? I never write reviews but thought this was necessary for anyone that was considering. We were in building 3 and had a ground floor patio. this was the cheapest room you could book but it did not fall short. You could sit on your patio and watch the Mexican raccoons ( we were told they were friendly, but we didn't engage with them) and birds. Room was clean and very welcoming. The ocean was perfect, totally able to swim in it. The only other thing was the Italian restaurant was slow, very slow. We only ate dinner the two of us with no drinks and it took 1 hour 45 mins. If you don't want to wait ever show up at 6 for dinner. My husband and I said we would come back to this place. A place has never been that amazing that we have said that about. We have stayed a bunch of all inclusives in Mexico. One more thing, the capacity wasn't anywhere near full and so that made a difference with noise, food, all of it. We were grateful is wasn't full.

We stayed for 12 nights in December 2020. Friends of ours from Arizona met us there for the first week. They are going back in June 2021 with their kids. The last 5 nights our kids(23g w/25 bf, 20g, 18b) came. Everyone had a great time. The staff is always friendly, the food is great and drinks are plentiful. We all loved churros from Santiago. I did 2 exercise classes, the aqua forza and water bikes. Both were tough workouts. The kids played beach volleyball with Felix and Jesus. They also did the bull riding, and some poolside dancing with Lorenzo. Edgar at the Golden pool took great care of us with lunch and drinks. Viktor and Maria at the main pool always remembered what we were drinking. Landscape crew was hard at work the whole time we were there still repairing from the hurricanes in the Fall. Rosariofrom concierge was sweet and helpful. Somehow she would find us and check to make sure we were happy and ask if there was anything she could do for us. I'm sorry that I forgot the names of our building 9 concierges, they were so helpful with anything we asked. Our housekeeper, I think Kristina, did an amazing job also. This is our favorite place in Mexico. We try to return every year. Our kids can't wait to go back. We all follow on IG even though we find it to be torture.

VIM exceeded our expectations from start to finish! The check-in and check-out processes were seamless, and well organized. Each and every staff member we had contact with were extraordinary. Martin at our swim out pool area was always on top of every request, timely, accurate, friendly, and fun! Our concierge for our building was so friendly! She helped us organize our COVID tests, shuttling our luggage for check-out, and answered many random questions we had throughout our stay. The swim up room was amazing- we loved our room and that we were so close to this quiet swimming area/hangout. It was always a very relaxing atmosphere with a few iguanas nearby at all times. Our room was serviced twice/day to have the garbage removed, bed made, etc. The mini bar was stocked daily around noon. Our room was very cool and had a ceiling fan over the bed which we loved! The resort was beautiful in every direction, clearly it is very well cared for by the landscape crew. Every restaurant we ate at was fantastic- each and every dish was above what we expected. We cannot say enough about the sushi bar- our favorite! The churro cart was such a nice touch for a quick snack or dessert. We only ate at the buffet for breakfasts- the options at the buffet were very good and plentiful! We were happy we brought our own floaties, Yeti cups, sunscreen, water shoes, and a bag to carry belongings to and from the beach. The beach is so well maintained, and there are plenty of spots for everyone to sit in shade or sun. There is a small rocky area when entering the ocean which is why we brought water shoes- really not the end of the world without them though. The covid test only took us about 15 minutes from start to finish. We had a printed result by the time we left the testing area. We presented our printed result at the airport, and had no issues. We would love to come back to VIM for more fun in the sun!!

The Valentin is an exceptional resort. The food was above good, it was phenomenal. There is options of top end spirits and the service is so attentive and efficient. Fernando our dive instructor was the best, felt very safe with him. GREAT time, we will return.

The place was beautiful the service was impeccable. All inclusive friendly staff. Many food options to choose from. Great Itinerary for things to do. If your going just to relax then you found your haven. Will go back again
