    Bay Tower Disappointing

Booked in the Marina Tower(MT). Check in easy-arrived at 2, were 2nd in line & room was ready. Told wedding party was in Bay Tower(BT) & we could move our room there (come to find out most of party WAS in the MT). Switched but was a mistake! Incorrectly assumed the BT & MT are in the same hotel-they are not! Told the BT was "down that way" (by the point of a finger) "about a 5-7 min.walk." Maybe but it took longer in heels & pulling my own bags! Later found out there is a shuttle between hotels but never saw it. Got to the BT & the hotel is much older & far less opulent. Room was okay, the beds comfortable but carpet looked worn & dirty. Sign on bathroom mirror encourages one to skip housekeeping for a $5 credit each night for use on property. Took advantage of offer & was told "someone" would "slip a credit under my door each night." That seemed sketch & the "credit" was never received. Didn't complain over such a small amount . Took a glance at the BT pool-very small. The MT pool is huge & beautiful. Lunch at BT Lounge was great. Breakfast at MT was ok. Eggs benedict tasty except english muffin was pretty raw-no indication of toasting-came with a greasy slab of hashbrowns. Hash of some sort came with a greasy burned slab of hashbrowns. Both dishes $19 each. Juice was not added to bill-that was a +. Express checkout-still waiting for email of final bill. Pricey stay for a room that should have been much less. Did not see MT rooms but they had to have been nicer than the BT.

Most memorable stay in San Diego.

This Sheraton is definitely one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever seen . From the moment I checked in I was greeted by Josie with a big smile. She was so accommodating to our needs . My parents are in their 80’s and they were only here for the short weekend . I had planned this for a while and I never imagined having a room with a stunning view of the San Diego bay . They didn’t want to leave . It was definitely the best anniversary ever! Thanks to Josie for the beautiful accommodations and also Jose who gave us the keys when the room was ready . . He is amazing too and gave us lots of information about the hotel . Let me not forget Sue over the phone who was so sweet . Overall everyone at the Sheraton has been so helpful . I will definitely stay here again ! Thanks so much for such a memorable stay ! The Blues

Do not stay here unless you like spending more money than expected

The hotel is nice. However, when we checked in we had to wait an hour and half before we could ever get into our room after traveling all day. When getting a room with double beds, the beds are full size beds, instead of queen size beds. Then, later in the week, we are hit with an additional $300 bill for resort and parking fees. The breakfast there is ridiculously expensive. $25 per person to be exact. We have ate at Ruth Chris for cheaper than what they charge. The hotel also had a 4th of July bash, which was nice, but for a family of 3 we were charged $70 for 3 cheeseburgers, chips and a soda! From now on we will only use VRBO or Airbnb.

    Stayed for convention

My wife and I stayed at this property as it was the host of a business convention that I attended. First, the good: The location is great, very near the airport and an easy Uber ride downtown. The view of the marina is also great. We had breakfast on the property and the food was delicious. The bartenders at the main bar were great. The made fabulous craft cocktails and the wines by the glass were excellent. On the last evening we ate at the sports bar. They had a nice selection of beers and the flatbreads and burgers were great. Now the bad: as an Elite Marriott member I was upgraded to a bi-level suite. The room was a bit dated and really had no view whatsoever. We would have been better off in a king room with a harbor view which is what I originally booked. Even though there were two separate thermostats we could not get the upper level to cool down even though we set it at 66 degrees. There are two pools on property and each one has an adjacent hot tub. We wanted to use the pool right outside our room but it was closed for about 36 hours because some child without a diaper had an accident in the pool. And, forget about using the hot tub. It was overrun by children (even babies) even though it explicitly says they are not welcome. Many of the people there (not sure they were even hotel guests)brought there own booze and let their children run wild on the decorative boulders around the pool (even though the sign specifically says "stay off the rocks"). I am sure that would change quickly when one of the kids falls and the idiot parents sue the hotel. All in all I was a bit disappointed in the hotel. It really wasn't up to Marriott standards.

Overall our first impression was this is a nice location for a hotel we flew in just for a long weekend getaway and we’re looking forward to fireworks that was superb the barge for the fireworks is just in line with the hotel it was so cool probably the best fireworks we have ever seen. The service in the hotel was good everybody was friendly nice patio outside with a fire. The rooms were just average nicely decorated very small bathrooms no room to really store anything in the bathroom I think we would stay here again if the price is right
