Honeymoon/Elopement in Paradise

First, this review is long overdue since our trip was almost 8 months ago (heading back to reality after this trip has kept us busy)! As our large wedding in August 2020 in the US was looking like it had to be postponed, we were scrambling for options. We had Serenity already booked for our honeymoon, so we decided to make lemonade out of the lemons life gave us and elope at the resort. When we finally landed on St. Lucia, negative COVID tests in tow, we were immediately relieved of all the stresses we had. Everyone at the resort was extremely helpful and practiced all COVID precautions. We had our temperature checked daily and wore masks when walking to and from our room and to the pool/restaurant/bar. We felt safer at the resort than in our local grocery store at home. This made traveling during this time just the escape we needed. The resort itself was beautiful and our room was exactly like the pictures online. Everything was clean and the staff was AMAZING. The hardest part about writing a review about Serenity at Coconut Bay is making sure to include every single staff member at the resort. Each person we encountered, for whatever service, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We were handed coconuts directly from the tree (Coconut John), spoke to a handful of landscapers, received endearing notes from room service (Shirley, Patrice, Chewem), met one on one with both the executive (Chef Angelo) and assistant executive chef (Chef Leo) for individually catered meals due to dietary restrictions, chatted with both the general manager (Zachary) and the CEO (Mark) making sure my stay was perfect, participated in a congo-line/dance circle with the sous chef, listened to numerous nights of quality entertainment, was picked up and taken by the drivers (Al) to the beach, was provided exceptional room service and had every call answered by the butlers (Arshon, Narissa, Quade), had drink orders memorized by the wait staff (Carlton, Tyler) and had custom cocktails crafted by the bartenders (Lee, Lez, Tessa, Delon). There are several people in particular that I must give an extra special thanks too. Not that everyone didn’t do an above and beyond effort but these individuals stuck out to us particularly. Lee – Bartender: There are so many good things we can say about Lee. Upon entering Serenity, I asked Lee to give me a little taste of the island. Lee lined up numerous taste tests of Admiral Rodney Rum, each of the Chairman’s Reserve Rums, and all of the Bounty Rums. One by one I tasted each rum while Lee gave me a history of the distillery, name of the rum, and the flavor profile. After selecting my favorite ones, Lee then made signature cocktails including the rums of my selection. By the end of my stay, Lee was providing custom cocktails tailored to my pallet with the rums I choose. When I got to Serenity, Lee and I were complete strangers but by the end of our stay Lee and I had become good acquaintances through numerous trips to the bar and long night chats about random things. Upon leaving, I consider Lee to be an amazing person and a dear friend. He would deliver drinks to the pool, playfully debate US and St. Lucia sports on the television, and allow me to request songs or even get on the computer and DJ for those hanging out by the serenity pool bar. I’m excited to visit St. Lucia again and catch up with Lee! Arshon – Butler: Arshon seemed to live at the resort, always going above and beyond helping guests to make sure everyone was taken care of. He helped coordinate reservation times for dinner as well as excursions on the island (only water excursions at the time due to COVID). He helped on our wedding day by videoing the ceremony with our phone as well as coordinated transportation for us both to and from the gazebo from our room. What can’t Arshon do? His smiling eyes behind the mask always made our day! Zach – General Manager: Zach and my wife both eat a plant-based diet. Traveling can be difficult at times due to resorts not having many food options for those eating plant-based. Zach and the kitchen staff made sure that not only were the meals vegan but absolutely delicious as well. There were numerous occasions where I would eat her plant-based meal and thought that it was just as good as my non plant-based meal. There was so much variety in options from many cuisines for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Those with any dietary restrictions would definitely be eating well at Serenity! Additionally, we had several staff make our wedding at the resort perfect and stress-free. Kwan -- Resort Photographer: We chose to have pictures taken by the resort photographer as a way to capture our day for us and for friends and family that were not there. Kwan did an amazing job capturing shots that we wanted not only at our ceremony but at various spots around the resort. We fell in love with all of our photos and have gotten so many compliments on them. We felt comfortable working with him, making all of our poses come naturally. Melonie – Wedding Planner in St.Lucia: When arriving to Serenity, Melonie met with us on our second day to go over all of the wedding details including timeline so the day would flow seamlessly. She showed us the gazebo we would be married in and walked us through where everything would be. It was helpful so that when our wedding day came, we could just focus on us knowing all the details were taken care of. Sarai – Pre-St. Lucia Wedding Planner: The first time we contacted Sarai we were still unsure if our wedding in the US would happen and wanted to see what options there were for us to elope in St. Lucia. Sarai helped us plan our elopement on short notice and answered all of the many questions that came up when planning a wedding in another country. Overall, we can’t say enough good things about the staff, room, food, and resort overall. Everything was amazing, we look forward to returning back!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this resort. Everyone was so wonderful and kind. The service was amazing, the rooms beautiful and clean. You can really tell the staff love their jobs. Ali, our number one bar tender, went above and beyond. McCarthy made our cabana dinner by the pool very special and Cornell went above and beyond to help us plan out the perfect week. Will definitely be coming back again!
One of a Kind, Amazing stay and staff

Serenity is one of the most amazing hotels to stay in. I just came back from my 40th bday and it was surreal. The pics of the rooms on the website really dont do it any justice, they are much bigger and nicer than they look. We had a the grand luxury suite with a huge out door area, youre own bar, a plunge pool, a hammock, then 3 separate covered seating areas. One with 2 chairs, one area was a whole cabana type situation with a couch and the other was another 2 table seating area. Along with an outdoor shower, if you go with friends, you can entertain everyone in the outdoor space of your room .Its huge. Inside the room is just as nice, open concept huge jacuzzi tub, and my boyfriend said the shower was amazing. I only used the outdoor shower because it's really nothing like taking an outdoor shower. The beach- very nice. the seaweed is only right at the front of the beach once you go in to about 4 feet its blue/green water. Get a cabanna at least one day at the beach. its comfy and if it rains you are covered. The sand is really soft and not rocky at all. The food at the great house is some of the best food I've had for lunch at dinner. Get the fish tacos for lunch, the jerk hut pork sausage and jerk chicken for lunch as well. Calabash and the great house are the best places for dinner. The pool is really nice, but I'm more of a beach person so we only spent the last few hours of the night there. The staff is extremely friendly and they remember your name and your face. McCarthy is one of the best butlers, he works so hard. Tip him well. I would suggest this hotel especially during covid times because you are not near anyone, plus there is a lot of entertainment at the hotel, since you cant go out into town. this was perfect!

What am amazing trip! Serenity at coconut bay did not disappoint. Every detail was meticulously thought out. Easy transportation. Our butlers McCarthy, Cornell, Ray and Quade were wonderful. Always there to help. From small details like dinner reservations all the way to a birthday surprise. The spa with Gabina and Shikeria did a great job pampering us. The bar and wait staff (Delon, Marista, Tyler, Christie, Lee, Jakim, Chard, Jemma, Sadie) are top notch. They are always there to surprise us with tasty treats by the pool, yummy eats, and drinks were never empty. They always remembered our names and allergies. They had fun entertaining us and making sure we wanted or needed for nothing. The restaurants Calabash and Silk were delicious and a wonderful atmosphere. Our tours and tour guides were knowledgeable and fun to spend our day with. The pool atmosphere was relaxing and refreshing. I cannot say enough about our private room and area with pool and hammock. Perfect for a couples retreat and Rosie and Shirley kept our room tidy and left us little love notes and towel creations. The whole experience was magical and tropical and breathtaking. I will be back!
Best couples vacation/covid honeymoon/one year anniversary!

After our original destination trip to Bora Bora was canceled multiple times we turned our eyes to the Caribbean. Serenity caught our eye immediately and while we were excited we never thought it would be as amazing as it has been. Staff make you feel like family. We were so well cared for and loved while here. We had an amazing time and it is truly all inclusive. Drinks were great and the staff had fun making all the non alcoholic beverages for my hubby as he doesn’t drink. Just a few names of the many for shout outs! Shirley and Rodney took care of our rooms. Butlers McCarthy Cornell, Quade, bartenders and waitstaff Delon, Merista, Christie L, Lee, Jakim, Chard, Jemma and Tyler. Sadie, Ray and Quaid helped make my birthday super special! My husband can’t stop talking about the massage he got from Gabina. She also gave a great mani pedi. This list is without a doubt missing several! The pool is beautiful. The beach was relaxing a breezy. The Greathouse was a great place to eat. We also headed over to both Calabash and Silk on the coconut bay side which were also phenomenal. There are truly nothing but positive things to say about this place. We will be coming back! Book now- you won’t be disappointed!
