Not bad for an old hotel. Service was good and they keep the property clean. Beautiful beach. Very clean. Food was average, but not bad. Our first night was a nightmare. Our room was falling apart, nothing worked, walls were dirty, toilet did not flush, bathtub was dirty and moldy. Asked for a different room in the morning and was told the hotel was fully booked. We offered to pay extra and all of a sudden they found a room available (???)... The new room was way better and the maid did an amazing job every day. I overheard a lady complaining about her room at the front desk so obviously this is a common issue at this hotel. Make sure

First time to Cuba, We arrived at the resort early afternoon & the rooms were not ready until 4, when the rooms were ready they did not have keys as their computer system was down. We got our keys later that night but they only worked a couple times, the staff were not helpful in getting us new ones so we resorted to using our patio door for the rest of the trip. The buffet is ok, nothing special we resorted to the pasta line at supper, omelettes in the morning. Make sure you bring your own ketchup. The snack bar hot dogs and fries were probably the best go to. The Tokyo house is a must try, amazing staff & even better food. We ended up going 3 nights in a row. Our room was definitely nothing special, our toilet would not stop running and staff were in the room mid day (i assume trying to fix the issue) and we came back to no running water at all and had to find the water shut off outside the room to turn it back on. Our towel rack fell off the shower wall & We had to leave a tip with a note to get a refill of toilet paper & fresh towels. Not the best service. Wifi is available in the lobby, entertainment tent & smaller pool and you have to get a 1 hour scratch card from the lobby that is 1.5 paso i believe, if you want to use snapchat download a VPN before you go or else some things wont work. Beautiful beach & sand at this resort, we walked down the beach to the sand bar and the other resorts beaches seemed to be dirty & rough. The staff at the beach bar are amazing. We spent most of our time at the beach and didn't really use the pool. The piano bar staff were good as well but not always the nicest & the servers take awhile or forget your order if you sit in the lobby area. When checking out the staff accused us of stealing a towel when they only gave us 1 and made us pay for the towel before we could check out.

My husband and I recently took a long needed vacation to Cayo Coco. I myself have never been on vacation so I had no idea what to expect. Well it honestly surpassed my expectations. We stayed in 5311, from our balcony we saw the beautiful ocean and from the front of our room we saw the pool and lobby. It was the most amazing views anyone could ask for. Our second day there we met a young man named Michel Hernandez he was with the entertainment crew. Which by the way make you feel like getting up to dance play games and have a all around good time. I’m not one to play games or dance, but Michel helped us feel absolutely comfortable and ended up becoming our good friend for the rest of the week. My husband even said if it weren’t for him we would not have had the best time that we did playing all the games on the beach and around the pool area. As for the food at the resort it was actually amazing, I’m one picky eater but hands down it was really really good. I had the best week ever at Hotel Playa Coco. Thank you so much to the amazing staff and entertainment group, but especially thank you to Michel Hernandez for making us feel at home and bringing out the youth in us again. Amazing time, if anyone stays here please look for our friend Michel you will find him at the beach bar or around the pool. He’s one of the nicest people we have ever met. See you next year Playa Coco Cheri and Steve

We had such a great time. We were 2 families, different age groups and we all had a blast. The animation was spectacular. Took care of my kids and played with my son. They promised they’d be there on the beach the next day to play soccer and held their promise. Like to thanks Alexis, Rico, Liennys and Arianna. We had a party one night in the lobby with them til 2am. Wonderful people. The Japanese restaurant was sooo delicious. And of course the beach, the best beach one can possibly see. All in all the service was excellent. The resort is not too big so you can go around without getting lost. If you don’t like crowded pools there’s an area wheee there’s no music so you can relax. But we enjoyed the crowd and the music.

    Wonderful week, beautiful beach

We had a great time at this resort. Staff was very nice and friendly. Entertainment team was top notch. We partied with them until the wee hours in the morning. They took care if our kids so well. Lots of cubans there in the summer, and since they don’t use the beach, we had the entire beach to ourselves, so that was a huge plus for us. Japanese restaurant was great. I recommend it.
