We own the Nanea but chose to save a few points and stay here. Are we expecting too much to think it's like the Sheraton or Hyatt? The Sheraton Kauai ( why we bought the timeshare bc it was so magnificent-highly recommend!!!) and the Maui Hyatt the service was perfection in every way. At the Westin, the service was less than acceptable. Every time we drove up in front of the valet they ignored us, no hello, nothing, just stood & talked to ea. other. The front desk staff were nice but nothing special like other hotels. The bartenders were nothing special, they were ok barely pleasant, we only went 1x because of this. The Sheraton Kauai, Jonah, best bartender ever!!!! ( Bartender Dale at the Kaanipali Beach Hotel tikii bar is great!) The waitress @ the onsight Italian restaurant was very good, the only staff member at the Westin that was exceptional. We now have reservations at the Nanea on Maui for January thinking the service might be better next door. But...here's the clincher. We need to reschedule due to travel restrictions and you can't call them!!!! They say there is too high of a call volume and to go online. Online does not allow changes to the reservation. I called the hotel directly and was told to email them! What kind of customer service is this!? The maintenance fees are $1000 a year! The only way buying this would make up for the money is if it were like a high-class hotel. So disappointed and feel so stupid that we bought it.

We stayed in the North building and had a great view. We squeezed in a family photo session with Blinnk Photography on site which made it so easy. Tiffany was very friendly and comfortable to work with. Highly recommend her.

    It was good.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite. It was a very nice room...full kitchen and beautiful bathroom. Very comfortable. Pool area was very nice with a short walk to a beautiful beach. Enjoyed our stay here.

We are owners and this resort is awesome. We have owned since 2007 and go back every year. The rooms are updated and remodeled every few years. Each room even studio has a kitchen. If stay chose a ocean view or partial ocean view higher floors.

The beach is beautiful. Would recommend buying an umbrella a Costco instead of renting one for $20 a day. We're paying over $3k for our room which is said to be "ocean view". It only has a better view of the highway than of the ocean. The ocean view is entirely block by tree canopy. Our deck is in direct sun unless blocked by a cloud so you can't comfortably enjoy using it. It's November and the sun is at a lower angle but it's still intense and not at all blocked by the deck above. The first morning here the manager at the front desk told me that we could not change rooms because there were no other ocean view rooms available. I went back a few hours later and tried to at least change to a room that had a deck that is shaded. The clerk told me that there are rooms available but it's their policy not to allow guests to change rooms. I don't appreciate having the manager lie to me and I'm not happy that we're paying for an ocean room and only getting an intimate view of a tree.
