During the cold months the pool is closed.. but our stay was very relaxing. room service is great, service all around the hotel is decent. Only thing is, Rio is not on the strip. So uber everywhere.. literally. You can walk, 15 minute walk, wear something comfortable, They should have a shuttle with all the tourist here. The view is a nice one, especially at night and early morning.

Valet Parking was quick and cordial. Property old but clean. Check was normal. Rooms are large. This is older property but all was clean. Beds average, pillows not so average. View was fine. Lines clean. WiFi weak. All and all it is OK. Average value. The one item that was above average were the Associates. Helpful and friendly

I had an issue with my room accommodations(strong smoking odor and super dated room) and when I went to complain about it, all I was told on two different occasions was that nothing could be done like move me or waive my resort fees at the least. Finally on the third try I spoke with someone willing to hear my concerns since I was at my final straw of smelling the smoke since I am super sensitive to the smoke and I also didn’t want to expose my family with the smell of the smoke too since I had bought gifts for them and was leaving it in the room. Unfortunately she was only able to waive the early check in and one night of resort fees, but at least I felt that she did what she could. I’m sorry I forgot her name but she definitely deserves credit for trying. I still believe that I shouldn’t have to pay the resort fees that I eventually ended up paying for because of this horrible experience but regardless, I can safely say that I will definitely never stay at Rio ever again. I’ve stayed at the other Harrah’s properties with no problems like the one I experienced on this trip and I have no problem telling all my friends and family to stay away from the Rio if they cannot fix the small issues that I had. Please do a better job Harrah’s with the Rio property. Thank you!

I think the Rio is the best bang for the buck! The service is awesome, and the love the fact that it is off the strip! There is plenty of amenities at the resort if you don't want to leave the property. The rooms are very comfortable too!
