We had a wonderful few days at this Excellence property. We had advised them we would be traveling with a larger group prior to arrival and at check in. We were given a hard time to accommodate tables of 10, however once Sherri assisted us, she was beyond helpful in making sure that the future evenings our reservations were accommodated. The food was really great, but there were plenty of times basic ingredients for popular drinks (limes, mint,) were run out of for a day or two at a time. The rooms were beautiful and spacious. Housekeeping did a great job and we were always happy with our room. The hibatchi was fun and the French restaurant was delicious. But to be honest, all of the food was impressive. Only complaint is that I wish they worked to accommodate larger group requests easier (room placement, etc.) the resort wasn’t near even 50% capacity, so it shouldnt have been a problem.

One year old resort set on beautiful grounds with great beach. All staff excellent, service too. Great selection of food and drinks, champagne always available. Our junior suite was oceanfront, so nicely set up with large balcony and hot tub. Very relaxing, water sports were awesome: kayak, hobie cats and more. Special thank you to lifeguards who helped me find my lost bracelet. Entertainment was fun, Motown and Michael Jackson show especially! Would come back!! Danielle and Aimée D.

At the airport now from a 9 night stay for our 6th wedding anniversary. It was wondeful! The resort is beautiful and it is a spa like, tranquil atmosphere. The staff makes it though, starting with Conroy and Sean that made us feel like family as soon as we got off the bus. Bernice at the front desk was awesome and upgraded our room to a private pool for free, and it was spectacular! We stayed in 3005. She also made sure some personal touches for our anniversary and a special request of ours was handled and we were even able to check in early. All staff, no matter where we went or what their job was, was very friendly and hospitable, always saying hi, asking how we were, if we were ok and if there was anything they could do for us.Cyash walks around upbeat and dancing each day, what a pleasure. I wish I could remember everyones name, our concierge, the restaurant staff, housekeeping, room service, etc....all great! The food was great and plenty to choose from. All service at all restaurants and the coffee bar was top notch. Remember you are on Island time, sit back, relax and enjoy! I would also highly recommend the couples massage at the spa, it was outstanding! We were glad our travel agent recommended this resort, we really needed this get away! We choose a cabana a little further down the beach each day, we like to be a little secluded. But plenty of quiet if you want, or some action and activities if that is what you prefer. There was always plenty of lounge chairs on the beach and by the pool. I was surprised how much room there really is there and we really liked that. The night entertainment was nice, too, though we didnt always make it up for it lol The entertainment is on the bottom floor of building 1 outside , so we could hear it in our room but it wasnt too bad and is only from 7:30-8pm to 10-10:30pm (then there is a club dj at the sports bar until after midnight, we never made it to that lol). This was a fantastic trip! We really love Jamaica and their people :)

Fantastic week spent at Excellance Oyster Bay, Jamaica however there are a few things people should know. The resort itself is spectacular, beach and pool are fantastic. Calm and crystal clear water with sting Ray's, dolphins and nurse sharks seen in their natural habitat. Excellance clubs on both ends of the resort were fantastic with premium liquor and quiet areas to get away. The resort was at half capacity with certain restaurants only open every other day. Strick dress code for men only, nothing sleeveless allowed anywhere including morning breakfast or lunch at the buffet. I felt it was kind of ridiculous given women were permitted access wearing less without issue. Collared shirts, long pants and toed shoes for men at most restaurants. There is NO evening buffet. Service was hit or miss, we spent our week at the excellance club and it was good. There were times when my wife and I were the only two people there and if we didnt seek out drinks we would never have been served but shout to Sabrina, Bryan Dwayne at the Excellance Club near the Villas, Karishna st the Grill and Romario. Excellance Club is worth the extra cost. We have been to Jamaica numerous times and my biggest complaint with Oyster Bay is that there is NO Jamaica at this resort. The resort did not offer any Jamaican culture at all, there was no Jamaican cuisine or shows that showcased the County in which they have built their resort. My best advice while here, take the time to speak to the staff, they are truly beautiful people who love Jamaica. Truly sad to leave but if anyone from Oyster Bay actually reads this, bring a little Jamaica onto your property!!!!!!

    Good but bad experience

My wife and I stayed here for 7 nights and everything was absolutely amazing from the food to the room to the service etc however we had a bad experience when checking out from the resort. The hotel staff tried to charge us for a couples dinner on the beach which we were unable to do due to the poor weather one of the evenings.. anyway, I told the lady that we cancelled this due to the weather and they asked us if we wanted to reschedule (the same evening after it rained) but we said no because we were unsure of the weather and to top it off the initial dinner was laid out with my wife’s name spelt incorrectly! We didn’t complain because we were very satisfied with everything else at the resort. After disputing for almost half an hour another lady came and deducted the $215 bill for the dinner off our final check out bill and while this was all happening they were aware that my transfer was waiting outside all this time. (Sometimes they try everything they can to charge you for everything possible and make you look stupid) Apart from that. The resort was amazing and the bar staff were very respectful and made us feel at home. I would have given a 5 star review but due to the incident on the last day while checking out it has caused me to leave just a 3 star review.
