Best entertainment ever

Gibbo D on Apr 13, 2024

Our Grace Kennedy sales team spent our annual celebratory retreat at Hilton, Rose Hall and I have to say resoundingly that we’re definitely going back. The resorts offering is just phenomenal. We dined in style and were entertained by their wonderful entertainment team. I had to personally thank the entertainment manager (Shelly ) for the well choreographed set. This started with a whole vibe at the pool & slide area and ended on the white Sandy beach where we had dinner and listened to all the sweet treats that was in store for us. I totally recommend this hotel and their entertainment team, that are truely on top of things and I give them a five star rating.

One Love, Peace and Serenity

KimC5335 (Hartford, Connecticut) on Apr 13, 2024

Great experience this past week. A friend and I stayed 5 nights with an ocean view and we were extremely happy. We came to simply relax with no worries and got our wish granted. The restaurants on site were varied and tasty. The buffet always had Jamaican flavor for me and my picky eater friend was always able to find something to satisfy. We rented a beach cabana and the wonderful Shawnte was our waitress who took care of everything for us. The drinks flowed and the sun did her thing. It was a short walk to the lazy river where the water was refreshing and fun. All of the staff we encountered were lovely. Definitely had favorites - Shawnte and Omari. So fun and kind. Be sure to bring water shoes for the ocean. But if you have none, no worries - the gift shop has them for $20.

Lovely Time

Sarah W (Louisville, Kentucky) on Apr 12, 2024

I will just say we had a wonderful time at the resort and also visiting the Negril 7 mile beach . You have many food options and i would wait until you get here to sort out your reservations and do them 1 day in advance . The water park and pool works for everyone not just ages below 12 yrs . I had teens and ages under 10 and everyone had a great time . The airport was busy and we are glad to use the Club Mobay service to get us out of the airport . You will need your own airport transportation we used Tcjtours you can find them online and book everything with them its private and they are excellent service that took us also to Negril for the day . The location is rosehall for the airport and they text you and keep you up to date . The only things that the resort would need is a little renovations to the rooms would love if the music was more Jamaican played all day . Outside of this the resort was looking clean and smelling clean . All the people i met were friendly staff was excellent . We had 2 other issues with room changes and the were done. Bring cash for tips its not mandatory but they need it . bring lots of 1s 2s 5s 10s and 20s . Yeti cups with your own straws is a must . Do an excursion see the Island and its beauty

Girls trip 40th birthdays 2024

Jasmine S on Apr 09, 2024

My friends and I had the best girls trip. The staff was great! Everyone is very nice and treats you like family. I would definitely recommend this resort for families. The views are amazing! Oshane was a great host and kept us entertained through the evening activities and adult nights. Aston was a very attentive server to us making sure we had what we needed at Mangoes and out lounging. The rooms are basic but we only needed it for sleeping. No shuttle to airport. That would have been nice.

Pretty good, but could use some improvements to make it better

Property: Hilton Rose Hall is a nice property. It's on the beach, its well maintained/clean. It's kind of what you expect from a beach front, all inclusive property. Nothing exceptional, but still nice. Check in: Sharlotte helped us out, she was nice. They provided drinks and a cold towel. The room wasn't ready, so they watched our bags and we took advantage of the pools, food and drinks while we waited. We had to guess when our room was ready, because they didn't text, or email us. We also asked for two queen beds, but only got a king bed with a small pull out couch. Sharlotte made things right by providing a roll away bed free of charge. Staff: Not as friendly as I remembered from the last time I was in Jamaica. The only time I really saw that fun, energetic spirit was when the staff greeted each other. There were a few exceptions, like Nathan, who was very attentive and nice, but most others didn't do much to make us feel welcomed. Activities: The night time activities were actually quite good. From the magician, to the silent DJ and steel drums, each night had something entertaining. The day time activities seemed to be lacking, especially for kids. They had some sort of daily trivia at the pool, but nothing too special. In Cancun, they had inflatable slides and obstacle courses for families, along with daily competitions that made it fun for everyone. This resort didn't really have those. They do have a small sail boat that you can take out, and, or have a staff member take you out. This was very nice. They only had 1 paddle board and 2 kayaks, which were always reserved. Food: A good variety, nothing exceptional, but if you looked hard enough, you could find pretty decent food. I liked that they had local cuisine at the buffet each night, so we could try new food. The reservation restaurants were average at best. The Chair Game: Be ready to wake up early to get chairs. I didn't think this was a thing until I woke up at 530am to experience it first hand, but it's true. Nearly every chair with an umbrella, or a palm tree (for shade) was already taken. I saw staff members neatly laying out towels on the best chairs for guests as early as 5 am, so my only conclusion to this is that staff members are being paid extra to reserve these chairs, and, or the resort has some sort of butler service that I didn't know about that guests were taking advantage of. I'm a Hilton Honors member, so not sure why if that is true, that I didn't get the option to pay extra and not have to wake up so early to get chairs. Either way, it makes it nearly impossible to get good seats around the pools/beach. Dunns River Falls: We booked this excursion through Hilton Rose Hall, and had a blast! The hike up the falls was actually kind of challenging and some what thrilling. We all had fun and it gave us a little glimpse into life in Jamaica outside of the resort. I would recommend booking this excursion. Overall: I wouldn't go back to this resort. Too many other options to choose from. As mentioned, we've been to Jamaica and experienced staff who made us feel welcomed, who actually looked like they enjoyed working at the resort and went above and beyond to help guests have a great time. This resort doesn't have that vibe. If you're looking for a good resort (not exceptional) close to the airport (15-20 minutes away) with decent food and drinks, then this is the place.
