Arrived at the hotel a little earlier then check in time and was greeted at reception by the IHG members check in, they had noted my request for early check in and were able to offer a room straight away, the check in agent was very helpful and gave all the information needed about the hotel. The room had a view towards the hudson on a high floor and was a good size by New York standard, the decor of the rooms is a little more traditional and will probably need a freshen up soon to keep competitive. Room had a large tv, coffee maker and storage space enough for a long weekend trip. Bathroom had a shower above the tub. The hotel itself offers facilities you would expect from a full service hotel including a gym in partnership with the New York Sports Clubs (was huge) and use of the pool (hours are a little restricted if you are out sightseeing all day). The dining options of the coffee shop and bar both offered good service and quality a price expected for a crowne plaza. All members off staff we encountered over out stay were helpful and friendly. Check out was very smooth and quick

Everything was lovely from start to finish for our stay here. It's not often you see photos from a hotel advertisement that actually match the room you booked. Our stay at Crowne Plaza was just that! Evelyn at the front desk could not have been more helpful, especially since we needed to add an extra day. Highly recommend room 3301 for the BEST CITY VIEWS! Overlooks Times Square with a wall of windows, but noise isn't too much of an issue. Comfortable beds and fresh linens daily that were top quality. Location can't be beat for theatre lovers like ourselves. There were no hidden fees like we've experienced at similar hotels down the street during checkout. Excellent stay all around. Five stars!

Nice rooms great location very good breakfast good bar and lounge if you choose to stay in midtown around times square, no better choice than crown plaza. for 250$ per night, it's the best you will find. 2 times we tried other hotels, that didn't compare to this. Nice staff. hotel is normally fully booked so don't expect any special attention or upgrades.

Since we were only staying in NYC for one night and my sons are older, we decided to stay in Times Square. We typically stay at the Marquis but it was very pricey for the date that I had in mind. I called ahead to make sure we get a roll away and that you could have one in a room with double beds. I was checked in by an unfriendly front desk employee who informed that I could only get a roll away in a room with a one bed. I explained to her that a person from the hotel told me otherwise. She was not apologetic and then proceeded to charge me for the roll away! We came in late and ordered room service - all of which must’ve been sitting under a lamp. Typically, I would’ve chosen to eat out but we were exhausted. The quality was poor. Lastly, we valet parked our car for which they charge a premium - I expected the charge and have no complaint for the charge they quoted me. That was fine. Parking is for 24 hours. (However, in my past experience hotels will let you stay a little over the exact 24 hour period- The Marquis for example. They charge less and they allow for some wiggle room about departure.) When we were finished with our sight seeing, I called the number on the card for our car. They instructed me to call when I was ready for the car. The number was out of service. I called repeatedly from my own phone and from my son’s. Eventually, I went down to valet where they charged me another $30 for being late . Thirty minutes - all of which was spent trying to contact them. I explained this to the cashier and he said too bad. Pay for your car or we won’t get it. I’m sure the hotel will say the valet is separate from them. However, when you partner with another business you have the responsibility of ensuring that they provide good service on your behalf. Overall, I was unhappy with my stay and feel this hotel nickels and dimes you. Did I mention that the shampoo and conditioner was the smallest bottles that I’ve ever seen? Crowne Plaza, do better.

The location of this hotel is right in Times Square so great if you need to be in the thick of things. The rooms are very dated and in need of modernisation. Breakfast was lovely but quite expensive without vouchers. There is a $6 fee to receive a package which is not great to be honest. My husband had a small accident when we were there and the staff were amazing by organising a taxi to take us to the ER and advising which hospital to go to. They phoned the next day to check that all was ok. The room was dusty and I think that the servicing of the room during the stay was the bear minimal to be honest. The bathroom had mould growing round the sealant
