We booked one nights stay here while we were visiting the Universal Theme Parks. We arrived at 7 am and were faced with a very long check-in lineup. The line moved quickly though and we were given our room card/express passes within about 20 minutes of arriving. We went to the parks and came back in the late afternoon when our room was ready. The room had clumps of hair on the floor, the shower was dirty and the hair dryer was clogged with hair. We didn't complain as our daughter needed to nap and the beds seemed clean. After her nap we wanted to go in the pool which was closed due to lightning in the area. There were no lifeguards around to advise if/when it might reopen. The concierge tried calling them but they could not reach anyone. It hadn't rained in over an hour and the radar showed no lightning in the area. We weren't the only ones looking to use the pool and confused as to why the lifeguards had disappeared. We went to the parks and all rides (including water rides) were operating. Upon returning from the parks the kids wanted to play in the arcade at the hotel. The arcade requires you to purchase a card that has credits on it. Unfortunately the card did not work. We went to the concierge desk and were told there was nothing they could do as an outside 3rd party operates the arcade. The hotel is beautiful and located very close to the parks but they really need to improve their service. Next time we will pay a bit more and stay at the Hard Rock which is closer to the parks.

A first stay on property , in short my wife and i loved this hotel. The service and hotel were fantastic. The lady who checked us in (Jenna) was amazing, very funny and professional , its nice check in to go so smoothly after a 9 hour flight. We were given our room keys and express passes ( a major factor in us deciding to stay here) and a map of the hotel. Jenna wished us a happy Anniversary and we went of to our room. During our first night we had an Anniversary card placed under our door from Jenna and the front desk team thank you so much !! The Room we had was a perfect size for the two of us , it had two big beds and many, many USB charger points. The beds were extremely comfy and the shower was also of a good standard. We had a slight view of the theme parks and could see hulk and rip ride rockit from our window !! our room service was provided by Tamiqua / Tamika (sorry for the spelling) she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and even gave us extra coffee and tea when we didnt need our room making up. The islands Dining room hosts the breakfast, we both thought it was a little pricey but it had a good supply of gluten free bits and pieces which is handy for my wife as she has celiac disease. Pool has a great bar in which you can either sit at the bar or have table service . We sat at a table and were really looked after by Bobbi , always checking on us to make sure we were ok . Really good at keeping beer and cocktails topped up , Fantastic !! On our last day we hired a cabana, (thank you Danielle for helping us) we really recommend doing this. Its really good value, you get a nice place to sun bathe , a lot of soft drinks for the fridge and some money off of your bar bill too. All in all a great stay , looking forward to returning soon

This was our fourth time staying at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando, and, as is always the case, we feel transported to the islands from the second we pull into the parking lot. There were some welcome changes since our last visit in 2017. Notably, the renovated rooms and the beautiful new showers. We discovered the value of staying on Universal property our first stay here, including the relaxing boat ride to the parks and City Walk, the easy and efficient transport to Volcano Bay (which we visited for the first time on this trip and thoroughly enjoyed) and the complimentary Universal Express Pass. With respect to the last item, another welcome change on this visit was finding that the old photo booths used to create your passes (which quickly became soggy after one wet ride) had been replaced with a store where you can purchase an assortment of quick snacks/meals/beverages and refill our water bottles free of charge. The stay was not without a few negatives however, most notably the fact that there ceased being any hot water in the sink for two days, though the shower thankfully was fine. Also, did not appreciate finding an empty pizza box and other garbage that was not ours placed directly in front of our door one morning, but will assume that was done by another inconsiderate guest and not the hotel. Overall, we love the theme, location, benefits and rooms of this place and hope to make it back one day in the future.

We choose this hotel as it included the line fast passes. The room was ok, motel style bathroom with sink outside the toilet and bath/shower area. There was hair on the bathroom floor and it was not mine! Very off putting. Also q tips on the hallway carpet and the next day room service trolley from dinner left there. What I really did not like was the windows could not open, no room in the hotel can you open the windows and there was sort of an odd stale smell so I wanted to change the air. Breakfast buffet very low end looking, but lovely service and good coffee.
