The Fairmont Gold team went above and beyond our entire trip. We've traveled to this property many times before and this was one of our best trips ever. The trees and flowers were also all in bloom and the colours were spectacular. We are are already planning another trip back for 2019!

My husband and I come here for 5 days every May. It is something we look forward to every year! The spa is amazing and every service my husband and I received was amazing! Our favorite thing to do is go up to the roof top pool and just relax. Alex and Jamie took such good care of us! Cannot say enough good thing about them!! They really do take service to the next level. The food at the hotel is amazing and you really don’t need to leave the resort. Such a great place, we will be back again next May!

In early October, we had to cut our trip to Portugal short, for two days of meetings at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. Though we had attended many events there, and dined at some of the restaurants on-property, we had never stayed at this resort/hotel before, so were looking forward to exploring it fully, even though the addition of meetings there, cost us precious vacation time. We arrived for check-in, and started at the main lobby. We quickly learned that as Fairmont Gold members, and also due to the bookings by the corporation, we had to check in across the property, at the Gold Members’ Desk. We were given driving instructions, and set off to an area of the resort, that we had never seen before. The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is a rather large, and sprawling property, but we found our way to the parking area, near the Gold Member’s Desk, though did end up walking around a bit, to find the entrance. We were assigned Room 6206, in a small complex not far from the Gold Lounge/Member’s Desk, and had our luggage moved in, and stored. The walk from the parking lot to Room 6206 is not far, but there were some uneven surfaces, so wheeling our suitcase, and hang-up bag was a bit tricky. I learned where to park in the lot, to minimize the walk, and find flat, even surfaces. Like all of the property, the complex (about 8 rooms, by my count) is done in an Adobe style, both inside and out. Room 6206 is a suite, with the livingroom and dining room separated from the bedroom by a partial partition, which featured a large-screen TV on both sides. The bedroom featured a very comfortable King bed, and the bathroom and closet were just to the side. The bedroom had two nightstands, on either side of the bed. The bathroom featured a nice walk-in shower, and a large soaking tub, plus dual sinks in a large vanity. The WC was separate. There was a full set of Rose 31 bath amenities. Off of the bathroom was a spacious closet with a horizontal safe, shelving, an iron & ironing board, and a clothes steamer – nice touch! We had two luxurious bathrobes, slippers and a valet kit with clothes brush, shoe horn, and shoe polishing cloth, as well, plus the hallway to the closet had additional storage in a free-standing unit, plus a full-length mirror. We also had a small patio with limited seating. There was a Nespresso coffee maker, with fully stocked coffee caddy. One nice touch in the bedroom was a stand for one’s jacket, with a tray for watch and jewelry. There was an “Alexa” personal concierge, but we did not use it. We had adequate AC outlets and a few USB ports for charging devices, but we could have used a few more. While we had WiFi, I used my MiFi hotspot, so cannot comment on the speed. This suite was very spacious, and well appointed with Southwest art. Our suite was very quiet, and comfortable for the entire stay. With our clothes hung up, my wife left for a dinner meeting, and I headed to dine on-property solo (a common theme on this trip unfortunately) at La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant by Richard Sandoval. During our stay, I took advantage of the Well & Being Spa, and also dined at Ironwood American Kitchen, Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina, the Fairmont Gold Lounge (breakfast one day) and Toro Latin Restaurant & Rum Bar, overlooking the TPC Scottsdale Golf Course, on the edge of the property. All dining was very good, though I missed the Marquis, which had one of the best breakfast buffets on Sundays, that I have ever encountered, and we are not “buffet people.” However, even great things can change, and my dining experiences on this stay made up for the loss of that restaurant. We did not use the pools (3 in just the main pool area, with several more scattered about), but it was lovely, with a bar and light dining options. The grounds were beautiful, with water features, ponds and streams everywhere. I could see the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess as a true “destination resort,” and wish that we had had more time, to fully enjoy the amenities. One could spend an entire day, just exploring the cactus plantings, around the gorgeous grounds. Due to the size of the property, there were several golf carts and then a van, to ferry guests around. During our stay, I used each of those services, and found the drivers to be very friendly, and the services efficient. While I did not get to experience them, my wife mentioned that the meeting rooms were great, as was the service, and then the catering for all of the meetings with dining. Sounded like a great place for a business retreat, and she, and her organization were pleased. All of the staff, from the Fairmont Gold Lounge, to the resort’s front desk, to the spa and restaurant staff were very cordial, and welcoming. Housekeeping was very good, and accommodating to our rather fractured schedules. Though these meetings had brought us back from Portugal three days early, this was an excellent “stay-cation,” and we almost hated to leave Scottsdale for our home in Phoenix – except that we had been “on the road” for two weeks, and only had a couple of days to prepare for meetings in Las Vegas and Chicago, and then to San Francisco (at the Fairmont Nob Hill), London and Denver. The Fairmont Scottsdale will be very high on my list for non-working stay-cations in the future. Just a lovely, and welcoming property.

Went to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess for a few days of relaxation to get away from it all. The entire resort is gorgeous, the weather exceptional. We’ve never been to a resort where the staff was this friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. All the staff at the main pool made sure we were well taken care off. Special thanks to Tristan for just being an honest kind person We will be back with friends and family

We were upgraded at checkin to the Casita Jr Suites they were far from the lobby but it was really quiet. The room was really nice with a fireplace and a large bathroom. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in before. The property is huge and very family friendly. The staff is attentive, friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast on the weekends is outstanding. Would gladly stay here again.
