We are owners with the TAFER Group and this is the first time we have had an opportunity to stay at Garza Blanca. We were not disappointed. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a 3 bedroom panorama suite. The views were stunning, the rooms were nicely appointed and I love having a hot tub on the balcony. It was a perfect opportunity to watch the evening lightening. Rosa our housekeeper was amazing and so patient with the crazy schedules we kept. Carlos Ramos and Jose Valenzo were wonderful in coordinating everything we wanted to do and checking in with us several times a day. Alvaro and Moises took excellent care of us daily by pool. Esteban in Boca Dos Stk was wonderful and we loved attending the wine tasting with him. Abrahim at Hiroshi’s was a wonderful server and very attentive. Yvonne and Valeri at the spa made it so we never wanted to leave! The check in and check out process and safety precautions due to COVID were exemplary. I can’t wait to bring more family back!

Rock the hammock at the oceanfront suites

My spouse and I stayed 4 nights and being the rainy season we anticipated possible extra time in our room, so we chose the extra space of the larger oceanfront suite. I would definitely make that choice again just for the wonderfully large terrace with table, lounge chairs, and the super comfy high quality woven hammock! Watching the sunset over the beach from our hammock was serene. The room decor was pleasant. The staff did a good job of getting in to clean while you were out and not disturbing you while you were in. If you are not in the oceanfront buildings it’s a hike or a 5 minute trolley ride up the mini mountain to get to the other buildings. Views are nice, but in reality you are just further from the beach. The beach was swimmable with good water temp, but not much to see from snorkeling viewpoint (bad visibility) despite being a stones throw from the popular snorkel destination Los Arcos. Service around the resort was so-so. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. The concierge tries to push timeshare visits, but was not overbearing when we made it clear we had no interest. The trolley drivers were great, very polite and helpful. They even drove a group of people about 20 feet from one pickup point to the steak restaurant just across the street. We thought it was due to the rain, but the group just didn’t know it was so close and sheepishly apologized to all when they were let off. Restaurant choices were limited, especially since they did NOT have the Italian place open, which took eating options from 4 restaurants down to 3, only one of which is open for 3 meals, the other 2 only for dinner. The adults only Moussai options only allow you to eat tapas at the bar after 8pm if you are not staying there even if you are an adult. I don’t think they were equally restricted from the main Garza restaurants. Room service matched the poolside menu and seemed to mainly be munchies and nothing extraordinary, so I wouldn’t count it as a dining option. Free daily activities like kayak, hike, and yoga were nice offerings but not always a desirable optioning rainy season. The spa has a nice ambience with good aromatherapy and music choice, excellent service, and gratis use of the hydrotherapy options prior to your service. The negatives for me that resulted in only 3 stars might not be bothersome to others: A) the cigar smoking that regularly occurred around the pool (one guy even sat with his feet in the pool on the phone with a cigar hanging out of his mouth) and on the beach B) pot smokers on the beach below the infinity pool and again on one of the terraces of the Moussai building wafting up to the Hiroshi dinner patio. Not the hotels fault but it kind of killed the atmosphere. C) many staff not wearing their masks despite covid rules. The concierge, restaurant and spa were consistent, but the cleaners or maintenance walking around doing stuff often wore “chin straps” or only pulled it up briefly when you were near (too late). I’ve seen it handled much better at other hotels in recent months. I’d not be opposed to staying here again, but I would re-check alternatives before doing so.

We have been to this resort many times and have enjoyed it but they just attempted to scam us and they will scam you. Beware this is a criminal organization that will take your money. Do not go there at any time. Oscar a low level salesperson with the resort offered for us to come and he would cover the flights and give us a great rate. When we called to book he lied because he is a low level scammer at the resort and told us the flights were not included. I have experienced theft here as well. It is a very dangerous place that you should avoid at all costs. We have been scammed for the last time and we will not consider going back until Oscar is fired. You cannot hire criminals and scammers and expect us to come back.

We stayed here a few summers ago and had the best time. From the beautiful setting in the remote nature to the friendly staff to delicious food & drinks - we loved our stay! We also did almost all of the activities around the resort and recommend the complimentary kayaking trip, incredible! So much so that we are coming back for our honeymoon. Wee booked directly with Yesenia from Garza Blanca who was very helpful and found us better deals than we could find online. We are so excited! Thanks Yesenia!

We got married in August and had plans to go to Kauai. Due to COVID regulations, we had to have a last minute change and settled on Garza Blanca Resort. Let me tell you, the website DOES NOT DO THIS PLACE JUSTICE! I travel a lot, and this was the absolute best place I have ever stayed. Our resort concierge called us before our arrival to help us arrange transportation, which we purchased with GB (highly recommend). Most of the resorts in PV are tall buildings situated on the beach, and that's it. Garza Blanca though, is a tropical paradise. The second we arrived we were blown away! You are welcomed happily by the concierge, and welcomed into a GORGEOUS preserve. Not only does this resort have a main building on the ocean, but they also have 11 acres of private land which you can access by private complimentary trolley or by walking over the bridge. Every inch of the resort is in pristine condition. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite and were NOT disappointed!!!! Our room was huge, the hot tub on our patio was clean, looked brand new and was such a fun treat in the evenings. Housekeeping came twice a day, and the room service was spectacular. GB does a wonderful job of providing a peaceful and relaxing vacation. The restaurants, especially the steakhouse Bocados are amazing. The cobblestone streets throughout the preserve make you feel like you travel back in time. The food is AMAZING. Bartenders are phenomenal. I had some health problems while on the trip, and the resort medical doctor saw me immediately, and was able to arrange for a prescription to be delivered to me at the resort so we did not have to leave. We cant say enough!!! If we ever go back to Mexico we are definitely going to PV just so we can stay with Garza Blanca. We miss it so much!!!!! Another P.S... One of Puerto Vallarta's bigger attractions is Los Arcos. We had a perfect view of them from our suite. Like literally, it's RIGHT THERE. We took the Garza Blanca kayak tour (free) one morning and our guide Cesar was awesome. We kayaked out to Los Arcos and went snorkeling. We saw some sting rays and lots of fish. We met a few couples who also participated in the morning yoga and loved it! We could rave on and on about this place. It definitely deserves 10 stars!
