The resort is right on the beach, and has a beautiful pool. The food and beverages are decent, but what sets this resort apart is the spectacular staff at the pool and the beach. They work hard to make sure that the guests are happy. In particular, Israel down at the beach is very kind, thoughtful, and prepared to go above and beyond what is expected. We had a great time, and can't wait to go back!

Excellent and friendly service from Francisca and team at the Grill. Could not have asked for a more beautiful atmosphere for dinner. We definitely be coming back to this restaurant and resort in the future.

This is my second year coming to puerto Vallarta and we decided to go and try this hotel this year and I was very disappointed! The food wasn’t very good everything was very over cooked, we didn’t have any hot water in our room for 5 days and each time we called they said they would send someone up but no one had came to figure out the problem, we asked to switch rooms and they just told us they couldn’t do that. I will never go back to this resort and I will not be recommending it to anyone. It’s a beautiful resort but with how the resort looks outside you would think the rooms would be great but they are not.

    Worst, ever!

Booked trip thru CheapCaribbean.com which was first mistake. This is supposedly touted as a 4- star resort... hmmm, it COULD be that w/a lot of work but alas it’s only a 2.5 at best. My husband & I travel to Mx 2-3 x a year always at All Inclusives in and around Puerto Vallarta. This by far has been the worst as we’ve had better stays at 3 star resorts! Let me begin: upon check in: no drink, no wet cloth as advertised. 30 min in line to ck in. Noticed Mexican Nationals had priority ( hold this thought for later). Told TA and front desk it’s husbands 60 bday. Asked ‘Omar’ if we could upgrade from Tropical Deluxe View to ? Told we could for $70/nite. Told Omar we just want a quiet room and is ours, which he said was ‘very quiet’. Once we were given keys, Omar immediately went to next customer. We had no idea where elevator was and ended up asking ‘Ed’ who turned out to be per his quote ‘our personal concierge’. He said elevators were ‘over there’ ( pointing to God knows where) and said to take the stairs. We pointed out we had luggage ( no bell hop, no offer to help us). We eventually found our room that had construction outside of its door! We called front desk and were repeatedly given a story of either a) someone will be right there or b) they’re on their way in 3 minutes. After 1 hour of playing this game I called our TA which was of very little help. We eventually were moved to a somewhat nicer room. No birthday wish, nothing! Two days later I tried speaking g w/Mgr but was told had to write my complaint and it would be reviewed and then possibly a Mgr would meet me. After filling out form, Head Concierge met w/me stating there were notes stating birthday, BUT since we switched rooms, staff had no idea where our room was! (We checked in at 3:00, switched rooms at 5:40 and Concierge said bday items were delivered at 6 to old room) To sum it up: too many locals which receive all the attention; at swim up bar, they serveMexican Nationals first, no matter how long you’ve been waiting in formal line as same at check-in. Kids and toddlers at swim up bar. Risotto Rest closed so that leaves the buffet, TheGrill and some Japanese pseudo rest that serves Rice-A-Roni. Kids in hot tubs, kids in adult pool, kids at adult sky Lounge. If you’re a National, it’s good, but people w/US dollars are dogs. Metal chairs on our terrace had no cushions and when I inquired to get some was told ‘club members only’. No mattress pad on bed and blood and other stains noted.

Disappointing. Barely average for the price

We stayed 2 years ago just down the road at the Samba Vallarta, and it was less expensive and better than this resort. This place was disappointing on all counts. Food was only fair, and the weightlifting side of the gym is just old school weight plates. No modern lifting machines to be seen. The Samba gym was better, and their resort is cheaper. Reflect advertises several restaurants on site, but the Asian one was closed for part of our 4 night stay, and the Italian one proved to be only available to “members”. We had something advertised as “rib steak” at the Grill and it looked like fried golf balls (see photo). The next night we had “sweet and sour chicken” at the Asian restaurant and it did not seem either sweet or sour. Checkout is at noon, and at 10 to 12 as we tried to get with luggage from the second floor of one of the side buildings to the front desk, two elevators were full of staff with their giant laundry bins. Really the best time to jam up elevators there whoever is management?
