Stayed at the San Marino for 2 weeks in January. CONS Unfortunately we paid for all inclusive, food is horrible. Ate out all the time. It’s a old hotel. Slow elevators The room is very dated. Patio doors don’t close or even lock. Hard bed. Good thing other guest brought foam 15 inch tv. Basically the whole place needs paint. Bathroom is small. No tub. Single shower ( leaks) No toiletries. Frosted shower door for a bathroom door Poor air conditioning in the room. Could never get the room to cool down Hard beach chairs. Plastic The hotel need a face lift. Entrance door had a huge crack down the middle of the door. The glass on the patio door is ready to fall out. DONT STAY There. Lots of choices around , Very few plugs ins. Had to unplug lamp to plug in chargers. PROS Great staff Close to the beach Location Overall I would t recommend to stay here. There are lots of other hotels

Dishonest tried to keep my money without giving me a room. Possibly racist.

Don’t book here, they do not honor their reservations. I booked a room online. The front desk refused to allow me to check in. He accused me of lying and said I didn’t really have a reservation. Refused to look the reservation I had opened for his inspection. Refused to assist by helping me contact the place I booked. Tried to keep my money and refused to allow me to check in. Very rudely threw me out. He told me check in was closed. I complained to the place a booked and I was forced to make a 30 minute international call to get it fixed. The online booking agent got multiple different stories about why I wasn’t allowed to check in. When people give multiple stories, they are lying. Perhaps it was racially motivated, but I’m not sure why this person refused to honor a reservation.

This place is old and has been criminally neglected. An A+ location doesn't overcome it's shortcomings. Besides the obvious maintenance issues (50s era tile, mold, single pane windows), the owners/management clearly don't care about the guest experience. For $100/night, here's what you DON'T get: Balcony Refrigerator Coffee maker King or queen bed Blackout curtains Ice bucket Bath mat or wash cloth. Instead, you may get: 2 double beds Single pane window facing a walkway Loud pop music blaring all day Walkway lighting illuminating your room all night through flimsy curtains Trust the other reviewers, this place really is that bad.

We stayed at the San Marino from Dec 31-Jan 7-2020- NEVER EVER WOULD I RECOMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE!!!!! We had a group of 12 and every one of our rooms was absolutely disgusting and dirty and smelly! In total we paid over $13,000.00 to stay in this dump! I was so mad when I checked in and saw what my family would be spending the week in. I told the guy at the front desk that I wanted a new room (he wanted to charge me an extra $50 american a night-I said no way and he said $30, I told him at this point he'd better just give me a better room) so we had to wait until the following day to get an 'upgraded' room right next door to the one we were in.

We knew that this was a cheaper hotel, and honestly we did not much. Staff were friendly. We did not Get all inclusive because we knew there were great food options all around. I am glad we didn’t... looked like standard buffet everyday. Our room was the basic with a king size bed. It was clean, but really old. Bed was hard, pillows were lumpy, curtains weee stained. Patio door barely opens or closed. The worst part was the grungy old bathroom. We put towels down to cover the bathroom floor. The rest of hotel was okay. They are renovating in stages. The pool area needs some attention... needs new tile and more umbrellas. Need to clean out planters, some used as ashtrays. If you are on a tight budget, it’s okay. If you can afford a bit more, go somewhere else.
