Enrique, Frank and Romero provided us with excellent service. Add to that a mouth watering menu selection of rib eye steaks, baby back ribs, and burgers ... it’s an unforgettable combo. Thank you Hard Rock Toro

What an amazing time we had at the Hard Rock resort! Before we left I was on this website daily looking to see what people had to say about their stays and looked for tips on what to expect and what to do, so it is my turn to return the favor. The resort is about 50 minutes from the air port but first you have to get past all of the sales guys before you get to transportation! After that it is an easy ride to the resort and upon arrival the bell men will take your bags and you are ready to head inside for check in. They will ask you to have masks on and have your temperature checked before you go in the doors (they ask for masks in common areas like lobby, heading into dinner and at shows) and after you walk in the doors they are looking to get you something to drink while you complete check in. We had booked a deluxe room which would have been very tight for our family of 4 so I asked about upgrades (since they are at most 30% full) and they had several options so I upgraded to a 2 bed room Terrace suite Room 9304 and 9306 (views are amazing from our room which you can see attached). The upgrade prices were reasonable as we reserved our trip at a stupid low rate in the first place. Right after check in just stop at the reservations desk and book your three nights of dinners (can only book three nights in advance) so that is done (painless process and standard at these kinds of resorts). Beware they will try and set you up with a time share breakfast at this point (I just said no and that was the end of it) and they will try one last time when you check out and again just so no and head out the door. Meals – We had dinner at Frida (Mexican), The Market (international), Zen (Asian), Ciao (Italian) and Toro (Steak House) Each of these places had great options and dinners were great. Breakfast was at the Market or Ipanema (less people go here plus you can sit outside and watch the ocean as you eat!) Lunch was at the pool or The Market and this is one of the draw backs to the Covid stuff as they no longer have the buffets which means each lunch was over an hour as you had to be seated, order, wait on food and eat instead of walk in grab a couple things and run. Waiters are a little difficult to understand at times with their masks on as many are soft spoken which makes it difficult ( a product of the environment no knock on them at all) Café in the Lobby – They have pastries, deli subs, ice cream and coffee here (nothing to get too pumped up about) Beach – Yes it is more of a lagoon set up but that is exactly what they tell you from minute one on the webpage so I don’t understand the people getting on here blasting the resort for that. I personally like that for my young daughters as we could let them go out and play on their own more and not have to worry about being pulled out in the water. There is sand, fish are in there, and it is salt water so the only thing missing is the waves so no real loss there. I know people talked highly about bali beds ($50) but there are so many open chairs and the waiters come around fast with drinks I am not sure how worth it they are. Kids experience – The kids bop center was closed which really sucks but they did try and keep them engaged near the splash pad area and smaller kid area. They had dance competitions, craft activities and guessing games all week long and my girls loved that each day. Water Park – The water park was fun and just like most of the resort not crowded at all. There is a food truck in there which you can get food and a few dinks options are there but no alcohol (they do not let you carry alcohol in here in the hotel cups either). Woodward – With our room upgrade we had woodward and wrektrangle for free all week which was great from my oldest daughter (7). Woodward has an open bike park with ramps and things to do tricks on with scooters, skate boards or bikes. It also has a track with ramps to ride on, a vert ramp into a roam pit and a trampoline area. The Wrektrangle (ninja warrior course) was great for both my daughters (7 and 5) and the guys working it were great as they did have to help the younger kids out a bit but in all they were amazing out there. If you didn’t have these included in your room I think it was like $17 for an all day pass to the wrektangle and $60??? For woodward. Don’t buy ahead on the webpage is my point. Evening Shows – Nothing to write home about here as they are resort shows and the younger kids will love them. The Mexican dinner was very good but again a long meal Pools – The pools are great and a lot of them…. The one has ziplining and a slide which was cool. The one big thing about the pools was people either bought tumblers at the resort or brought their own (I suggest you bring some) and the wait staff would fill those with your drink which means you got a lot more to drink each time and less waiting. Excursions – My wife and daughter left the resort and did a ziplining, rappelling, snorkeling and caving swimming trip which they loved every minute of (same one we did when we down here on our honeymoon) and it was very cheap ($42 total for the two of them). Go try this and may other great options Entertainment – I saved the best for last here as the entertainment crew is AMAZING!!! Let me say that again they are AMAZING! They keep things going out at the pool all day long and in other areas of the resort. The very first day my daughter wanted to do the rock climbing wall (4-5pm by the way) and that is where we met Bacon for the first time. Bacon and Jeffery helper here out getting going the first time and then started to time her as she was getting more comfortable going up it (Samuri and Baby Shark was out there one day as well and was great with the kids). From there on out the rest of the week Bacon would see us walking around and stop to chat with us and see how things were going and tell us about other cool things going on at the resort for us to check out. During karaoke he was the mix master while Baby Shark was running MC (fun times that night as liquid courage got many people up there) My daughter loved him and as you can see had to get a picture taken with him our last day. When you guys are there find Bacon and say whats up as he is the DUDE! The ladies were great as well Gabby, Lucy, and April We have been to several other all-inclusive resorts and there are a few on our list we would not recommend; however this was a great trip and I would highly recommend this one for families That is my long winded review and I hope it helps others out Trey

Took two 18 year boys for graduation gift. Although not everything open we still had an awesome time. All of the service was outstanding. Jessica, our butler, did an awesome job. We felt safer on this resort with COVID still an issue then we do in the USA. They took every precaution. We cannot wait to go back when we can see the Heaven side open. The quality of service from Jessica and the rest of the staff is truly what makes a great vacation.
