Spent 2 wks,property and rooms were lovely, clean and relatively updated. Staff were friendly,helpful. Food disappointing. Breakfast buffet was always good but the other meals of the day we found hit or miss. Enjoyed a la carte meals except at Mexican ! The beach literally steps away. There's alot of seaweed but do their best to rack away with a tractor several times a day. Lots of sheltered areas ,both beach and poolside. Loungers seemed quite low which for someone with knee issues, getting in and out of is difficult. Also not a quality to provide much support. Mixed drinks we found way too sweet with very little alcohol and beer always served warm. Rooms have hand steamers instead of clothes iron. Only difficulty with use was the fact that there were no hooks or hangers to hang your items to steam. Beautiful weather, amazing excursions so enjoyed vacation overall.

The OCT is a great resort to go to. It's not a huge resort that can overwhelm you but just the right size. I stayed in the El Baso adults only but to shake things up and visited all the pools. The El Baso pool is very quiet and great for a leisurely swim or float. This pool has the best waiter, Ricardo will make sure you have what you need for the day. Unfortunately, the beach and ocean were loaded with seaweed, certainly not the resorts fault, so I didn't go in the ocean. Water was pretty warm, though. There are beach vendors selling some quaint stuff, and they are not in any way pushy, quite the opposite they're very nice people. As for the food, I found it to be ok, but I always found something I liked. The other person who deserves a huge shout-out is Jair in the Route 66 restaurant. Amazing service from him and a very enjoyable experience everything I visited ther. BTW, great food in there, too. They have the best late night snacks I've ever had. To sum up this vacation, I would definitely return to the OCT at a moments notice. Great people made my holiday completely enjoyable. Thank you all

It takes a special person to make you feel truly welcome and Poncho did that for us. El Beso all the way. Diego finally got us convinced we needed photos lol. We will be back as this resort is very clean and friendly. I miss the Gato houses but understand some people might not like them. Still nice to see the cats around the resort and look taken care of as well.

Our two boys (16 & 12) and my husband and I had the most amazing trip! So sad to be leaving today. The resort is beautiful, clean and the staff is perfection! We paid for privileged which was worth every penny. A few names we need to mention: Emmanuel in the privilege lounge as well as Freddy, Carlos, Suzan and Ricardo made our daily experience so much better with their assistance and always amazing kindness. Alberto our butler, I can't say enough about how much he assisted us daily and always checked on us to make sure we were having the best time. The food in all restaurants were above and beyond great (including the buffet/we mostly used the restaurants). My boys had so much fun doing daily activities and we had the most relaxing vacation soaking up the sun and beach. ?? ?? They also have a mayan dinner and show on the beach which was an amazing experience (extra cost) and worth it! Highly recommend this resort for those reasons. The shows and atmosphere were great! Thank you Ocean Coral and Turquesa for the memories ?? We hope to be back again.
