    Honeymoon that was really once in a lifetime

    It's cliché to say "I don't want to write this because I don't want to let out the secret," but I think Zoetry PLB is pretty well known. Simply said, it was remarkable. The food, the service, the resort, the people..... everything was amazing. We did the impressions suite with butler service and it made all the difference. Isaac and Victor truly went the distance to make us welcome, comfortable, and maximized our relaxation. I felt weird about having a butler, but realized it's more of a personal concierge than somebody who runs around doing errands for you. That being said those two would do anything to make sure you were having a great time. So helpful with recommendations, arranging our travel on excursions, getting us seated in dining and food. We really loved those two. The suite itself was absolutely insane. Large plunge pool, ocean view, sun terrace, outside shower, huge bathroom... First class everything. The pictures online are accurate, but for sure don't represent the real life experience of this amazing impressions suite. The food and service were first class. Dragons is definitely a dining experience you must have. The outside lunch grill was always a blast and the view of the beach was amazing while dining. Besides the amazing Victor and Isaac, the staff at the resort were so dang friendly and helpful. Special shout outs to the bellhops (especially Omar) and the amazing hostess Samantha. My favorite part of the trip was the private fishing excursion I took with my wife directly form the resorts private dock! This are is first class fishing right off the shore, so you have a chance at dorado, barracuda, kingfish, mackerel, and even marlins! We actually saw a giant marlin breaching the water, but no luck getting her on the hook. We did however catch a 20lb barracuda and a Spanish mackerel! They filleted the fish up for us and one of the chefs at Zoetry made us two different types of ceviche for lunch. Literally the most amazing dining experience and day of my life. We will be back. We loved every second. This place won't miss, especially if you go for impressions.

    From the initial greeting, to the service, the rooms, the perfect food, and not to mention the cranberry vodka's...... everything from this resort was exceptional. Must say that our greeter Omar, was the most helpful, informative, and respectful service I have ever received. Truly a great staff member, and I hope any visitor of Zoetry Paraiso de La Bonita, gets to witness Omar's service. Really, a one of a kind dude. Breakfast food was exceptional, any food you were craving, they will try their best to satisfy you. Their daily international event/dinner was amazing. While we stayed they had a Spanish Paella day, authentic Mexican food day, and a delicious Trattoria Italian dinner. Our pool Server Jorge Viveros was exceptional. Not one moment I was wondering and looking for my next drink. Never lost sight of our group and always made sure we were fully served. Will never forget my dear friend Jorge! Also a one of a kind dude! Hope to both Jorge and Omar in my next visit. If you are looking for a place to relax with your significant other, or your family, this is the best place in the Rivera Maya to stay. You won't be disappointed.

    We stayed one week at this property in 2016 and we were so impressed we truly wanted to return one day. I'm sure due to covid and cost cutting due to covid, there was definitely many amenities and services that no longer exist since 2016. To mention a few that have vanished, complimentary private transportation provided by Zoetry ( with sparkling wine) to and from the airport, complimentary Catamaran sunset sail , personal in your room check in, a personal concierge for each guest and many items which included attention to detail to serve the guest. All understandable, I guess. Rated this property exceptional primarily due to the exemplary , caring service provided by the vast majority of the Zoetry staff. Yes the grounds are beautiful and immaculately clean , the rooms are outstanding, spacious, and all are ocean front , the food was very good to excellent everyday. The beach did have seaweed but was cleaned daily by staff and equipment and did not interfere with swimming in the sea. However, the real difference here is the Zoetry Employees and they all need to be commended for their caring service level through ongoing very difficult times. We wanted to commend several individuals who went above and beyond during our stay: Manuel in the Spa ( it was awesome to see Manual who served us in 2016) He is a gem ! One of a kind! Efrain our pool waiter Outstanding! Always there with food and beverages. Manuel our beach waiter Exceptional ! Edgar, Restaurant Manager - outstanding Mezcal and Tequila tasting! Oscar, Sommelier - excellent Tequila tasting, very educational. Rodrigo our favorite restaurant waiter , attentive and always accommodating. Luis Director of Food and Beverage , highly visible and ensuring all was perfect for all guests daily !! Mauricio and Omar Pena front desk , resolved all inquiries and any issues immediately ! Enrique Bell Captain - Outstanding personality and serving attitude everyday !! A real asset for Zoetry! Family !! Daniel , Wellness Coordinator what an outstanding human being, talked to us everyday and displayed a genuine concern for us daily. The employees steal the show here! Nicely done! Thank You

    Great, but not spectacular

    We spent 8 nights in Zoetry Paraiso and overall very much enjoyed our stay. Our trip was postponed twice in 2020 due to Covid and we finally made it out a year later. The staff are very good with face masks and sanitation. The guests generally did not have masks, although we put them on if we went indoors (rarely happened). We were told the hotel was near 100% capacity, but I am not sure that was the case -- looked more like 60% capacity. There is plenty of space between restaurant tables and it was never crowded at the pool, beach, or bar. With a constant breeze, we felt quite comfortable without a mask at the resort. We stayed in "Tulum" which is on the far north building, 3rd floor and we very much enjoyed that location. It was the closest spot to the Ocean. We were part of the UVC and asked for an upgrade upon arrival on Saturday and were offered a plunge pool spot on Monday if we wanted to move. But the upgrade was further from the Ocean and we had such spectacular views that we decide to stay in Tulum. The breakfast was the same at both restaurants and didn't change over the week. But, you can ask for something off the menu like Huevos Rancheros and they will make it for you. The lunch menu was different for the 2 restaurants and beachside grill, but didn't change during the week. You can also order from pool/beach menu and they will bring it to you (very nice). Only 1 restaurant was open for lunch and dinner per day. The dinner menus changed and they sometimes had specials from stations in addition to or instead of the menu. Some meals were great, some pretty good, and none were bad. We loved the ceviche! The beach continuously accumulated the seaweed and they were constantly working to remove it. Both workers with rakes and a big tractor to scoop it up came by several times a day. It's a problem for all of Cancun. Otherwise, the sand is soft and there are not many rocks in the Ocean. It is a quiet resort (no loud music or activities) which we appreciated. Not a party scene. Pros: 1) The service is excellent and the highlight of the resort. It was quick and courteous and everyone is trying very hard to make you feel at home. 2) It was never crowed or loud and we always could find a spot at the pool or beach. 3) It is not a large resort, so everything is nearby and convenient. 4) The Covid test to reenter the US was scheduled automatically and quick to take (no line) and quick to get results (same day). 5) No one was trying to sell us stuff. 6) Check-in was quick and organized. 7) The rooms are spacious with good views and a large bathroom. 8) The beach is very close to the pool and rooms (all are Ocean View). 9) Drinks were good and always made from scratch. 10) There are no resorts north of this place and the building south of us seemed empty. Thus, you don't have a bunch of people walking through the beach area. Cons: 1) The resort is pretty, but not exceptional and is showing some age. Probably the least attractive entrance I have seen in the area. Not really any special landscaping that make you say "wow". The dock is dilapidated and broken -- not an attractive site. 2) A few minor issues with the room: A/C would not get the temp below 25C (77F). They offered to move us to look at the issue, but we decided to stay. With the fans on high, we were OK with the temp. Our door key stopped working twice and someone needed to come out and fix it (this was done quickly). The refrigerator was not that cold, but cool enough. They seem to have an issue with picking up used glasses which would accumulate in the room. None of these things were that big of a deal, but not quite a 5-star experience. 3) The pool is small with 3 circular sections about 4 feet deep x 25 feet across and ankle deep between them (walk way). There are no floaties for you to use. There is no swim-up bar, but the waiters constantly refresh your drinks. Still, it was not crowded. There is no shady spot in the pool either. 4) The scenery deteriorated if you walked along the beach beyond the resort -- we started to do a longer walk and turned around. We would consider returning and overall recommend Zoetry as a relaxing, uncrowded place to unwind.

    Absolutely Amazing!

    My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon at Zoetry Pariaso in Riviera Maya and we were simply amazed. The scenery: breathtaking. The grounds: impeccable. The food: delicious. The staff: helpful, friendly, above and beyond. This resort has everything you will need to relax and enjoy your time in southern Mexico. There is beautiful artwork everywhere you look, and surprisingly almost no people! The staff indicated that they were fully booked, but you would never know it because everything is so tranquil and serene, even on a Saturday afternoon! We stayed in a suite with a private heated pool on the balcony, wow. The suite was so luxurious. We had a butler service, and Isaac/Victor were phenomenal. They were kind, friendly, and helpful. My wife and I used the gym frequently during our stay, and we inquired about energy drinks (which the Resort did not have) and the next morning Isaac had brought us some HE purchased and brought to the resort. There was also a time when we forgot our key to the room, and Victor was there to open our door within minutes, and even sent a funny "running" GIF to our WhatApp conversation. This resort has not spared any expense on providing their guests with the ultimate in luxury and relaxation. From the front desk, to the butler service, to the Spa, to the poolside Hippo Bar, the food, the people, the entire experience was absolutely amazing! It will be hard to travel to other destinations and not compare our phenomenal experience we had at Zoetry Pariaso. We cannot wait to return!!
