We spent a week in this hotel. Second time. Excellent resort, great beach, clear crystal sea, no waves, no sea weeds. Food was amazing, tasty, lots of selections. Room was great (deluxe), view from the room and from the buffet - breathtaking! Service was great - Jose, Wandy, Dileni, Antonia, all service people, reception, all staff in this hotel were so good and nice, I am so thankful to all of them. Beach towels - no problem - any time. Room was cleaned, fresh bath towels daily - good size and very clean. It is a great relaxing resort for couples or singles, who want some quiet time and do not need disco or so. Thanks, Bahia! We got a great week! Hope to be back next year.

Back home for a week and we always relive those wonderful times spent in your hotel. This was our 3rd time at the Luxury Bahia Principe Samana and we are as happy with  this trip as the last ones. We have so much to say that we do not know where to start. The place is beautiful and peaceful : an intimate luxury hotel. The most important is the staff that goes beyond guests'expectations. A special mention to the entertainment team who made our holiday a so great moment : Yamilka (Black Barbie), Jacobo (we prefer Amanda Darling), Saviel, Daniel, Rolando. You are  amazing entertainers and very good dancers with whom I am lucky to learn !!  I also thank Nell, my fitness coach, a lot and don't forget Freddy for Tai-chi lessons. I am afraid to forget some ones : Yurvania, Wendy, Rafaela, Antonia, Meilin, Eliu, Eriginia, Dileni, Leticia, Tibisay, Samuel, Félix, José in the restaurants. José, Kenny, Joarlin, Wilfredo, our bartenders. Mercedes and the Spa team. Yeison, Roberto, Franklin at the reception desk Wandy, Yerfy, our butlers, and Raymundo, the bellboy. I will end with Leonardo Astacio, subgerente, we know since a long time in Bahia group and are always happy to find back. Thanks a lot to all of you !! For sure we will come back next year. We highly recommend the Luxury Samana ?

My husband and I traveled to Grand Bahia Principe La Samana in June for 6 days. This was in the midst of some bad press the resort and island have been having. We had nothing short of an AMAZING time. We are from the US and therefore had to fly into Santo Domingo and take a transfer 2.5 hours to the resort. We were hesitant it would be worth the commute, but it absolutely was! We booked directly through Grand Bahia, and since we are members we had free transfers, which was seamless. Our driver even stopped at a local smokehouse for some amazing ribs on the way to the resort. The drive was beautiful, our driver was very safe, and it was worth the drive in my opinion. We were immediately greeted with a welcome drink, warm towels and our Butler. Shout out to Franklin at the front desk for showing us around the resort and just being a breath of fresh air each day! We had an ocean front junior suite, so we were in building F, the newer building, room 2107. The view was spectacular and the room was fine. We did partake in the pillow service, as well as requested aromatherapy each night, which included turn down service, a nice touch! We thoroughly enjoyed the beach! It was much larger than pictures make it look. The water was beautiful, and only seaweed after some storms that would pass through over night. We never had a problem getting a chair under an umbrella, but it was a very slow time and there was not many people at the resort. The beach bar was open everyday and the bartender would walk around and bring drinks. There was always people cleaning the beach and only once was someone selling fresh conk on the beach, but never bothered anyone. Much different experience than in Punta Cana where vendors would approach us every day all day. This was a private, quiet, relaxing beach!! The pool was also nice, but we typically stayed at the beach. All the activities and entertainment took place around the pool, which was great. The nightly entertainment was wonderful! The circus is not to be missed!!! Shoutout to Daniel, who was always engaging and loved to talk to all of the guests. The entertainment team does a wonderful job getting guests engaged! The food was the best at any all inclusive we have been to. The buffet for breakfast was amazing, fresh omelet and fruit every morning. The views from the buffet seating area are also spectacular, and very quiet!! The servers are also all wonderful!! We booked our ala carte diner reservations when we arrived and we only were able to experience two in our 6 days since they were only open every other night. We did the Rodizio and Don Pablo. Rodizo was great, on par with other Rodizio restaurants in the states. Don’t miss the grilled pineapple. Don Pablo was wonderful. It was a more formal experience, but the food and service was fantastic. Highly recommened checking it out. The bars are great, always open and the bartenders are wonderful. We often sat on the terrace in the evenings and always had servers taking our drink orders and serving drinks. Also during all nightly entertainment. They also have a large television on the terrace which they turned the NBA game on during a finals game. I did use the fitness center daily, which was by far the best I have ever been to and I travel and stay in hotels often. Free weights, cardio equipment but also a CrossFit room with TRX, medicine balls, kettlebells, etc.. Special shoutout to Nerfri who runs the gym, as he was extremely personable, well versed in fitness and great at engaging everyone in activities. There really isn’t any space at the resort to run, so the fitness center was key. Clean and well maintained. We LOVED our stay. We have stayed in Punta Cana before, and I much prefer Samaná. It was beautiful and felt much safer. The resort is super quiet and relaxed, but if you’re looking for a relaxing stay, this it the resort for you. The staff truly get to know the guests, they always say hello, try to engage with you, always looking to be helpful and even teach you some Spanish. Highly recommend and we will be back!! Excellente!!

This was our second stay here, and it was just as amazing as the first. The hotel chain has had some bad press lately, but not at this location. This one is basically a perfect place to relax, and everyone else we spoke to was also having a great time. Beautiful location, and really good service. Good food for an all inclusive. I have not gotten sick from the food here. I did the last two resorts I went in Mexico. One day the pool had algae in it, but we just swam in the beach. No big deal.

This is our second visit to Luxury BahiaPrincipe, and I am convinced that they have set the bar very high when it comes to service. I have never experienced warm and genuine services in any industry. The resort is a gem located in small town. This resort is in fact an R&R place, that exceeds my expectations with the attentive staff. If you want to go and experience a pueblo setting then I would recommend you arrange for a taxi service , and the driver can stay with you and take you to a town called “Las Terrenas “, there you can go shopping and eat at the many restaurants on the beach. But if you want to rest and relax there’s no need to leave the resort it is safe extremely attentive and they have many activities throughout the day and evening. All the restaurants with delicious food and drinks is right there at the resort.
