First of all, the beach is incredible. Lots of seating. We had an amazing time in the the kayaks and paddle boat. The food was excellent. Lots of variety, plentiful, well-prepared. Daily fresh made omelettes for breakfast, fresh fruit, delicious breads and donuts, fresh salad bar at every meal. The international stands out as a great meal my family loved the steak and the gazpacho was yummy. Our bungalow was about a 5-7 min enjoyable walk to the pool area. The room was clean and well-maintained. Fresh linens and towels were provided daily. My kids loved the basketball both in the pool and on the court. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will be back!!

However, my recent stay at Melia Sol Palmeras Varadero surpassed all expectations, creating unforgettable moments for me and my family as we celebrated my daughter's 15th birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. Throughout our stay, the staff at Melia Sol Palmeras Varadero went above and beyond to ensure that every moment was special. Special mention must be made of Osiris at Guest Services, whose dedication and professionalism made our stay truly exceptional. He took the time to ensure that every detail of my daughter's birthday celebration was perfect, from arranging a special cake to coordinating surprises throughout the day. The on-site animators kept us entertained with a variety of activities, ensuring that there was never a dull moment for the whole family.I cannot thank the staff, animators, and especially Osiris enough for making my daughter's 15th birthday celebration truly unforgettable. We will cherish the memories of our time at this beautiful resort forever and eagerly anticipate our next visit.

The beach was beautiful. Most of the staff was friendly, although we had poor service at the Italian restaurant (rude), the front lobby staff was not the friendliest. It was difficult to get bottled water as a family of five they would give us a 1.5 L bottle per day. I felt they could stock the fridges with water given they don’t stock anything else in the rooms. There were times we felt like we were chasing people to get bottled water on our kids had too much sun. There are new food shortages you could definitely get something to eat at the buffet, but it did get repetitive. the international restaurant was great and the Italian restaurant was disgusting, we had a group of 14 and the chicken Parmesan had no Parmesan sauce and cold peas corn and mushy cauliflower. People left to go eat at the buffet. The cleanliness of the room were not bad, but as other stated, the towels and sheets are stained the rooms are dated. One thing that I noticed was when the air-conditioning was on it smelled of moldy. we had to rooms in the older area. It seems that they were renovating some sections of the third floor. I also didn’t find the cleanliness standards great at the buffet. The chefs cooking meat would only use water to rinse their hands no soap, the tables were cleaned but the placemats were not very clean. I would recommend bringing snacks in case you can’t find food that you like. Although we had a great time with friends and family at the beach and hanging out, it was only because we were with them.

merci sol palmmeras. Alex the best, really fun and friendly and for the service. The rooms are clean nice place to stay for a trip in Cuba. Even if it is just to enjoy the weather or travel around the place. Finally thanks to all the people that helped throughout our trip.

If you’ve wondered about getting married in Cuba…. Do it at Sol Palmeras!! I cannot explain how thrilled our group was with Nivia García Osuna and her team. They started by helping us organize trips, cars and restaurants for our group of 35. Amazing! We wanted a modest, easy wedding and Nivia looked after all the details! The beautiful well organized beach ceremony was stunning. The “semi private” dinner was VERY private and we were fed with a fantastic menu. The venue for the dance was perfectly intimate and Nivia danced her ass off with us! Even private lessons and Latin line dancing. A private bar tender and dj even. She even had a magician doing a show for the kiddos. We had a specially selected room. flowers, beautiful champagne glasses and a tunes out newly wed room. The food over all was great and some of our more skeptical guests were quite impressed. It was the most perfect experience. Thank you Sol Palmeras Varadero Cuba staff! Unbelievable
