Attraction

In the Scot-founded city of Dunedin, north of St. Petersburg, both time and tide seem to stand still. More than a hundred boutiques, pubs and restaurants are a shell's throw from the water. Authentic kilts and tins of shortbread are showcased in storefront windows. The smell of the ocean, the sounding of boat horns down by the marina and the nearness of a pint of Celtic Gold Ale at the in-town brewery make a lovely, diverse combination of experiences.

Dunedin's name comes from the Gaelic Dùn Èideann, which means Edinburgh. Fortunately, all the street signs are in English, and the highway that runs through the area provides uninterrupted views of the coastline.
