Great holiday, we'll be back!

Firstly I just wanted to give a huge shout out to Marlene, Zully and Althena; the breakfast chef. They all enhanced our stay. The standard of rooms, breakfast, pool and services provided all great. Reception sometimes busy, main opportunity is Vanessa at the pool bar- she sticks out as not being very happy in her job, her days off the pool bar was much busier- it was a bit of a talk of the pool how miserable she is. Lovely location, lovely people round the pool, we will be back.
Fabulous experience on our first trip to Aruba!

In September of 2023 we booked a trip to Aruba for February 2024. We wanted to get the best deals by booking early. Through Expedia, we booked 7 nights at a small hotel near Eagle Beach. On January 2, we received a mail from Expedia saying the hotel had cancelled our reservation (not our fault) so with one month remaining, we had no place to stay. We are Bonvoy members so looked to Marriott for our stay. Thankfully, we were able to get a room at the Courtyard by Marriott. We arrived to a wonderful little oasis! The hotel is very well appointed, clean and the staff was absolutely amazing. Friendly, kind and helpful. There was a made-to-order/buffet breakfast every morning that was bountiful and delicious. The pool was never too crowded and we loved watching the poolside iguanas. The beach was a short walk away and they provided a shuttle. We had rented a car so we drove ourselves most of the time. The location couldn’t have been better; close to everything but its own little retreat. It’s two floors so not a high rise which was also nice. The hotel seemed to be pretty full but never felt crowded. The restaurant was very good and the prices weren’t outrageous. We are SO thankful the other hotel didn’t work out so we could stay at this Courtyard! We would happily stay here again!
Great

Loved it! Only thing I didn’t like was the bathroom door is see through! Love that it’s a quiet little hotel with great service and comfy beds! Clean! Great pool. Close to everything. Shuttle provided! Breakfast provided! By the best part of the beach!
Great location, clean, great staff, very good experience.

First time to Aruba. We had points, so stayed for points plus the resort fee (about $350 for the week). Pros: Breakfast and a free app or desert each day; happy hour from 12 - 1 and 5 -6 every day; swim up bar; nice fitness center (with dumbbells, one machine, a few kettle bells and treadmills, elliptical and bike); clean, very pleasant staff. great location, great pools. Our room was an upgraded king so very spacious. Loved the shower. Free parking. Cons SLOW check in! Seemed to always be lines waiting to check in. Free breakfast just so -so (ask for an omelet rather than relying on the precooked scrambled), same with apps. One thing I did like was that there was music at the swim up bar pool, but it was at a reasonable volume so that you could only hear as low background music in the other bigger pool. Meaning you could talk or in my case, listen to something with ear buds. This was a big plus for me, when so many places blare loud music everywhere.
An overall good experience

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facility itself, though, could use a refresh. For the price, I expected more (all the decent places in Aruba are $$$$). The pool, though, is very well-maintained and a pleasant spot to relax. The swim-up bar was fun. Please be aware that nothing happens quickly in Aruba, so check-in isn't fast. However, once we got to our room and found it had one bed instead of the two we requested, they got us moved promptly.
