We enjoyed our visit immensely. We especially liked the low-rise facilities (only two levels) and small, quaint and friendly atmosphere of the resort. We will go back for sure in the future. The food at both restaurants was so good, we gave up plans to try other restaurants off the resort. The island tour we took was very educational as well, although the snorkeling at Baby Beach was very disappointing.

Our first visit to Aruba, to a resort we have been wanting to visit for some time. We booked directly with the hotel who quoted various rates and suggested we advise them on arrival which we would like. We had decided on the all inclusive package based on the email quote. On arrival the figure quoted proved to be incorrect which caused confusion on both sides but we didn’t make too much fuss; simply copied the emails to them, they explained that there had been an error, and nothing further was said. C’est la vie . . . it didn’t spoil our time there, it just cost us more than we had bargained for. Aruba is hot and very windy; 30 degrees every day and about 27 degrees in the evening. Be prepared with sun cream and for your hair to be messed up as soon as you go outside!! We had rain (short but fairly heavy showers) on 2 days which apparently is unusual for this time of year but it did freshen things up. We had room 18, ground floor, end of block, with access straight out through patio doors virtually on to the beach. The room had new bed and furniture, and was lovely. The bathroom had not been refurbed but was fine with a wet room shower and everything worked well. Lots of hot water. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The air conditioning and fan also worked well, and both were very necessary! Although close to the beach bar, we were not disturbed by noise once inside the room. We ate in all the restaurants and apart from one or two premium dishes and drinks for which we needed to pay a small supplement, all food and drinks were included. All menus were very varied and the food really good. You simply have to try the sweet potato fries at lunch time at the Pega Pega bar, and the special breakfast smoothies. We had sushi for the first time and enjoyed it. All restaurants do some really unusual dishes, beautifully presented. Be prepared for the wildlife around the hotel; invasion by birds at breakfast, lizards and a couple of amorous iguanas who seem to have made the resort their home. Quite disconcerting when you first see them, but beautiful creatures in their way. The beach is as described by countless other reviewers; just beautiful, with miles of white sand to walk along for exercise. Plenty of room for everyone and it is great to see the locals enjoying the beach areas too. The hotel pool is small and situated centrally in the resort area with not too much room around it but, with such a huge beach to step on to, that’s not really a problem. In fact, the resort is probably the best situated of all the hotels for beach access. It is in the low rise hotels area of Aruba, much quieter than the high rise area further north where you will find all the bigger, better known hotel chains, and all the hustle and bustle associated with them. The local buses are worth using to get around north to south on this side of the island. US dollars 2.60 per ride per person, and handy to get into Oranjestad or up to the high rise area and the beach and lighthouse on the north tip of the island. They run very regularly, line 10 out of Oranjestad. The hotel can supply tickets if you ask. Be prepared; Aruba is very expensive, food and drink especially, but worth it for the sunshine and warmth to cheer you when you escape from the cold, wet winter weather in other parts of the world. Many thanks to all the staff who helped to make our stay a pleasure. A special hello to Bo. Good luck with your career! Try Manchebo, we’re sure you will enjoy it too.

Wow! What a beautiful resort! This is the best beach I have ever seen - white sand and Caribbean blue waters as far as you can see. This resort is absolutely wonderful! This resort caters to all your needs - sand, surf, fun, drinks, food! The staff is super friendly and they truly treat you like family. Manchebo beach is a private resort with a private beach.

My husband and I have been going to Manchebo for about 7 years. We like the small resort with a huge beach front. You will never have to fight for a spot in the sun. The staff are friendly and the bar tenders are the best. The same guests stay at the same time of year. It's almost like a family reunion. We felt safe and enjoyed our stay.
