Construction all over the place . Front office staff takes too long for check in process and too many formalities. Could use better toiletries. Dont like the idea of wearing a neon colored wrist band. Gates locked at night and have to wait for security to open the gates for hotel guests. Too much noise from a disco at late night.

    Better than expected

Before we came to Aruba we reserved the Mill hotel. We read some mixed reviews on beforehand and we were a little sceptical because of this. When we came the lobby wasnt finished, but it disn't bother us. Everything went smooth and two days after the lobby was fully functional. There was a a little work being done at the premesis, but it didn't bother us. On Hotels.com were we ordered the hotel it said that there was work going on and that the lobby, gym, tennis court etc. was under renovation so this was as expected. The hotel was half the price of the next hotel on the list so this was a extremely nice price and value for the money. I would add that the work is begining to get finished. The room was great and renovated, and here the only bad thing was the extremely noisy aircondition unit, it made some bad sounds regularely and was generaly loud. We tackled this by cooling down the room for then to turn it of when we went to sleep. Also the refrigerator did not refrigerate as it should. It couldnt cool down a bottle of water. The beds were nice! The pool area and pool bar were great, a big hello to Alba and Nelson for the great service here, you are the best, hello from the serbian couple?? We also had a fun time at the karaoke night, the host was the girl from the towel service and she dang along and generally during the stay was outgoing and nice. The towel service was also great, you got a card that you gave them, you could leave it with them during the whole stay and just change the towels every day, or give back the towels, take the towel card and come back the next day for new towels it's your choice. The beach site was great, you get chair and shade included in the room rate. Jose takes extremely good care of people, be sure to watch him feed the iguanas at noon every day?? the beach spot is the last from the hotel strip and is calmer and less crowded, but you are still near bars and restaurants. Great! Even with the noise from the A/C and the fridge the stay was extremely nice and over expectations and I will surely come back to this hotel the next time. We stayed here 9 days in september, room 216C

    Awesome Experience!

I went to aruba to celebrate my birthday. When we got to the room, I was surprised with a flower arrangement and candy on my bed for my bday, then a cake was delivered to my room. That was a great surprise. The room was new and nice, however we didnt have running water. They did leave a note and said it would back on by 5pm, so we decided to leave and get something to eat and return later. We returned around 6:30 and still no water. So we decided to just change rooms because we really wanted to freshen up. The water did come back on about an hour later, but we didn't want to take any chances. Now the staff was amazing. From Ketsia at the front desk who was extremely patient with the guests upset about the water, to Hainer who showed us a great time at club Gusto ?? and Sandy who kept us company at the pool. They made this trip special and I cant wait to return again!

I just came back from Aruba few days ago.We stayed at the Mill Resort.I read so many reviews before I decided to stay there.I made a good decision.Yes,it is still under construction but it did not bother us at all.I knew what to except. The stuff was great.Im pretty sure that they have hard time to work like this during the construction time. They still have a good attitude, their very helpful. Room:We got a new room in the back.I wish we could have one with a pool view, but I still like what we got.It was easy to get out of the resort at the back door,we did not have to go around.Clean, big size room with nice bath aria.Beds were comfy. Pool:amazing. We loved it.Good job as well!I loved the pool bar too.I wish the other bar by the pool would be ready too...but next time. Mini market:they got everything what we needed(water, soda etc). The girl who worked there was so pretty with a bad attitude.I can tell she does not like her job for sure.On list say hi to the costumers. Location:Lot’s of people complained about it.I really don’t understand why.I loved the location.Easy, quick walk to the beach. My other friends stayed at the Riu in the other side of the road. When we called each other,we got faster to the beach then them.It is not an ocean/see front Resort,so don’t expect to be on the beach in 1 minute. But it is still so close. The bus stop was right almost at the front of the resort. The bus stop was right at our back door location what we used to get to our room.We used the bus system a lot to get to other nice places as well. There are so many restaurants nearby....few minutes walk. Next door nightclub:It did not bother us at all.We did not hear it,but we were on the other side of the resort. Food and drinks:we liked it.Music was great too at the pool aria. I came with my best friend to have some fun.I’d like to and I will take my family back to Aruba.I would definitely stay at the Mill again. We both loved this place. Can’t wait how it will come out as a Courtyard Marriott.I hope the price won’t go up to much!I got a great deal with the Mill(I know becouse of the construction too), I’ve been in so many Carib-islands,but Aruba became my favorite from all of them.Clean, safe with breathtaking beaches.Peaople were so nice everywhere in this island. Thank you Mill Resort,we had a great time. That was a good choice. We will be back! Dunki

As of late August 2019, The Mill renovation is still in process. The entire lobby is being redone & parking lot resurfaced. This meant the entire front of the resort was a mess with limited parking. It appears that many of the rooms are still vacant & awaiting/undergoing renovation as well. We were a late arrival and had no choice of rooms, so were assigned one on the first floor facing the parking lot. A second floor room facing the pool would have been very nice. The renovated rooms are very nice, bright, clean, tile floors, huge walk-in shower, dual sink vanity, mini-fridge and microwave. The pool area is also outstanding - multiple pools, swim-up bar, hot tub, cabanas, lots of chairs & umbrellas. Pool area is beautifully illuminated at night. We had a car so didn't use the beach shuttle. Did walk to the beach once and it's not a short-straight path as appears on a map due to fenced-off areas. Service was all good, but room cleaning was often still in process when we returned from activities ~4pm.
