    Great Resort ( still place for improvement)

    Thia is a good place to spend your vacations but as said on subject there is lots of space for improvement. - Food: food is very good here, lots of choice, great quality. However, we spent Valentines Night here and nothing special was made, a regular dinner as a regular day, you can check pictures of Pullman Cayo Coco next door and you will see what a beautiful dinner was made for all guest and what a beautiful show. And at Melia Cayo Coco special dinner was made just for guests who paid extra to get dinner at the beach. I find that great for couples who like to pay extra for beautiful gala dinner, but the rest of the guests just got same buffet dinner as a regular day. - Pool and Beach: both amazing and ao beau2pool with well care taken of it. - Rooms: we got an awesome rooom with laguna view, highly recommend to get laguna views rooma, they are just amazing, trust me. - Wifi: On all other Melia Hotels you go (Including Cuba) being Melia Rewards Member you get minimin of 5 hours of internet connection for free daily per guest. And as I said at the begging your Melia Membership is not recognized here at all, you just get 5 hours of internet only if you pay for a Grand Suite as we did, I want to recognize that even tough we paid Grand Suite for 2 nights, hotelbkept us at the suite as courtesy. And if you go to any other Melia Resort you can book any room and you get your free internet hours which are 5 hours per guest per day which is good. Director of the hotel is such a great peraon, always making sure everything ia working in good standars, big applause to him. I really think he does a great job and thats because this hotel keep its goods rating above many others. But should keep special attention to Melia Rewards Member who are not getting any recognition for their loyalty. Big applause to Joel, he always made a table for us on the buffet, also prepares the best drinks at the beach, what a great man and awesome human being. The hotel must congratulate him for such sowcial attention with all guests Big thanks to Carmen and Claudia at the booking department, they helped a lot during my peocess of reservation, amazing girls. Staff is awesome, all of them are amazing. And also our maid who make our room 1521 on Bungalow 15 around the lagoon, she was so kind and kept our room very clean every day. If you ask me if I will return I'm gonna say yes if God allow me to, we are so happy with Melia Cayo Coco.

    All I can say, it was the BEST stay on the Atlantic coast =) Very good location, warm hospitality, excellent services - everything was wonderful! Hope to visit this place again =) Best wishes, Anastasia

    Our holiday was amazing! All the staff were amazing, but a special thanks to the following staff that stood out: Yunismy, Alden, Jesus (waiter), Jorge, Nayma, Anelbys, Yudmila, Tamara, Katia, Idolina, Yadmira, Louie, Carlos, Lester, Dayan, Deimye, Yarima, Dixan, Angel, Jesus (lifeguard).

    What a place! And the people!

    Had a wonderful time! The staff is beyond thoughtful and friendly. Just the best hotel in Cuba, period! We spent New Year’s eve there and the party was phenomenal. Thanks to Juan, Niurka, Gippsy, Yamil, Joel, Jorge and of course the band Sons del Rio!

    We arrived and the weather was cold and raining. Fine, that’s not their fault. Now we are told everything is closed including the restaurants except for the buffet for the next 4 days. So, no gym, no spa, no pool, no beach. There was limited entertainment. A lobby bar band at night, and we were eating 3 meals a day for 4 days straight in the buffet, which was. It that great. The snack bar was open if you felt like eating horrible unhealthy food. The only “entertainment” they were offering were paid excursions. By day 2 I was ready to go home. We checked the weather in Varadero and it was sunny all week, so we booked a room, got a driver, and headed to Varadero. We booked at their sister property Sol Palermo’s, which they did not give us any consideration for pricing. We needed up paying for two vacations ultimately. In the end it turned out to be an amazing time in Varadero taking in the surf and sun. Unfortunately, we had to go back to Melia Caya Coco for New Year’s Eve because we flew home in the morning, and it was pretty lame. Same buffet, with only minor changes (lobster and sushi), and same old entertainment.
