This was my second time to Cuba and my husband's first. Well, he loved it. Our room was beautiful with a raised tub with shower and a separate free standing shower. Our room was spotless and cleaned every day to our liking. The staff were amazing and were the hightlight of our trip, especially Mlisa our waitress up at the bar in the foyer area. The food was great, something for everyone and we did not go hungry and don't lisent to folks to say bring hot sauce, ketchup etc. The flavours were perfect. Pool and beach beautiful. Entertainment wonderful. If somone reviews this we'd love to send Mlisa and her boys some gifts, I thought when she gave me her information I had saved it in my phone but looked today and I must not have hit save :(. Overall a great vacation and we are bringing the whole family back next year. Great job to all. Thank you for a wonderful holiday. Merry Christmas to all from the Dorrington Family in Canada.

    Better each time!

This is our 11th review of this resort, so we’ll keep it brief. Exterior appearance of the resort: Breathtaking. Rooms: Large, comfortable, and clean. Beach: Exquisite. Food and beverages: Excellent. Music: Plentiful and high-quality. Service: Outstanding at check-in, checkout, and everything in between. Negatives: None worth mentioning. The fact that the octopus appetizer at the Gourmet was unavailable one night had no effect whatsoever on our vacation. Staff: The strongest attribute of all. Everyone that we dealt with was pleasant, friendly, and efficient. We’d like to give a special mention to those who are exceptional, and those who went far beyond the call to ensure that we were always happy. To start, the sunshine girls Claudia and Yenny. At the lobby bar, everyone and especially Yoisy, Nelson, Riggler, Ebert, and Pedro. In the Collection, barmen Abel, Alfredo, and Buddy, managers Eduardo and Kathery, and evening servers Leyanis and Jose. A special mention for Migrey, who performed all of these functions with cheerfulness and class. Restaurant servers: Ivaris and Daylin, HaJima, Ezequiel and Yenia, Yanetsky, and Massiel. We are fortunate to have a terrific group of entertainers as well. In particular, we’d like to mention Adrian, who is the best ever at what he does and Ahmed, who shows every sign that he will be just as good as he matures. Thank you all for the many things you do for us, and we’ll see you all again soon.

My husband and I traveled to Cuba with our 12-month-old in the second week of November. It was our fourth time in Cuba (having previously been to Holguin and Cayo Santa Maria) but first time in Cayo Coco and first time traveling with a baby. I was really starting to get worried based on some of the very negative reviews (the bulk of them oddly coming from one certain country) but I'm happy to report that my worries were unfounded. Check-in: The hotel is a very short bus ride from the airport, which is a huge plus when traveling with a little one. We took a morning flight with Air Transat and arrived at the hotel at noon. On our previous trips to Cuba we always arrived around this time and were able to go to our room immediately. However, at the Pullman check-in is not until 4pm! This meant our room wasn't ready - which was really frustrating when you have been on the road with a baby since 3am - so we were told to come back around 2. We came back around 1pm and the man who had checked us in told us there were still no rooms ready. My husband then inquired with another staff member who was able to find a room for us. So that was a little odd but we were just happy to have our room. Room: We had a corner oceanview room in block 32, on the second floor. The room was spacious enough and clean. Block 32 was a great location: close to the pools and beach and the Carey bar, buffet and snack bar. But this is not a big resort so the lobby and main buffet were a short walk away. The resort was generally very quiet - we could hear the music a bit around 9:30-10:00 pm from the Cabaret but our baby slept through. Baby crib: We brought our pack and play for the baby to sleep in. It was annoying to bring it but after seeing that the cribs are stored outside I'm really glad we went through the trouble. I understand that this is Cuba and that some things are different but storing cribs outdoors under the stairwells is hard to justify. Is there really no shed that could be found to store them? The cribs we saw were also quite shallow and didn't look suitable for older babies who can sit and stand. So parents traveling with older babies and/or younger toddlers should definitely being their own portable beds (unless you want to co-sleep). Food: This is definitely the best food we've had in Cuba! We ate at the buffet a lot. The main buffet is huge, everything was plentiful, no long waits at the omelet/pasta/meat stations, and no infestations that other reviews mentioned. Our à la carte reservations were slipped under our room door on the second day. As we were with a baby we were helpfully given the earliest (6pm) slots for the Italian, Japanese and Cuban restaurants. Unfortunately we were not able to go to the Japanese. The Italian restaurant was very good (we had the shrimp pasta and the chicken saltimbocca). The Cuban à la carte was just ok. As great as the buffet is, the snack bar food isn't good -- which is odd because it shares a kitchen with the Italian restaurant, which is good. We had better burgers and pizzas at the other resorts we stayed at. But the buffet and the Italian à la carte were definitely way above the standards of other hotels of the same star rating we went to in Cuba. Drink: The best (that is, strongest) coffee was from the pods in the room and the espressos from the bars. Even the other coffees (lattes etc.) at the lobby bar were watery. The mojitos are not good - way too sweet and taste like they're made with Sprite or something. Beach: The beach was lovely though there was a fair bit of seaweed and plastic debris in the water some days (but I don't think that's within the hotel's control). The main problem was that the other guests were quite rude in "saving" loungers the whole day. As we came to the beach mid-morning, we usually had to go to the far western end of the beach to find a shady spot. Special thank-you: I had packed some food for my baby in a little cooler in our checked luggage. But as I said, our room wasn't ready when we arrived and I was concerned about the food sitting out while we waited. The wonderful staff at the customer service desk helped us out in getting the items stored in the buffet restaurant fridge while we waited for our room. So a big thank-you to them! Maintenance: For some reason our bathroom didn't have COLD water! The bathtub water was ok but on most days the shower water was too hot to comfortably shower. We didn't have water in our room one evening but as we had already bathed the baby it wasn't a big deal. The beach walkways have missing railings which are a safety issue. The beach showers are also broken (we saw them being fixed on our last day). These are essential yet simple issues that should be easy to fix. TL;DR: Overall a very good resort with very good food and customer service. A few improvements would put it well and above most other Cuban resorts.

great week away as a couple. Resort is clean, a bit aged.. but our room was amazing ocean front room. we werie in 24106 best building as close to everythng and the beach right there Staff are very friendly and hardworkers. Wifi is good in lobby only one pesco per hour This is a family all ages resort, the kids that are there are very small like babies in fact. THey stayed by the pool most of the time. Food: bring your own maple syrup, ketchup and peanut butter , otherwise buffet was great french a la cart was nice lots of fish daily in buffet snack bar 24 hrs a day with burgers sandwhiches and pizza.. poor staff though only one person working .. takes too long Beach bar was great Wilbur the bartender did a cocktail show like Tom Cruise... friendly and great service Hermes at the swim up bar was amazing too THe entertainement was by far the best i have seen in cuba.. Live music in lobby. then outside, then a professional show each night.. was amazing The Pullman ran low on soda and tonic water and had no diet coke. Coffee at snack bar was soooo good beautiful beach.. and huts .. and chairs lot of options but i was eaten alive my sand fleas and mosquotos bring deep woods not just off layer the bug spray then sun screen then bug spray bring bendrly tips should be in pecos or us money easier to exchange for them There are always ppl who complain about cuba.. but if you can embrace the beauty of the beaches and bring some extra spices for your food!!!
