This was my first time at this hotel and was travelling with family. This was their third time. There are pros and cons however the pros outweigh the cons. CONS: the main buffet was closed for the majority of the time we were there due to renovations. Had to weight sometimes a half an hour for the golf cart to drive us to the other end of the hotel to go the other buffet that they opened up temporarily. That was a pain. The second bridge that takes you to the beach is broken so only one way of getting to the beach. The little tiny black bugs/flies will eat you alive. No amount of bug spray helps. I have no idea what they are but they are vicious and you don’t even see them. We had Japanese booked for Friday. We go there and it was closed. When I went to speak to public relations they were also closed. Therefore I never got to experience that. The Italian restaurant was awful. The staff was horrible, they didn’t have half of the food on the menu and the rest of the food they did have wasn’t good. If you’re going to have Italian at least have an option for pizza. The food wasn’t good at all. Not a lot of variety at least until Thursday when the main buffet actually opened. PROS: the beach is absolutely beautiful. I have never seen such crystal waters. It was absolutely amazing. The entertainment staff at the beach (not the ensenachos beach). LEO is the best..! Always ready to entertain and play volleyball. The bartenders, YANSEL & EDUARDO. I absolutely adore these guys. They will provide you with the best customer service and always have a smile on their face. I will miss them the most! My room was always clean and I always had fresh towels. Claudia at the reception is the sweetest out of all of the ladies working at reception. Always has a smile on her face and greets me every time. I would definitely return to the hotel but mostly because of the bartenders and entertainment staff.

We went to Cuba last month and stayed at hotel Iberostar Ensenacho in Santa_Maria. On arriving we were greated very cordially by the hotel staff at the reception. We met with such nice people like Roberto, Anisley, Yessy, mostly with Taimi, she really very adorable. We dined in the restaurant Punto Pirata, there, the services were excellent. We were served mostly by Yury,Daily, Osley and they are very professional and courteous. Beside the good services the hotel is located at a very beautiful sight. The beaches are peaceful and lovely, we liked very much. We recommend that you should go there to try and to enjoy thoroughly what this hotel offer to you! Last but not least, the nightly cultural programs were quite perfects, divertings, we liked them all! We think we will come back there very soon.

Please do not go. It has changed.

We went to this resort last week end of October, we only spend there 3 days because it was bad. Bad in food wise and walking distance bad. We had to wait 40 minutes just for spaghettis because there was only one cook standing warming them up with tomato sauce. There was barely any vegetable, no soup. Anyway if you are traveling with kids this hotel is not good because they will get constipated. Lots of people where complaining, but we couldn’t stand the walking distance, the lack of food. Service wasn’t good as well. The only thing great about this hotel is their beach. We where a group of 27 people and they put us all in villa 33. We had air conditioning issues and they new about it. Not sure why we where placed in those villas when half of the resort was empty. When we came in for lunch and there was barley any food 2 cooks where standing one for pasta and another one for rice and eggs. We knew we had to do something. We called our travel agent, she contacted Air Transat, and the next day we went to see the representative. She said she heard about our intentions and that we will get compensations but we said we want a relocation. They told us to chose a hotel. And by 3 PM we where switch to another hotel. We chose paradisious los Cayos . We had a wonderful time. Food was so delicious from the past hotel. Everyday they had two different soups on lunch and dinner so we where happy and our kids too. This hotel is only a year old so everything is still new smells good and wonderful. Beach is windy there, a bit of waves but past the waves we where able to swim.

Second time still a Dream vacation destination !!

It's our second time to the resort's. Santa Maria is one of the most beautiful place in Cuba. The Bus ride is worth it !!! The beaches are wonderful, the sand is white like powdered sugar and the sea water is cristal clear with turquoise color so vivid. At the resort there is two beaches, one with wonderful waves, activities to do if you like . The other beach it's about a 5 minutes walk or you could take the transporter from the lobby to beach. The beach is so calm, there aren't any wave, Actualy it's an ocean bay. You will see marine life , Birds etc. It's very nice place for those of you that like snorkeling. The resort is wonderful, the food is great too. The staff is eager to please you! The only downside is the bank of the resort. They have difficulty maintaining enough money to trade for Cuban pesos. So get there early at the beginning of your vacations so you will get it done and over with and you could enjoy your Vacation.

    One of the best

Beautiful place, in an unseen Cuba. Caro Santa Maria , Iberostar Ensenachos, Gran Village. Really unexpected for kindness of personnel, quality of resort, excellence and peculiarity of food. Because of my job I’m used to travel around the world and many times have already brought to my attention really nice places and resort but believe me, this, linked with a sea that compare to Maldives or Sardinian colors and quality of nature makes so this Ensenachois Gran Village, is probably one of the best seen in my long traveling life. It worth a try, and you’ll never leave disappointed. Well done.
