Check-in yesterday. Great hotel overall (infiniti pool, location) but we paid for a “PARTIAL ocean view room” that should not be described like that. We barely see a tiny part of the ocean from the left side of the balcony only. Staffs tried to help us but unfortunately they were no more “real ocean front room” available. Partial ocean view room description should not exist! Total deception for our wedding anniversary for the price that we paid...

    Awesome ocean views!

This hotel is huge! It has the best location on the beach in the middle of Waikiki. If the convenience of city living with the relaxation of the beach is for you, then this is the place. There’s a busy kid’s pool & a relaxing adult pool, both just off the beach. I didn’t eat a single meal here bc there’s so much around the hotel. Just walk & you’ll find something.

    Disappointing visit this time around

Have stayed at Sheraton waikiki a few times and have always been pretty impressed, unfortunately not this time. With current renovations happening we were disappointed to pay for a partial ocean view room but be put in a room with a view of a scaffolding. There was also renos being done around the pool area all day which was not great for a relaxing day around the pool. I understand renovations are necessary but some sort of warning when booking into such a highly regarded hotel wouldn't have hurt. I have also bought this to the attention of hotel management and they have ignored my email

Garrett W. Was absolutely fabulous, he made sure our stay was impeccable. We loved every moment we spent at this magnificent resort. Super clean, staff was super friendly and professional, the food was amazing, the pool breathtaking. We will definitely go back.

    Not worth the money

We stayed here for a family stay-cation in September. I definitely feel I would have received more value for my money elsewhere. First, on check in, we asked about upgrades (Marriott Gold), and were told the club floor was being renovated. The only "perk" offered for being Gold members was the option to wear an ugly yellow wristband instead of using a room key card. No, thank you. No breakfast, no drinks, parking full price and resort fee full price. The room itself was adequate--they had provided an extra cot, which was very appreciated so my preteen kids hate sharing a bed. Room was very clean, as was the hotel in general. Our room mostly overlooked the concrete roof of the building below us, but there was a bit of ocean visible to the person that sat on the right side of the small balcony. There are a large number of elevators, which should have made transport quick, but because the button is located in the center, and people are not paying attention, you would frequently be standing on a completely full elevator waiting for the doors to close when some inattentive tourist would wonder up and hit the "up" button again, causing the doors to open even though no space was available. There are two pools, only one of which is accessible to kids. The "infinity" pool is apparentlya huge draw for people, because it makes good instagram shots. Since my last visit, they seem to have removed some of the yellow floaties. On my previoius visit, the "infinite" view was marred by a solid line of yellow floaties; now they only take up 75% of the the oceanside edge. My husband and I stayed in it for about 30 minutes--during that time only one "floatie" opened up and was immediately taken by another couple. The kids pool is nice, but there are rough parts in a couple of places--I and one of my kids both cut our foot just walking in the pool. There is a small water slide--kids up to age 8 will probably think it's cool. They do allow kids in the hot tubs, which is great for the over 5 set, but just know that every time a toddler gets in, hot water relaxes them (yuck). Location (oceanside): the Sheraton is oceanside, but it cannot be considered "beachside". The beach has completely eroded away directly in front of the Sheraton, and from the walkway that connect the boardwalk in front of the Sheraton to the beach in front of the Outrigger Reef. They do share the beach in front of the Royal Hawaiian, but that is a small beach that is also eroding away. The beach for the Outrigger Reef is much larger, you have to access it by going out the streetside of the Sheraton--not too long of a walk, but not as convenient as just walking out of your hotel. Location (downtown): the location of the Sheraton in Waikiki is phenomenal. They are easily accessibly to the Royal Hawaiian, one of the oldest and most beautiful hotels in Waikiki. It is also close to the International Market and many restaurants. If your goal is to shop and eat in Waikiki, this is a great place for you. I did not use any of the resort activities. They do have a couple of shuffleboard and pool tables available, but they were all in use every time I walked by. There is a Lawson's convenience store in the lobby area, which was very convenient though frequently also super crowded. Honestly, I feel like this hotel has a lot of potential, but it does not provide an exceptional customer service experience for the money. It doesn't feel like a luxury resort for couples, it doesn't feel like a family friendly resort, and it literally has no beach. I feel like it gets by because it is technically beachside, and people really do like that infinity pool for photos. Better amenities both in and out of room are needed to make this hotel a standout.
