    Beautiful Resort

    The hotel is in a beautiful location in Maui and very easy to get to from the airport. A very relaxing place and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are big especially the bathroom. There are plenty of restaurants to choose for dining.

    Awesome hotel, staff was great location is amazing. Room was well maintained. I received excellent customer service as soon as I arrived to the hotel. First impressions are always made before even walking into a hotel and exceeded my expectations. Will be coming back for another visit.

    Prior to staying here, former guests raved about the "white heaven" (Kea Lani's translation). I truly wanted to love this resort. I really liked it, just didn't love it. The lobby is spacious, open-air, and tropical (typical of most Hawaiian upscale resorts). The suites are huge with large bathrooms. The 2 and 3 bedroom beachfront villas are great with private pools. The pool area is also nice. It even has a water slide. Unfortunately kids get bored with the one slide. Some adults too. All this sounds great but there is only one problem. I stayed at the Grand Wailea prior. Grand Wailea set the bar above the Kea Lani. I expected clean, white, crisp, somewhat modern style interiors. The only white thing was the exterior. I would recommend Kea Lani for the low key luxury guests. Nice hotel. Very nice. Just not heavenly.

    Who knew this would be our last trip before Covid-19 hit? It was a special trip and the Fairmont was a huge part of this. Every room is a suite and we loved our location with a partial Ocean view. A separate living area made 4am business calls easier to take while the lucky sleeper slumbered on. The bathroom is huge with a tub and separate shower. Our room had a huge balcony and we enjoyed it. We have stayed at the Four Seasons Wailea many times and were worried that the Fairmont might not be as special. Not the case. There are 2 pools and we never had an issue getting a place to sit. There is also beach seating. Service was solid. Not outstanding by the pool but they were busy and happy to be flagged down even if they did not check in often. We did rent a private cabana a few times and that is one thing we missed about the Four Seasons (every room is guaranteed a cabana free of charge). But the Fairmont is a click down price wise so it makes sense. Dinner at Ko was delightful as were two lunches. I would skip Nick's (read the reviews). It is not run by the Fairmont and you can see it in the service and overall experience. We can't wait to return to the special place that is the Faiirmont Kea Lani.

    We took our kids to Maui and stayed at the fairmont. We were hesitant since our honeymoon stay in 2015 was not as expected. The resort promised to make it right and they delivered on that promise. While this was a much different vacation than our honeymoon it was still so much fun. The activities for the kids were perfect not obnoxious and in your face but really engaging and fun. My son and I have Celiac disease and the resort was excellent at safely accommodating our needs and providing enough gluten free options that we didn’t fee deprived at all. The service was impeccable and the aloha spirit was everywhere. We hope to stay at Kea Lani again on our future visits to Maui!
