Location is great. Alot of activities taking place at night on the Fremont street. The hotel was busy but it was properly maintained. There are a couple of restaurants within the hotel itself and a Starbucks.

Stayed at Golden Nugget as usual, but this time I checked in at a little bit after 2:00PM & was greeted with the dreaded, never before used on me a firm "Early Check In" fee. $30.00 +$3.90 tax. Bad!!!

We stayed at the Golden Nugget for the Construction Expo. We stayed 3 nights. We were there while the coronavirus became a much bigger threat. The staff are amazing and make you feel very welcome. All the staff we met were friendly, professional, and helpful. The pool was only able to be open 1 day we were there. While I didn't get to enjoy this, I did walk around out there and it is beautiful. The buffet and restaurants onsite are good. Of course they are expensive, as everything is in Vegas. It was great being able to walk straight out to Freemont street. We have previously stayed on the main strip. We liked staying at the Golden Nugget better. We were in the gold tower. Our room had a king bed, little couch, and decent bathroom. We lost power in the bathroom our morning of departure. We called the front desk and someone was there to fix it in minutes. Other than that issue, the room was nice and just what we needed. The casino is nice also. I don't do much gambling though. All the bartenders were personable. I would suggest adding more bartenders to the main bar near the lobby. That bar was often backed up with only 1 or 2 bartenders. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

Disgusting blood stained sheets and fraudulent activity; don't stay here

My last stay at the Golden Nugget ( I have stayed many times) ensures that I will never stay again. I had several problems and to this day, they are trying to charge me resort fees that they promised were removed. So what went wrong? Building work The site at the time had building work going on creating a noisy and dusty environment. It is a legal requirement in a number of countries to notify that the work was ongoing. No notification was received. Rooms not cleaned The room that I had wasn't cleaned for two days. I had to call down to reception to request that the room be cleaned. Lifts in active The lifts (elevators) were in active, leaving long delays and long queues. It was not uncommon to wait in a queue over 100 deep. Blood on the sheets Yes per the pictures attached, when the rooms were finally cleaned the "new" sheets were blood stained. I have never seen something so disgusting. I was very clear from the pictures and not something that could have been missed. Due to the problems with my stay and the disgusting bedding provided, I complained at reception. The hotel immediately apologized and assured me that I would have all resort fees removed. At checkout, I was assured I had nothing to pay and all resort fees were taken care off. "You have a zero balance you have nothing to pay" I was assured as I handed in the keys. Imagine my surprise to receive a credit card bill with a charge from the Golden Nugget for a resort fee dated one day after I left the property. My card was effectively charged without my authority one day after I had left. I have escalated to the card company and continually get the same response. "It's the resort fee, if he wants his money back he needs to come direct" .... There are plenty of hotels in Las Vegas stay clear of this place. Not only did they provide appalling service but also fraudulently charged my card.

Expect to pay frivolous "Resort Fees". We paid $150 more for 3 nights for internet, parking, pool, fitness center, and 2 bottles of water. That was in addition to the $800 we already paid. The only thing we used was the internet and water. How are these hotels getting away with this? We didn't even have a coffee maker in the room. We won't go back to this hotel, nor Vegas, As long as these fees exist.
