Decent place, some flaws.

Sergey K (Redmond, Washington) on Apr 12, 2024

This is a decent place, but does have a few flaws. To start with, the check-in personnel is not very professional - they don't know how to handle corporate reservations. When I was checking in, the rep first said that she just accidentally erased my corporate payment information from the system. It took some wasted time and bringing in the manager only to find out that the corporate payment method should not even be visible to the check-in reps, since corporate payments are handled by another department, and the payment has been made already. This was a frustrating check-in experience. The AC system in rooms is rather outdated - unless the fan is set to the high mode for 24 hours a day the room does not get enough of fresh air and becomes suffocating. However, the fan running on high for 24 hours creates too much noise, especially in the night when you would expect some quiet so you could actually sleep. The room was not particularly clean either - there was hair all over the toilet, and the bathroom counter had dirty spots. The hotel security is ridiculous - there was a limo illegally parked in Uber pickup area where people are supposed to stand and get into Uber cars, and the security guy in yellow jacket on the bike basically refused to get the illegally parked limo removed, educating me that the limo is where it should be, and I am the one who should not be there. I had to call the security manager and really tell her what I think about her security guys before they took action and cleared the Uber pickup area for people to get into cars safely. On the up side, the hotel has a convenient train to Bellagio and a few good restaurants, although 2 of them are super expensive.

Friendly cool place Park MGM, Las Vegas

Adventure00203319140 on Apr 11, 2024

Didn't stay over there, just hopped in to have a peek inside. Very nice place, good natured staff, had cold coffee there. Made friends with the security officer Mr. Hank at Park MGM, who has some stern looks (matching his profile), but such a jovial & person. He suggested a cozy Italian outlet inside for food & even got me appreciable discount as a loving gesture. Hopping in at Park MGM was like a cherry on the cake at my Las Vegas short trip.

Better options for the same price

The MGM has become part of the Marriott properties, but offers no benefits to bonvoy members no matter how high. You also do not get points for your stay if you don’t book through bonvoy. Bonvoy boost the rate vs mgm site. The person at check-in was annoying. They gave me sass about being a bonvoy member and flat out told me that it doesn’t make a difference for them. I asked about points and she said oh yeah you get a $15 credit or pts. No room upgrade, you get for what you paid. Overall, I thought this casino was way better than the mgm grand. The decor was nicely done and resonates with park vibes. The entire place is also smoke free! One pool was closed down during my stay and the other was too crowded for me. The resort is annoying because they don’t even provide drinking water during your stay and good luck trying to find a waitress on the casino floor. I played for 2hrs and no waitress to be seen. Cashed out and left. They also keep the change and DO NOT RETURN COINS in the ticket redemption machine. How is this legal?!? Overall, nice hotel but if you are a high tiered bonvoy member, you are better off staying at an actual Marriott hotel. Many options for the same rate of this hotel.

We always stay at Park MGM - it is smokefree , we love Bavette's , the small casino and the friendly staff. The rooms are clean, the view is great and the housekeeping staff are always so helpful. We love Park MGM.

Great hotel, smoke free is a huge bonus

JenR285 (Australia) on Apr 09, 2024

Lovely hotel, we (2 adults, 1 child) stayed here in March and it was a great spot in Vegas for us. The fact that it is a smoke free hotel was what sold us and after walking through the lobby of another smoking hotel I am very glad we opted for this. Many food options nearby, including quite a few within the hotel/casino complex itself. There is a Target and Walgreens nearby also. There is no fridge in the room which was a bit of a shame, I think you could opt to hire one which seemed a bit strange, we didn't though so unsure of the price. No coffee making facilities either, however there is a Starbucks right near the elevators (which does get pretty busy). The room was clean and cleaners were absolutely lovely. We didn't realise until a few days in that there is a tram that goes between the ParkMGM, the Aria and Bellagio which is very handy if you are looking for a way to get a little bit down the strip. The credit card hold of $100 per night on the room took a bit long to release off my credit card (over a week), so just keep in mind if that is something that might be a problem. ATMs in the Casino have a very high surcharge, there is an ATM in the Walgreens across the road which was much lower. There is direct access to the Dolby theater from inside the casino and T-Mobile arena is very close also. Overall was a great fit for us and we would stay here again if we returned!
