The hotel is fine and fairly close to the convention center. I needed to extend my stay and the initial staff member I spoke with was very difficult and unaccommodating (bordering on rude). Luckily I left and when I returned I was able to work with Augustin, which was an entirely different experience. Agustin went out of his way to make my experience successful. His demeanor was respectful and he was easily able to address my concerns. The gym is in the basement with very limited options.

The room was spacious and had all the amenities you would expect from a upmarket hotel. The biggest problem? There was no coffee maker in the room!!! Even when I stay at the super 8 there is a coffee maker in the room. The one morning I decided to get room service coffee and had to pay $15 for two cups of coffee and had to wait 45min for delivery. Also there was a LOT of construction going on and not sufficiently shielded off from patrons. Almost felt unsafe at times. Not a horrible experience but could have been sooooo much better!!

Great economical value. Clean, friendly and comfortable. Be warned check the map its not within walking distance of the Venetian, New York-New York or main strip. Prepare to uber or use public transportation. But a great way to walk off calories. Beds are FABALOUS! I am a very picky sleeper and beds are soft yet supportive. Which is a rare hotel find. Staff great also.

Decided to try couple nights at the Sahara when a deal popped up online—most likely because there is construction going on in the Marra Tower where they put us. Attractive room for 2. It was gorgeous hot weather and we were disappointed to see that the main outdoor pool was closed. But what a nice surprise when I asked about the rooftop pool on the 4th floor of the Alexandria building and found out it was open! We spent time both afternoons lying in the sun, enjoying the chaise lounges and fresh towel service. The bar is closed for the season but we were able to bring our own refreshments—very relaxing after late nights and walking several miles each day. Overall, nice hotel and amenities. Down at the far end of the strip, Which was fine with us as we like being closer to Fremont St action.

    Some good, Some bad

Located at the North end of the strip, the location for walking isn't the greatest but there is easy access to the monorail which is great. The bed and linens are comfortable and the shower is outstanding - great water pressure and temperature. The room is spacious and very clean. The place is currently under construction so it's a bit inconvenient and the only open pool has no bar service. The staff is friendly enough but nothing above and beyond. No table service at the Casbar and had to wait a really long time for bartender acknowledgement to get an expensive drink. The service in the Northside restaurant sucks beyond sucks and the food is average at best. You can do better elsewhere even though the price is decent.
