Had the displeasure of experiencing an expensive evening at the Palms for a friends birthday party and leaving unsatisfied. We are locals and decided to stay for a night since we were doing dinner and the Billy Idol concert. Our $200 room rate deal turned into $320 after all the taxes and resort fees. The room was average at best – I recently just stayed at a Courtyard Marriott which was more plush and comfortable than this room. Furnishings were minimal – not even extra pillows on the bed (only 2 per) and no extra pillows/blankets in the closet. There was some weird funky waterproof mattress protector that made crunchy sounds every time I moved. Rooms were sparse yet neat, but nothing that should be commanding a high price - more of a budget suite. Lots of attitude on the casino floor from the bar staff-doesn’t matter if you were a man or a woman they were clearly too busy doing whatever instead of paying attention to the guests and serving drinks in a timely fashion. The food at Mabel’s barbecue was excellent and a good value but the service there was average at best. Thank goodness Kaos was closed - I’ve heard from several locals that the room windows rattle and the complaints are nonstop from all the noise. I guess that’s why they’re trying to build the dome! LOL. From all the reviews I’ve been reading they need to focus more on guest services and cleanliness instead of another night club in town.

The sole purpose of our visit to Vegas was to see Billy Idol in concert here at the palms. I was extremely upset and very disappointed with the view I had. I am a full-time wheelchair user so was sat at the back behind the last row of seats. This was a great view until.............The concert started and everyone stood up to dance! Great, all I could now see was peoples shoulders and bums!!!! I asked the usher if I could move and sit behind the stairs leading down to the seats, he said no. I explained how I could see absolutely nothing of the concert and reluctantly said ok as long as I sat up against the wall. This was better, well if you call better by everyone up and down the stairs to go to the bar/toilet or whatever and me having to wait for them to pass to carry on watching Billy!!! Oh, let's not forget the people who chose to stand on the stairs too. If venues insist on placing wheelchair users up at the back, at least make it so if/when people do stand to dance, they don't block the view. The irony was, that to my right, they had wheelchairs sitting on what looked lie a balcony, so no view obstruction possible!! Wouldn't want to repeat this experience!!

PROS: plenty of good food/drink options for all budgets, easy to park/get to rooms, big suites CONS: condescending ape at the reception desk, remodeled rooms feel amateur in design/execution, lots of random hairs throughout the bathroom

    Horrible experience, NOT WORTH IT

This was my first time staying at the Palms without having the room pre-booked through someone who works for TAO group. If you aren't associated with a "high-rolling" party, you will be treated like absolute garbage. Management has no manners, doesn't cater to guest needs, and we were greeted with SO MUCH ATTITUDE when attempting to figure out the room situation for our large party which the hotel messed up upon booking. Long story short - we had to switch rooms multiple times during the trip, had to bicker back and forth to at least get resort fees waived after one of our rooms flooded when using the bathtub, and don't even get me started on one of the night managers who essentially suggested we "go stay somewhere else if we are not happy with the rooms" on a sold out weekend during Life is Beautiful fest...horrible. Just stay on the strip and save yourself the stress and annoyance associated with pretty much every single person who works here. Would recommend a professional hospitality training course for all management staff, y'all need it.

    New look Palms Casino Resort.

Having witnessed vast changes to Las Vegas over the last 16 years the phenomenal upgrading of the Palms is right up there with the best. Seemingly nearly $700 million has been injected to move it into the 4/5 star bracket. Magnificent decor, rooms, restaurants, buffet, casino layout etc. It is now a Station Casino and well worth a visit. If you are not driving you can walk up West Flamingo Road (approx. 25mins.)at the side of the Bellagio or take a 202 bus. A third alternative is the shuttle service which leaves from the stop behind the 'Wheel' at the Linq and you can stop off at the Gold Coast Hotel which is right opposite the Palms Resort.
