    The staff at Planet Hollywood were extremely friendly and helpful. My family (including two teenagers) had a great week staying here. The pool, food and entertainment were great. Guy's Burger joint was probably our favorite as well as the coffee and gelato at Fuel. Albin went out of his way to be very helpful at the concierge desk. Diego gave us excellent service for a private dinner and Juan at Blue Tex Mex is also a great server.

    Everything is clean, trainers are very nice Jorge Geronimo, everything I need for my sport, would 100% recommend pumped fitness for anyone who travels to planet Hollywood and has a great schedule. They offer many classes per day

    I participated in the Phit Challenge on the beach led by Geronimo and Jorge. This challenge was a really fun way to get involved and get some activity in. I would definitely recommend this challenge because it’s a great way to have fun while being active. Geronimo and Jorge are amazing because they really make you feel like you can do everything easily. I would also recommend checking out the gym. It’s a great size and these two are always there to help out if you have any questions. Overall a great experience!

    This incredible challenge allowed me to push my physical ability while on vacation. Finishing 3rd place was so awesome. I appreciate the Fitness Team Jorge and Geronimo for their dedication to fitness and getting people to get fit while on vacation. Those two guys have so much passion for people and being healthy. Thank you PH Team!!

    Not the Family Resort

    So PH in Costa Rica advertises itself as a super family-friendly all inclusive resort; it's more of a kitschy, super party atmosphere, like you would expect from Vegas over Costa Rica. Plus, there are some issues and it is not the high-end customer service experience that the management thinks it is putting forward. Our private assistant (star class benefit) and the cabana wait staff were terrific. Mauricio was FIVE STAR and worked hard for us (please ask for him and tip him well). Ivan as well...FIVE STAR! This dug the resort out of a two-star experience for us. Restaurant wait staff was not high-end customer service (three stars). They need work to say the least. Food was good at the SoCal buffet and Japanese restaurant...the others were three-star at best. The resort is clean...despite some of the party-fouls other guests who apparently have never had an open-bar (all inclusive bar) package. There were quite a few. Again, this goes to the Vegas-party versus Costa Rica family resort experience. Housekeeping does a good job but they are super noisy in the AM. This place isn't easy to walk (it is super uphill) and the shuttle services is just bad. You'll be waiting for at least 10 minutes. ONE STAR for them. Front desk staff...two stars at best. Customer services skills are lacking, ability to answer questions quickly are also lacking, and frankly, some are just rude. They forget, the guests are the customers and pay the bills...not their policies. "NO" is never a good work to hear from a staff-member without some discussion...we heard it a couple of times (until you ask to speak to management). Management is where the rubber meets to road and, well, it needs some work from the top down. Two stars. One policy says, "excursion transportation that is not book through the hotel stops at the gate (including on the way back)." Yep, where there are NINE Star Class guests, including little kids, in a van returning from an excursion at 6PM we want to walk up the hill from the gate. It was a discussion that was resolved...but I'm sure it was just to placate us. The resort is noisy. Staff slams doors at early hours, you can hear the pool thump until 7PM, and the Star Class pool is just as noisy. Sorry, party time isn't resort and relaxing time. The kitschy comes from the very beginning with employees clapping as you arrive on the red-carpet (after a long and sweaty flight where all of us look oh so glamorous), while handing you a purple drink that is color coordinated to the entire resort. All in all...check, been there done that...not returning.
