Outstanding stay!

My recent stay was phenomenal! To begin with, sanitation mats were outside the main lobby’s building for shoes, as well as a hand sanitizer dispenser when my family and I arrived from the airport shuttle which “wowed” my family and I. We arrived around 2:00 pm, and our room was available for check-in. The room was clean and looked as appealing in person as it did online. All staff persons showed outstanding hospitality and were consistently friendly. The food and drink selections were plentiful, and all of the food and drinks tasted superb. My family and I can not wait to vacation at the property again!

Each & every staff member we came across was super nice and professional. Our family fell in love with the resort and all the fun that came along with it. We will definitely be coming back here again. The food was fantastic. The breakfast spread was always bountiful and beautiful. Smoked salmon, no problem mon. More champagne for breakfast? No problem Mon. We loved so many of the wonderful people working there from housekeeping to the pool bars to the food servers. I wish I could remember everyone's name... Leonis "Lenny", Recardo, Ishmail, Mikhael were just a few of the standouts. I am embarrassed I didn't write everyone's name down. The housekeeping was fantastic. Room service... fantastic (but you do have to wait a bit so be prepared). I researched a number of AI resorts in Mobay & am beyond excited we chose to stay here. Do yourself a favor and come here too!! You will love it!!
Great service and property very convenient to airport

We just came back from 5 nights here. Kids (10 and 13) really enjoyed the pools, the protected ocean swimming area and the ping pong. We enjoyed the dining variety and the only complaint is that the fish was always very over cooked. I had a beautiful piece of snapper that was almost inedible and my sons lovely looking salmon was very dry from overcooking. Might be a local thing. We had a butler service ocean front room and the service was very nice. Please bring lots of $5 bills for tips. These people work hard and depend on us to help them make a living.
Keep up the good work Hyatt!

I revisited Hyatt Ziva for the Easter weekend and overall I had a good time. It was a family trip including 4 adults and 4 kids between the ages of 1 and 5. Covid Procedures The resort was clean. They made an attempt to have hand sanitizing stations conveniently located throughout the hotel. They provided hand sanitizers in the rooms and I saw a worker walking around sanitizing the couches and lounge chairs on the property. I am not sure if all of this really helps but it certainly helped to make us feel more relaxed. We were required to wear a mask in the stores and upon entering the restaurants and bars and bathrooms etc. This was strictly enforced. The staff members all wore their masks diligently. I did not see an instant of this rule being violated and sincerely appreciated that. The hotel provided a quick and free Covid test for guests staying longer than 3 days. So you don’t have to leave the resort before travel long back to the US. Now this is a family resort located on the beach so lots of people were walking around with no mask but in areas that could be controlled I think the hotel made a great effort to enforce specific policies and people were coherent. Resort Amenities & Restaurants Well unfortunately we didn’t get to experience all of the restaurants on property as they were all booked up so my advise would be to make reservations before you even get there because apparently they go quickly. For the restaurants we did try, an Italian, Asian fusion, Jerk Hut, Sports bar and some other type of Fusion...they were decent. So far, I haven’t been to a restaurant at an all inclusive resort that had amazing food but it’s all about being worry free and convenient for the kids and this resort definitely provides that. The food was decent and the kids found stuff they loved and ate continuously. So overall we were well fed. There was only one restaurant open for lunch though and after 3 days, we went through everything on the menu. I would suggest opening another restaurant for lunch or changing the menu every couple of days. The drinks were decent. Blended fruit punches, rum punches, various other cocktails and house wines. You could even buy wine by the bottle if that’s your thing. Not much for little kids to do....passed by the kids club a couple times but it was closed. They did put up a huge slide and rock climbing thing one day which looked exciting but was definitely too old for my kids. They did however enjoy getting their faces painted and having popcorn and cotton candy. The kids also enjoyed going to a pastry store they had and getting candy and ice cream. They offered some pretty good coffee too. Hats off to the staff members. They were professional, welcoming, helpful and followed the Covid protocol. So unfortunately, I have to give some constructive criticism. 1. I waited way too long for my room. I got there at 12PM and did not get assigned a room untilI 4PM. I have 2 young kids and it was very inconvenient. We requested a joint room and was told one was ready but not the other. The first thing I like doing when I arrive at a hotel room during Covid is sterlitlize, wipe high touch areas, hang up clothes etc. There was a 12PM travel restriction on the day we checked in so everyone got there before 12....I kind of feel like management should have anticipated this would have been the case and made better preparations so we could have gotten our rooms a little early. 2. We got married here. We revisited the hotel we honeymooned after and they provided a lovely bottle of wine and a room upgrade. Not expecting either or both but I think these personal touches really helps to differentiate an ordinary hotel from a high quality hotel that personally makes an effort to make their guests feel special. Overall though they have maintained their quality of service and we enjoyed our stay. Keep up the good work Hyatt.
Great Hotel which Captures the True Essence of Jamaica

This is one of Jamaica's best resorts as it comes close to capturing authentic Jamaican food and culture, while still providing resort type relaxation. The staff are polite, and on each of my stays, I have had at least one stand out employee. They include, Mortimer (pool bar), Jason (check-in), Shantol, Sophia, Ameika and Kimberly (Kids Club).
