    This vintage hôtel has 2 great things working for it. The excellent beach and bay view from the Terraces of many room. Secondly, the large rooms and their vintage decor. However, the disadvantages are many: - Air Conditioning could not be régulated - Toilets stuffed easily - Towels on the grey side - Elevators often did not go to all floors. - No hand rails on many stairways. - Difficult street access - Same price rooms do not have the same amenities eg. refrigerator, coffee maker. - Located at end of beach with hilly streets and Broken pavements - 3 pools in non sunny spots with difficult access.

    I used to stay here all the time yet my last two times were an absolute HELL. (I came back thinking that with the new front desk staff they were not in tune with quest's needs) But no, this is just the way the run the hotel now. The prices went up and the service and standards took a nose dive straight down. The worst part was i requested to speak to the manager and was told he was not available. Even after explaining to them that if i did not get the opportunity to speak with a manager that i would NEVER come back, needless to say she did not care in the slightest. Never did get to speak with him. I come to the blue chairs beach and hang out with friends but would NEVER EVER STAY HERE AGAIN! So sad because i used to have a great time here ... they have lost a guest for life! Seriously dont even think they care .... IF THEY WOULD ONLY TAKE A FEW MOMENTS TO HEAR WHAT THEIR GUESTS ARE SAYING!!! Also would not recommend running a tab on the beach - or be very careful if you do. I had 3 beers and sandwich the bill came to $75 USD - turns out one of the waiters was drinking on my tab and buying drinks for his friends :( Lessons Learned JUST not a way to run a place at all

    A Disgusting Waste of Money!!

    I don't even know where to begin!! When I arrived for Check In I had been downgraded from a Junior Suite to a Standard Room/Partial Ocean View Room (I had to pay extra just for a Standard Room/Ocean View). The room was FILTHY and REEKED of mildew! Greasy stains all over the wall above the bed from "lube!, both lamp shades hanging to the side that never did attach, holes in the curtains with mildew on the bottom. The floor was extremely gritty (I had to wipe my feet every time I got into bed). Amenities: a tray with 2 mugs and a coffee maker but NO coffee, creamer, napkins, nothing; a little bottle of shampoo and 1 soap; 2 pillows on king size bed (I asked for another, 2 days later I got half a pillow, "it's all we have"); no hangers ("we don't have any," the next day I got a handful of random plastic/metal ones); NO WiFi! The AC unit was caked with dirt, dust on everything, and bird feces covered the balcony. Security? a regular house doorknob with twist lock and a slide change barely attached, 2 slide locks on balcony door that didn't fit. The pool was filled with debris and the cold "hot tub" had broken off tiles lining the bottom and had never been grouted. This was absolutely the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed and I have traveled extensively!!

    As I stared at the bleak frozen landscape that is my home and desperately searched for a week out, bam! There it was. A thousand bucks each for flight and hotel in PV. Oh, I was hasty. Then the significant other started reading reviews. Worst hotel ever. Terrible staff. On it went. Oh. And it’s a gay hotel. Well, whatever. People laughed when I told them where we were staying. Worst hotel in Mexico! I thought, “I rather doubt that.” Anyway, here are my impressions after a week. Staff are fine and accommodating. They switched us to another room when we asked. There’s a nice pool on the main floor and a couple of smaller ones on upper floors. The guests are predominantly male with odd hetero couple like us. The place is a little long in the tooth; but it’s not quite the horror show we read about. Our room had a nice ocean view and it’s effectively on the beach and in the heart of a great deal of activity. I’m not recommending it one way or another, but; I don’t want to condemn it, either. There’s wifi in the lobby and a few guys down the street who are relentless and amusing in their efforts to have you check out some beach club nearby. That’s Mexico.

    I must say i was extremely disappointed.  I consider myself a non-complainter, easy going person.  I did read the reviews about this place and thought i could overcome some of the complaints.  First the web site pics are staged and does not represent the rooms. The rooms are sparsely furnished, with no assessories and decor.    I booked this on line, a standard room, the standard room is 645 sq/ft, with balcony, 42 in wall mounted TV, coffee maker, top quality pillow top mattress.    When i checked in my room it was about 300 sq/ft.  My room had a small 24 inch TV on the dresser.  Nothing on the night tables, and three little handcrafted plates on the wall over the bed.  At first glance, the room was not that bad.  Travertine marble floors throughout,  nicely done travertine marble walkin shower with a rain shower head from the ceiling, perfect for two. A above counter marble bowl sink.  Big mirrors and helogen recessing lighting throughout.  New A/C unit, and a nice ceiling  light/fan combo.  The things i didn't like, bedding.  The sheets were the worst i every seen, thin polycotton that were so worn and pillsed.  The mattress was disgusting and should be burned,  i wish i never had looked.  The top coverlet was very nice, make it look all very presentable at first glance.  I did not have hot water in my sink, later to find out my sink drain leaked into the vanity cabinetry, my hot water was turned off because it leaked from the shut off valve to the faucet. Patio door locks were either  broken or missing, they were tried to be replace with some lightweight flimsy unit wich was not made for patio doors. Easy fixes but maintenance is not a strong point.  Nor is cleaning, the place is kinda filthy throught.  I did get to see the other 650 sq/ft rooms,  i was happier in my smaller room. Even thought i did not get what i paid for.  I spent $7 in cleaning supplies, spend alittle time clean my own room, felt must better after that.  I did get to know one of the cleaning staff there, was informed they do not get paid by the hotel, guest tips are their income.  Kinda disgusted that a LGBT business  treat their employees like that.   My overall impression is that the lack of cleaning, maintenance and moral values this place will continue to get bad reviews and will only attract the less desirable people.   A positive note, the beach is nice, serving staff is very attentive and friendly. You don't need to be a guest at the hotel to use there beach and their services, a note you may want to keep in mind.
