Another Amazing Visit

Carlos remembers me from years past and makes us feel like family! Everything we need is always taken care of quickly and effectively. He was able to make all our reservations for us and fulfill any requests we had. He always came to check on us everyday and found us to see if we needed anything extra. You could truly see he wanted to be there for us not just there to do his job. He is the nicest butler we have ever had and will always request him. Thank you for your amazing service.

Great hotel, I am still here at the hotel and is already making reservations to return in one year. Although most of the staff speaks Spanish they made you feel very comfortable and is always willing to assist and cater to your needs.. The service, location, staff and food A+ hotel. Great job, to everyone at the hotel. Thank you!
Great time at Mirage

I stayed at majestic mirage for a week with my gf- we both celebrated birthdays. Things I will explain in my review: -the hotel accomodations -the hotel restaurants -our hotel butler -spa -the vacation experience in DR/excursions Hotel Accomodations: Our room was fantastic. I booked through an online website, which I would not recommend. I would reserve a room directly from the hotel. Basically, because we used a third party, and specific details of the reservation were not guaranteed ( things like 1 bed, 18+ section of the hotel, etc). As a result, checking in took about 4 hours which would have taken a standard island time of 15 minutes (1.5 hours) because they had to open a room they hadn't used since before covid. There was a slight musty smell to the room, but it was easy to get over since the room was amazing (we got the swim up w/ private jacuzzi). Hotel restaurants: Room service- a little slow, expect 45-75 min for the food to arrive. The food was decent, similar quality to the seafood or main buffet restaurants. Seafood- this is an 'all-types of food's buffet during breakfast and lunch, and turns into a seafood restaurant at night. Average food from here with a wide selection during the day. The lobster on the dinner menu was underwhelming. Main buffet- we only went here for breakfast, it was good and you can get a wide variety of breakfast foods, including individually prepared crepes or omelettes. Italian- we had an amazing seafood pasta dinner here. Amazing. We arrived a little late in the dinner service, so the service was a little slow, but a great meal. Pants are required. French- very good food appetizers and main courses, deserts are a little underwhelming. Waited made a great wine choice based on my gf's description of what she likes. Pants are required, reservation required. Japanese- overall, great meal and experience. We had the hibachi grill meal, there's apparently a way to sit down without a reservation and get sushi, which we didn't know until the last night of our trip. Pants required, reservation required for hibachi. Our butler, Diego!!: Diego was very cool, always said hello and responded to requests. The spa services and golf services need to be set up through those specific offices, but restaurant reservations and anything related to our room he was great. He did a great job setting up our room and fulfilling a couple special requests for our birthdays and otherwise. The Spa: The spa was great, I there's a little 'warm up' routing you can go through before your service, where they take you through a few rooms- sauna, turkish bath, aromatic room, etc. A dip in an ice bath followed by some time in a hot water jacuzzi before your massage... It was interesting and fun. The massage was great, my gf also got a body scrub/mineral wrap, she enjoyed it as well. The DR as a vacation spot: We did 3 excursion, 2 booked through the goMajestic office and 1 at a small building located on the beach. Mini-powerboat trip (booked on the beach): was not great, the power boat was fun but they deliver you to a waist deep oasis a few hundred yards out into the ocean, which was very cool, but they basically five you drinks and then tell you it costs 30$ after. I only gave them 20$, still a bad deal and they were mad... Snorkeling was very underwhelming, the gear was poor quality. Somewhat long travel time, ~30 min, some waiting around for the bus after. Buggy experience: fantastic, we did this on the only day where it really rained. Made the experience so much better. Somewhat long travel time, ~30 min. Catalina island: all day, music on the boat was maybe 15% too loud, but still very fun. Lunch was good, snorkeling was pretty decent, snorkeling gear was decent. Free drinks after snorkeling. Long travel time though, maybe 1+ hour to get to the boat. Our guide, Samuel, was amazing! The best experience we had with an individual excursion employee whole we were there. DR needs more guides like him!!! Overall, fantastic experience at majestic mirage. DR was a good choice. Beware, on every one of the excursions they will deliver you to some dominican locals who will hound you for money/sales. Once you realize this, just tell them to buzz off and you will enjoy your time much more. Catalina island was the least touristy feeling, fewest swarming dominicans with birds/lizards/monkeys/junk for sale.

We had an amazing vacation in Majestic Mirage Punta Cana! The beach was just incredible and the ocean was mesmerizing. There are a lot of different beach and pool cabanas so every day you can choose where to be. Special thanks to Roberto and Wander from the animation group for making so many fun activities and always making sure we had a great time! We are Definitely coming back again !!!
Outstanding Trip with Friends, Great staff and followed COVID protocols.

Had a outstanding trip with couples. We stayed 7 nights. First of all the hotel and staff followed COVID protocols and wore mask all the time including the worker that climbed a tree to cut a branch. A shout out to Elvis, our butler. We saw him two times before he was introduced to us as our butler and he was very helpful and friendly. After he was introduced as our butler we exchanged WhatsApp information so we could text him if we needed anything. We did text him a few times during the week and he would quickly respond. Elvis set up reservations for the 2 restaurants that require it right a way to make sure we got the day and time we wanted. He gave us an overview of the resort. During the day we would see him at the pool or at the beach and he always asked us if we needed anything. If its an option, I would try to request him. The other two couples butler were not as helpful or around as much. Elvis was also helpful with our departure from the resort. Our bus did not pick us up, he helped with the taxi and the use of the ATM and how much it would cost. THE ROOM: It was huge. There were like two rooms, and the rooms look bigger in person then the pictures on the web. A/C was ice cold. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The room was cleaned very well every day. We were on the third floor. I would recommend if your staying on the first floor with pool access, try to get a courtyard view instead of a view on the outside of the complex. The court yard you can swim out to the larger pool and see more things. The outside of complex it is a little louder since there is a service road next to them behind the bushes. FOOD: We did the buffet for breakfast and a couple dinners. For Breakfast five days we did the Sea side Beach and we were greeted by Enda or Eddie, I can not remember but she was very friendly and remembered our names. The other 2 days we did the marketplace and Super Dario was our server and was very helpful and funny. Italian, French, and Steakhouse all were very good. Japanese- Food was outstanding. Pedro was are server with our cook Sisses (sp?) were funning and entertaining while our food was being cooked in front of us. In the evenings we would pregame before our dinner at the piano bar. The pianist was outstanding and he also plays in the one of the restaurants. ENTERTAINMENT: During the day at the pool, Banana David and CHI CHI (or shi shi) and the gang did pool games and they were also at the theater at night. The did a good job and were funny. After dinner there were different shows in the theater. The shows were good and entertaining for a resort. It is a nice setup because we sat in the plaza which is next to the theater and watched the show while we could talk with our friends. After the show they would have some type of DJ in the plaza. While we were in the plaza we watched the show or listening to the DJ: Milqueyi was our excellent outstanding server. Milqueyi was fun and entertaining. She knew our names and what drinks we would want. Milqueyi would dance and she was a hard worker and quick with our drinks. I would recommend finding her in the plaza to be your server the first night and you will want her to be your server for your total time in the plazza. Overall we had a great time and I would recommend the Majestic Mirage. Things that could be improved. More servers in the buffets, since you can not serve yourself. TV picture quality was not very good and channel selection was limited for English. Yes, I know its vacation but maybe ESPN might go a long way. Again, I would go back to this resort: great time, friendly helpful staff and fair price.
