    Beautiful Relaxing Resort

    We love the All-Inclusive reasonably priced Melia Resort having been there 17 times - each time for 8 days. COVID safety precautions were in place during our April 14-21 2021 visit. The weather for all visits has been perfect 95% of the time. The property is beautiful from the picturesque welcoming lobby to the immaculately landcaped grounds which include peacocks, flamingos, ducks and turtles in one of the many ponds. Very few flies if any. It has white sand beaches with lots of comfortable chaise lounge chairs and clean ocean water and multiple swimming pools. The spacious rooms have balconies, are nicely decorated and clean. The tranquil spa is relaxing. Two of the multiple buffet and sitdown restaurants are on the beach and all have delicious food. We eat vegetarian and fish and were not disappointed. There are many bars which will serve just about anything you can think of. The local beer - Presidente which is on tap - compares favorably with many other enjoyable beers from around the world. Everyone is friendly. The property is quite large and is perfect for those who like to walk everywhere. At night the grounds are appropriately lit with unobstrusive lighting and ideal for romantic walks. For those who don't walk, there are cute choo choo trains that circle the grounds all day long and there are also consistently available 2-6 seater golf carts that will take you anywhere on the property. Jose Acosta, our personal butler was attentive and helpful. There are many other positives which can be added to the list. There are a few negatives. Sometimes service is not always immediate but that's okay with us. The tennis courts need repairing. There is bit of confusion with the name changes of a number of restaurants and the four different types of accomodations We plan on returning within the next 12 months

    Post pandemic getaway just before the crowds return. Best value for of vacation I have ever had. We never waited for anything. Service was great. Bring a couple hundred dollars in singles and tip throughout the stay, the staff appreciate and deserve it.

    Covid notes: The resort does a good job of managing safety, everyone wears masks, and there are disposable gloves for the self serve buffet. The standards promote safety without being overbearing. The US requires a negative test 3 days before boarding you flight home. The resort provides free testing on site. It was a smooth and simple process, book your test time a day before, fill out some electronic forms. We had results emailed quickly after our tests. The airline verified the negative results from my phone at check in for our flight. This vacation started with a bit of stress when at the last minute we found out the resort we had booked was closed and we were being moved to another resort farther away from the beach. We canceled that and re-booked at the Melia Punta Cana Adults only. The resort is beautiful and right on the beach, but what made the vacation so memorable were the employees that welcomed us like family and made this the best vacation yet. We were greeted by Oliver the manager who took a personal interest in seeing that we were happy with our stay. Juan Adbricoles and Eddy Sambo took it from there ensuring that we had everything we needed from water in our room to dinner reservations, Spa appointments and rides when needed. They truly went above and beyond to see that we were enjoying our vacation. Thank you also to the level manager Roberto. Food & drink; Breakfast and lunch at Rumba while enjoying the beautiful sea views was perfect. We had great service at each visit from the hostess who greeted us with a smile and ensured we had gloves and a mask at the buffet, to all the servers who made sure we were never low on coffee, water or wine. Excelente! Romantic dinner on the beach; Rumba manager Nelson Olaverria helped us book this wonderful extra. How could you not love lobster and champagne under the moon on the beach? It was a perfect night! Level roof top bar; this was a wonderful spot and by itself would make it worth upgrading to the level. Alphonzo remembered our order after the first day and made sure we had perfect martini’s while we enjoyed the sun setting every night after. Wine; the house wine served was fine for everyday meals. But if you want something special sommelier, Ariel Madrigal, will see that you are taken care of. We paid extra a few times for wine and it was worth it. For out last evening of vacation I had told Ariel I wanted a special bottle of wine, I described the type of wine I liked and asked Ariel to choose it for me. He seemed genuinely happy to do so and the wine he picked was a delicious Spanish red that was a perfect complement to the meal. Spa; the spa was so good we went back a second time! After the massage enjoy an outdoor shower and dip into the hot pool. It was a wonderful experience. Because not all of the Melia resorts are open, staff has been consolidated to those that are open. We were surprised at how many people we remembered from prior vacations at other resorts. (of course how could I forget Vladimir!) I was even more surprised by how many remembered us and greeted us like old friends. We are Melia club members and what really sets Melia above the rest is their employees. Thank you all for making our vacation so wonderful. We will see you again next spring!

    My husband and I enjoyed our trip to Melià Hotel and Resort. The stay started off rocky as we paid extra for a beachside view room and our first room, all we saw was the lawn. Front desk initially didn't want to adjust our room but eventually did. The highlight for the rest of our stay was relaxing and being assisted by Odeiris and Francisco. Odeiris made sure we didn't need for anything. From help with our dinner reservations to sending us dessert and champagne on the day of our anniversary to tending to our medical needs! Thank you for being so kind. Francisco made taxi reservations and picked us up from our room promptly for our departure. Thank you for being so helpful with our excursions away from the resort. Our room was nice. Food was good! Thank you both and everyone who makes the resort special. ?? WW ROSS

    Upon arrival we were met by Odeidris she took care of us from time arrived until we left the property. Excellent customer service and help. All the staff in the resort were amazing and very friendly. Hector and Natalie took care of us at The Level beachside We did some research and booked this resort on the reviews of their food ,do have to say the food was very disappointing. I would have to say below average. The only restaurant we ate that the food was above the quality of the other restaurants and Buffet was Cosa nostra. Maybe they will get to correct this problem. My rating on this is due to the food quality.
