We booked our stay at this hotel for 10 nights at last minute with 1 day before departure due to our dream holiday that we had looked forward to all year had been cancelled to Orlando because of hurricane Dorian. I am SO glad we came here. The hotel was brilliant I don’t know where to start. The rooms are big and spacious, the comfiest huge bed! A small living area, balcony and lovely spacious bathroom. The mini fridge was stocked daily. The room was cleaned daily always before we came back at 3pm ish and fresh towels. Our toilet broke the first day and we luckily caught the maintenance man straight outside who fixed it straight away for us. The pool is big and always enough sun beds. Great activities happening in the pool and around the hotel all day. My partner loved the group volleyball matches. The sun beds are comfy. Drinks available all day from 10:30 and the lovely snack bar or restaurants for some lunch. The food was the best out of any all inclusive resort I have been to - I have stayed in many places and if you think this is bad then you need to get elsewhere! If you are expecting a fine dining restaurant quality for each meal then DO NOT come to an all inclusive resort, spend more money and eat out every night. The hotel does a great job at catering for all different nationalities and quantities of people. I never had the same thing twice and the food was always good. The waiting staff are great and bringing drinks and checking on you. Every single member of staff we dealt with were friendly and happy to help, so welcoming!! The bell boys are so funny and nice and always help you with your luggage or dropping you off in the buggies at various locations. This is a eco hotel and there are many wild animals roaming the place which I loved! Would recommend this hotel to anyone, we would love to come back in a heart beat. Thanks for a great holiday!! Would recommend excursions xel ha, coba Maya traditions when you stay here.

This was my second time in Bahia Principe Coba, and this one was even better then the first 7 years ago. All the staff were lovely, friendly and very concerned to satisfy all our requests. The food was one of the best parts of our stay specially the dinner in the Mediterraneo restaurant! The room was huge and very clean, as well as the balcony to just enjoy and read a book in late evening or just enjoy the sounds of the nature around. The beach was not that bad regarding to the “sargaço” in the water, it was actually pretty good and there’s always staff cleaning the water all times to make sure there’s the minimum sargaço in the water, and the temperature of the water was around 23/25 degrees all times. Thank you to Bahia Principe to be always an amazing place to stay in wonderful Mexico!

    VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

I'm not sure how people rated this a 5 star perhaps they never went to one or have anything to relate it to? Here are the issues we faced: -3 hr check in wait time -Roof leaked in lobby rain was pouring down on tables and when we went to fancy restaurants for dinner -We were handed mosquito spray in fine dining restaurants-The Brazilian one (people were spraying at their tables where food was it was bad) -Need better roofs/insulation you are a multimillion $ company for goodness sakes! -Most didn't speak english hard to translate any problem -No A/C in theaters or comfortable seating (used wicker with no cushions I guess to save $) -Only allowed to choose 3 restaurants out of 10 they all looked the same and wanted to stick us in a tent with more mosquito's. -Lunch/Dinner same for 8 days straight lots of food but wasn't great. -No A/C at disco/club they turned it off to save $ -No music much people looked bored in lobby's at sports bar (no food just drinks in a massive sports bar and nachos) People started dancing to no music or bringing their own speaker for entertainment. -Beaches super rocky most stuck to pools. -They say 24hrs snack bar is open but it's not only open till 3am. -Last night found a massive roach in room running around -Some front desk people were rude and 90 min presentations they get upset if you don't purchase $30,000 for trips to their resort. Didnt listen to our concerns kept pushing a sale. I'm not one to complain for real but pay more and stick to the Rui's or Royalton's you get what you pay for I was sadly disappointed but made the best of it.

Just spent 2 weeks at this hotel and had a great time. Staff are friendly and can't do enough for you, buffet restaurant has a great selection and loads to choose from. There are 2 pools with pool bars and snack bars and 3 jacuzzi pools. We also went to the Japanese restaurant which was very nice and the Mexican restaurant. You can also use the facilities at the Tulum. The beach is excellent to which also has a bar close by. The rooms are spread out but you can get on the golf carts which run all day and stop at 3am. Would definitely go back

    Very hit and miss!!

Where do I begin, overall the complex is lovely. There’s plenty of pools and bars. It’s made up of 4 hotels however you have to pay extra for 2 of them which is around $15pp per day!! Initially when we arrived it was quite quiet and relaxed until the Friday when the Mexicans come for a long weekend. They take over all the sunbeds not caring if your stuff is on them, trash the place by leaving food, cups and rubbish everywhere and go around in large groups to intimidate you. 10 adults and 6 children to 4 sunbeds waiting for you to move to sit on your bed and push you out. The rooms are a good size and clean. The Tv is a bit pointless though as there’s next to no English channels so be mindful when trying to entertain children in the room. The food is lovely, the a la cartes are a must. We also treated ourselves to the lobster at $65 and it was well worth it for 2. But food in the main buffet is just as good. There are lots of beautiful wild animals around the complex including lizards, iguanas and raccoons. This makes for lovely balcony views! The Tui reps unfortunately aren’t up to the standards we’ve had previously. Quite often not there at advertised times, unfriendly and not too helpful when you need something sorting. If I’m honest I’m not sure if I would revisit as I fell we could probably get more value for money elsewhere.
